Hey! I've noticed that my Google My Business listing is currently ranked fourth. I've added AI content to it and linked it to my homepage. However, I also have a specific landing page dedicated to it. I'm wondering if these changes will have any impact on its ranking?
Not sure the AI content will move the needle but the link to the page you've chosen will.
? I have a local business directory dedicated to dog services (groomers, trainers, vets, etc...) I'm having a problem picking a category -- what do you suggest ?

@@rankingacademy Thanks for the reply, well if I have over 200 listings everything from grooming to dog training to vets .... I would have to say grooming is most active.... Dog Groomers category, eh? even know I don't provide the service... it's just a business directory service. I was looking at business services categories.
If it's just a business directory that doesn't provide a service then I don't think you can have a GBP in that case. Focus on your site's normal SEO
Ran into a problem with tip #33 I ask a question and it doesn't show up in my business account. but when I log out I can see the question in the Google listing unanswered... DOH!
Barry Schwartz posted on seroundtable that this is a bug on Google and he's having same issue. guess I'll have to wait and see if they fix it.. .

Hello Sir, Social Media link is not showing for my business profile . I am living in India. but my competitor added to it's profile.
I don't think the feature is available in India. It's likely your competitor's social media links were automatically added by Google
I do not see social media linking option and ask question option in my GMB account. Kindly help.

@@rankingacademy better to ask for forgiveness than permission? Haha
I would not recommend doing it without a DBA. However, if your listing already has strong signals (lots of reviews, traffic, etc), Google may let you pass and your local performance will improve. Just keep in mind that a competitor can also use the redressal form to report your listing as inaccurate/misleading or they can edit the listing back to your actual name. Luc has covered this topic in some of his other great videos!

Identifies as white owned
Identifies as hetero owned
Identifies as sys-normative
