That was me with the Diet Sprite! Thank you for the wonderful tour. Very grateful to have met such a legend. Hope one day they can recreate the Ingalls house like they did in 1997 for tours 😊
Such a sweet interview. I really admire Dean, for not only being so down-to-earth, but also because for him, this is not "just about the tv show". His dedication to preserving the legacies of Laura and Almanzo go beyond the show, and because I have a love of the "real" Laura and Almanzo, I totally appreciate Dean's commitment to keeping their legacies alive. From my prairie heart, a heartfelt thank you, Dean.
Alison as the tour guide was so awesome!!! I was on the 11 am tour!! I went to Thank everyone for all the hard work that the cast and crew have done for the 50th , the tours and of course the Podcast!!!💜
OMG I can SO relate to Mr. Butler’s experience(s)! For example, I too become bright red when I blush and kids pointed out all of the time. I was also a “good girl” and very well behaved aka not “cool”. Looking forward to part 2 on the podcast next week and buying/reading Mr. Butler’s book. ❤
I love these interviews and stories. I've been revisiting LHOTP and now have set about reading all the memoirs of the cast. Alison, I feel like we're old friends! Your book was incredible. I hope to meet you one day! ♥️
Almanzo and Nellie, please definitely come to Germany, you have a lot of fans here, Little house on the Prairie is repeated on our television every time ! Many greetings from Germany
I grew up in the 70's and when I introduced my kids to "Little House", My daughter with special needs (mentally impaired) was so "in-love" with Almanzo that she named her new fancy lamp "the Almanzo lamp" because she loved the lamp and loved Almanzo. Funny. She is now 27 and still remembers her "Almanzo lamp" and we laugh about it.
Dean must have been the cutest ever as a child, since he still is. ❤ I hope there are some pics of him at that time in the book. By the way, some countries dubbed shows like LHOP, but not all. Here in the Nordic countries, we get the real deal (only cartoons for small kids will be dubbed). We watch everything in the original language (with subtitles, though we speak english).Thank you for another lovely episode! Lots of ❤ to Dean!
The stories behind the scenes we hear about in these podcasts are so great to hear about. reading a book is always great...and i will be getting Deans book. But the way you say the words is what makes or breaks a scene or story. You guys are great!! I do hope the tours run for a good while longer as i do not live in Ca but very much want to go see where it all happened...at least the hot and dry dusty portion of it🙂
that was a really good epsode of the podcast i look forward to hopefully reading deans new book when i do get it and i look forward to tomorrow episode of this podcast and i look forword to meeting alison and dean in walnut grove hopefully next month as well
I’m wondering if your podcast is getting a good reach. I am not sure how I found it. One day it popped up. Thankful it did. I hope to visit Simi Valley one day 🤞

KTLA is huge to people in LA, I still search every NY day for their Rose Parade coverage.
I'm surprised NBC isn't doing a special event for this. This has got to be one of NBC'S biggest shows.
So even when they announced that “Charles” won the best tv dad competition today, the network really hasn’t done anything to embrace this legacy.
Sounds like Half Pint could be a little pill LOL
Love the show ❤

I'm obsessed with 19th century America all because of LH! I'm English btw 😉👒
So am I cause it was the people against the plain lands. By the way, I like Yorkshire due to Mr. Herriot. Why, because of the people of Yorkshire.
Is Dean Butler wearing the same shirt in the podcast that he is wearing on the cover of his book? On purpose?😊
Will the book be available on Audible or just on CD?
cozie did a contest of all the tv dads and in the 2000s they picked charles michael landon
