This is the reason I have always ridden motorcycles for the last 48 years. The mind and the soul are so at ease when riding. There is nothing else in the world like it in my humble opinion and thanks for a great video brother. Keep riding.
Love the videos. I’m an over the road (OTR) truck driver here in the USA and can’t get out on my bike as often as I’d like. These videos take away a lot of stress. Great job.
Wow! That's a great classic event. Oh, Volocette! OMG! Ducati 750 sport(1973) This is my most favorite motorcycle. Capesthorne Hall? Hmm...I wanna go to there~ lol. Thanks always for the awesome video.
Absolutely DELICIOUS ... watch-drool-repeat ! Even amongst such illustrious posing-gems, your bike is a stunner! What an amazing day that must have been... Congrats buddy, keep up the awesome editing and contents Cheers and best regards from PORTUGAL
Hello Mat, perfect motorcycle, perfect day and environment, a pleasure to see you again, beautiful country in which you live. have a very good week, greetings to you and your community
Hey mat… congrats for yours videos, beautiful place.. your country is beautiful!! Your bike too… i love the music in your vid, can you show more about your outfit… looking good!!! God bless you….
Thanks Maury, certainly are some nice places in the UK! I'll put some links in the description about the gear I'm wearing...and thanks for the compliment!
I lived in Chester for many years and my grandparents lived in Macclesfield so I ploughed the road back and forth between the two many times. I used to do the Macc-Buxton Road to the Cat & Fiddle on my RD400 Yamaha . . .that was a fun route but from what I've seen in videos its all speed camera controlled these days!
The Cat&Fiddle’s still a great route Steve, it’s all average 50mph now but to be fair, you’d have to be absolutely tonking it around to go over that for most of it 😁
Very nice ride… It‘s always a pleasure to participate in your excursions. By the way: my first choice was also a Triumph. Unfortunately it was sold out. So I bought a Moto-Guzzi V 7 this summer… Keep on riding an filming. Best wishes from Bavaria…
hello, nicely done. It gives me inspiration for my trip documenting stuff with the right angles. I was wondering where u got the winddeflector. It looks neat.
@@ClassicRides So u have clean air all around? I am worried the wind deflects to my helmet causing buffeting. I also have a T120 with the longhaul windscreen, but things got even worse so i added another deflecter on top :-) I dont like the looks of it, so i have to find something else. Can i ask how tall your are? it would give me a good idea.
@@maartenwuyts6569 So I'm not very tall, 5'7", so maybe the wind isn't such an issue for me, but generally yes, there is definitely wind, but it's clean air usually, unless it's very windy anyway.
I would say just invest in decent quality gear. A custom made seat with medical gel and memory foam will make longer rides sooo much more comfortable (and make your bike look cooler). Then I’d say just buy the best ‘all rounder’ jacket you can afford. A jacket that will keep you dry and warm is worth spending a bit extra on. Most of the videos I’ve done so far have been somewhere between 80- 120 mile rides, some longer ones in there too though. Being ‘bike-fit’ is a thing though, the more you ride, the more you can ride 😁
@@enfieldlover8145 That's kind of you, it's all done now though, uploaded in 4K greatness. I should have waited before publishing but I'm too impatient sometimes!
@@ClassicRides Some people tend towards the scambler look for some reason. I could understand it if you do some green laning occasionally otherwise you loose that great handling of this nimble bike. Not my thing. Also I hate 2 in 1 pipes... they look terrible and leave one side empty.
Hello and Merry Christmas! I'm Pedro from Portugal and I follow your channel. The way they are filmed and edited transmits a calm and serenity that I really like, good job! I have a 2014 Bonneville T100 and I recently installed crash bars on it. Question! Where can I get an auxiliary fog light like the one you have on your T120? Which, I must say, looks spectacular. Thank you and I hope you continue to post more videos! Best regards and thank you for your attention!
Hi Pedro, Merry Christmas to you too! I bought the light from o motorcycle breaker on eBay, so I’m not sure what it’s come off. I think it’s a Harley Davidson spotlight though, if you search for “5 inch Harley Davidson chrome spotlight” you should find something similar for sale.
Glad you like the videos John, yes the screen is from Motone, it’s the polished airblade version. I’m afraid I can’t tell you much about the spotlight, I bought it from a breaker on eBay so I don’t know the manufacturer or even what it came off.
Thanks, the seat is custom made by Hurley Custom Seats. He does fantastic work, really well put together and it has a medical gel and memory foam insert so it’s comfortable too.
I make my own bags now Jamie. I’ve still got the Kriega’s and id probably use them for a very long trip, but most of the time I use my own bags as they suit the modern Classic look a bit better.
Love your videos mate. May I ask what year and color is your Triumph? Is it a 2018 or so? And, what color? I see there is Silver, Aluminum Silver, or Silver Ice?... Just love the the look of yours.
@@ClassicRides Thanks! It's Gorgeous and your sense of aesthetics, photography skills along with perfect music edits really captures your countryside journeys Just breathtaking. Hi John, I’ve replaced the springs with TEC ones with preload adjusters on top, then I took the rubber gaiters off and replaced them with fork protectors, so they look a little different from stock.
Ok thanks, I have just bought a 2nd hand Bud Ekins T120 and looking at the you tube vids everyone recommends replacing the shockers & springs, have you noticed a difference?
Yes I’d recommend it along with changing the stock tyres if they’ve not been changed already. On decent shocks and tyres it feels like a different bike, very planted and confidence inspiring.
Lovely vid as always! A mundane question, if I may... Do you ever get any hassle over your black/silver plate? And where did you get it?... It's soooo painful when one spends a lot of time and effort getting a bike looking just how you love it (and yours looks great) only to have an enormous slab of dayglo yellow on the back! Cheers ;^)
Hi David, I haven’t had any trouble with the police yet; but it is a risk as it’s not legal. Although I’ve had plenty of police cars right behind me on the roads so I’m not too worried. I think if you couple the plate with other things like riding badly or making the plate way too small then you might attract a bit more attention. Also I think the type of bike matters, the black & white looks appropriate for my bike, but I think if it were on a GS then it might be different. Also, I carry a standard plate with me so if I do get stopped I can switch it over there and then and hopefully avoid a fine.
Well I saw one guy get told he would have to pay for bike recovery, the policeman was being ‘by the book’ and insisted he couldn’t ride his bike on a highway as he technically didn’t have a numberplate on his bike. Bit extreme I thought but not a problem if you carry a proper plate with you.
Hi, I changed the suspension to TEC springs with preload adjusters on the front and Hagon Shrouded shocks on the rear. Both were a big improvement over the originals.
It’s a 2018 model. It’s a little snatchy at low speed, I added a booster plug like everyone suggests but for me, it didn’t improve it much. You do learn to live with it though, I don’t really notice it now (my clutch control must have gotten better!)
Thanks, I did too. I just found that because of the upsweep, they were jetting hot exhaust fumes straight into my panniers where I keep my camera gear, so not ideal really. I do like them though, just a practical issue specific to me really.
