So beautifull place! I hope I will have chance to go there, it is a bit far from where I live in Annecy, but landscape is so great that is is as if all there shows you where you are from. Great video, thanks so much for it!
I toured the lake district many years ago on a Yamaha Fazer, very fortunately in glorious sunshine. The lakes, passes, and stunning scenery are best enjoyed on a motorcycle. I will have to revisit on my Bonneville, now that you have reminded me how beautiful that part of Cumbria is.
Hey Matt! Saw this clip on IG & had to pop over. The drone footage is amazing, like I mentioned on IG, very cinematic. Awesome editing job, too. Thanks for sharing. Big thumbs up 👍😁
Superb vid , did the three passes of kirkstone ,wrynose and hardknott pre covid with my partner on her Daytona955i , great reminder of good times ,thanks
hello mat, another great video and walk...thanks for those minutes of excellent images and sounds!!! at least they give me...peace!!! good weekend to you and your whole community, enjoy it a lot. until next time...hugs
This is without doubt the best ride footage across the infamous HKP… incredible …It could not of been better had a 20 person film support crew been with Matt … Made even better by the fact that he rode it on T120 … and got twin sound affects and even clicking on the side stand From one ‘Bonnie’ owner and ‘Lover’ to another …👍 fantastic and thanks for this..🎖🎖🎖 Superb ✅

It's such a pure joy to watch your videos Matt, your editing is truly awesome, well done and thanks for sharing!! 👍👍 PS is it a tool roll you have next to your left side bag and how did you attach it pls?
Hey Nelio, sorry I missed your question in the comment. Yes it's a tool roll, they'll be on the website soon as I'm just testing them out (making sure they work well enough!). It attaches like most tool rolls, the two straps that are used to close the roll, they can be looped around a bar on the bike. In this video I've got them looped around the down tube of the bike frame, seems like a good place for it and doesn't get in the way of anything.
I thought that sheep was going to have you at one point! Wonderful filming as usual Matt, so glad the weather is improving for epic scenery. I noticed you've changed your number plate, did you get a tap on the shoulder from the local bobby?
I thought it was going to charge too 😁. Our local police have campaigns at the start of riding season to actively target bikes for things like illegal plates, so I’m just making sure I don’t have a day of filming ruined for the sake of a numberplate. Really hate the yellow though 😑
Another great video - thanks Matt. Can I ask what tyres you have fitted and whether you rate them? I'm not a huge fan of the Pirelli Phantoms that came on my T120.
They’re Pirelli MT60RS and they’re brilliant in every way, apart from they don’t seem to last very long. I’m getting about 3-3.5k miles on the rear and about 7k miles on the front, so I think the next set will have to be something with a bit longevity. Totally agree the Phantoms are worse than rubbish in my opinion.
Lovely video. Reminds me of the time I rode my bicycle from the village of Vesuvius, Virginia, to the Blue Ridge Parkway: 3 miles, 13% grade or steeper. But climbing this road on a motorcycle takes some skill too. Do you know how long & how steep the climb is?
It’s a 30% incline so you’ll need some strong legs to get up it, but people do it on a bicycle all the time. Not sure of the millage up and down, but I image it can’t be very long, it’s just rather steep and bendy 😁
@@ClassicRides 30% is extremely steep! At that grade it won't take long to get to the top. I'd love to ride up it some day (on a motorcycle, so much easier!).
Thanks! gotta get me one of those .. sorry to keep bothering you about the jacket - but for reference what size do you use ? It looks great with the ability to have both a sweater and thin jacket underneath.@@ClassicRides
I used to go camping near the Hardknott in Eskdale Green at Fisherground campsite but never took my bike over it as I have seen the idiot car drivers trying it ,though I have done the Wrynose a good few times and I am addicted to the Bealach-Na-Ba up at Applecross which is great fun on a heavily laden Harley with 18 inch ape-hangers.... I get funny looks from the race-rep guys when I overtake them on that pass ! Was sitting outside the King George IV pub in Eskdale one day having a pint and watching the bikes coming past when one pulled up in the car park at the front. This young Lass of about 18 got off and went in the pub asking me to watch her bike. When she came back out she told me that she was part of a group of eight riders who were all 'doing the pass' and she left them behind ! She was riding a smaller bike still showing 'L' plates and was so enthused about riding the pass east-to-west (the hard way because of that one 'rise' of about 1 in 3 ) that she wanted to go back the otherway. But when her friends showed up - all guys on race-reps - they wouldn't hear of it and she told them she would see them later back at their campsite ! - great looking girl as well.
Great story, thanks for sharing it. To be fair I’m not sure I’d want to do Hardknott on a sports bike either, ergonomically it might not be the best mix 😁
Great video man! I'm trying a similar approach on my (very small and new) channel but it's far below your quality. I'll be happy if I could achieve only 50% of this awesome work. Thanks for the inspiration ✌
Hi Terry, yes I always do, the jacket in the video is actually AAA rated, the jeans AA I think. I love biking but I’m not looking to get hurt doing it 😁
@@tedge19 in this video I’ve got Merlin Chilton jeans on, feel and look pretty much like a good pair of Levi’s. The jacket is an Ashley Watson Eversholt Mk2.
I'll say it again Matt, nobody captures the very essence of motorcycling like you do. Just brilliant.
Thanks Andy, glad you liked it!
These roads and the landscape are breathtaking. I hope I can ride them one day. Thanks for sharing!
I hope you ride them one day too 🙂
This clip is good for the spirit, even if I don't ride any more. Thanks young man for putting it up.
Well thank you for calling me “young man”, that lifted my spirit a bit 🙂

This is spectacular! The light and colour is amazing. Thank you so for making my afternoon feel special 😍😍😍

Wonderful piece of work and how the Bonnie delivered going through the pass.

The two main locations in the video are Sherwood Forest and Bolsover Castle.

Lovely film thanks. Unfortunately the only thing the camera cant do is show how steep it really is in places.
You’re right there Nick, it really doesn’t do it justice!
Don't know if it's just the camera but that road looks pretty harsh and not perticularly smooth, looks very rut strewn and uncomfortable ride 😬
It’s not the camera, that road would be hard to ride if was smooth and well maintained. But it’s not 😂
