Great video, here is a tip for the people that don't like the eggy flavor of some chaffles, add a 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar for every 2 eggs(or less) if you use more than 4 eggs( large batch) 1 teaspoon is enough to counteract the sulfur and the taste will be much better, you won't taste the vinegar either, enjoy.
So glad you invited us to rewatch older vids....went down the chaffle rabbit hole and man!!! Ty Steve!!! Hope you and the family are having a great time! Can't wait to hear about your trip!
Hopefully Steve isn't penalized by the yt algorithm ! So far I've been inspired to try all manner of chaffles and ordered black cocoa and a 2nd Dash mini. @@KetoInTheMidst
We eat these in so many forms! If you mix some bagel seasoning to the basic recipe using colbyjack as the cheese, cook it crispy, spread it with whipped cream cheese and top that with more bagel seasoning and toasted sesame seeds, it's amazing!! We also cook blueberries, butter, pinch of sea salt and some erithrytol sweetener to taste in a small saucepan and top chaffles with it...oh man! You can also crumble cooked breakfast sausage into a basic chaffle mixture and cook it like normal, then serve that with SF maple syrup...wow! We use chaffles for sandwich "bread," especially Reubens. They make great openfaced melts in the oven, and freeze well for quick oven toasting later. If you make a chocolate mug cake chaffle and put plenty of cocoa and SF sweetener, you can freeze those and serve them straight from the freezer for a more biscotti texture that's great served with a cup of coffee.
So much of what you listed is stuff I've already filmed (but not yet edited and uploaded) or is on my "to do" list. You are correct, the variety of delicious stuff you can do with chaffles is amazing. Thanks for the comment!
You are right, the chaffle inventor deserves a big hand. I sometimes add fresh herbs for a savory chaffle, sometimes cocoa and cream for an oreo one. My Walmart didn't have the mini so I bought a regular-sized one. I can cut them in quarters, two quarters makes a good burger bun. I can fold it like a taco and fill. The quarters make nice replacements for crackers or soup accompaniments. Spread with peanut butter or cream cheese - awesome!
I started keto in late 2019. I think this was the first Serious Keto video to pop up in my suggested videos. I instantly became a fan of Steve. His scientific approach to experimenting, his pragmatic approach and his humor make doing keto a much more enjoyable experience. Looking back at old videos helps remind you of basic things that you forget over time. Thanks Steve!
I use the basic recipe with cheddar or asiago for sandwiches. I added Italian seasonings and a tbls. of almond flour for pizza crusts that I topped with Rao's and pepperoni. I have some whole foods organic blueberry powder that I added with a little stevia for blueberry chaffles and I made some with organic cocoa powder, a little stevia and a few Lily's chocolate chips......Mmmmmm. I'm just now seeing your comment (Nov. 15, 2020)---sounds really good, and I have the ingredients, so do believe I'll make them tomorrow. Thank you for the simple recipe!
Update (Nov. 22, 2020); I tried the chaffles this way this past Friday---and while I'm a huge fan of cream cheese, and of eggs, and of cinnamon, I won't be making chaffles this way again. I don't know what went wrong, but what came out was far too soft to be called a chaffle, and it didn't taste good at all. I have an absolutely excellent waffle maker that I always use for chaffles, and they're usually perfect, so i know it isn't the appliance. I guess my 60 years of cooking experience failed me this time around 😖
Thanks for doing this video. I'd been avoiding all things chaffle because the videos on this topic are WAY too long. You answered every one of my questions while also demo-ing 6 recipes in 10-ish minutes. Perfect.
I'm trying to keep my videos short. Going forward, I'm going to shoot for 6-8 minutes. I also don't have the attention span for longer videos, but I'll totally binge on shorter ones.
I've received loads of comments from folks with recipes, recommendations, and requests to try other experiments. I"ll do another video in the next week or two highlighting the best recipes as well as testing some of the more intriguing suggestions that have been made. Thanks everyone for all of your feedback!😃
Try using 1/3 cup of mozzarella and about 1 1/2 tbsp of ricotta cheese...it makes a splendid batter and my Chaffle came out as soft as white bread or like a potato bread/bun! I had a ground chicken burger with low carb bbq sauce mixed in and caramelized onions 😋🤤🤤😁
Serious Keto hey! I was wondering if you were referring to my recipe in your post? I put the recipe on that post for you. I heard about another person who made it with ricotta too. Mine does include the egg, I just swapped out a little mozzarella for the ricotta for a creamier batter.
Got a waffle maker today, tried the basic, LOVE IT!!! It's a game changer. Tried so many keto breads, nothing ever tasted right, these are perfect, thanks for sharing.
I say over and over again that the chaffle is a total sandbox that you can play around in. If you screw something up, no big loss. But there are really limitless options with it. I'll be exploring those options regularly in my videos.
Thank you Steve! Because of you I now own 2 Dash chaffle makers and I'm really looking forward to making these. I've got hypothyroidism and right now I'm in the process of healing my gut with the GAPS diet, and then I've got a total change in diet/lifestyle ahead of me. I know the chaffle will be part of that new diet and lifestyle. Thanks again for your video, you really do a fantastic job; very well done! Informative, entertaining and fun to watch!
I had my first chaffles the last two days. My first one was a chocolate chaffle. Yum!!! What was do great was that, although it was chocolate, it was also super healthy. Eggs, just a tsp of almond flour, some cream cheese, some cocoa, a bit of sweetener, a pinch each of xanthan gum and baking powder. After cooking put some SF raspberry jam on it and topped with SF whipped cream. Fantastic.
Been doing keto/low carb for about 2 years, so I'm late to the chaffel game. I have seen your chaffel videos many months ago, but since I already had a low carb bread substitute I didn't pay too much attention to chaffels. Fast forward to last month, my Mom bought me some Birch Benders keto waffles which I made bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches with. So instead of stocking up on (probably pricey) BB waffles I remembered your chaffel videos and hit up YT to explore what is a chaffel. Long story short, I ordered a Dash Multi Mini (4 chaffels at a time) last week and just finished 2 batches of chaffels to have on hand. The possibilities are endless. Your suggestion of a Nobel prize to the originator of the chaffel is spot on. Thanks for the heads up!
I have a regular waffle maker. I use it mostly because I have a big family and I double the recipe. Whatever is left over (which is rarely) gets popped in the refrigerator till later. This is a game changer, especially if you miss breads. We use sharp cheddar for sandwiches, and have used this for pizza bases too. Experiment, its a winner.
What I love about chaffles is that it is so open for experimentation. If you screw up, it's not a big loss, but when you come up with something new, it's always a winner.
Thanks so much for this video, and your recipes! I use a "regular-sized" waffle maker to maximize time. I can make four squares (which makes two sandwiches) at once. I use four large eggs, two cups of cheese and a couple spoonsful of the Quest protein powder. Turned out great! My appreciation for the time you took to make this for us!
I just received my Dash waffle maker from Amazon two hours ago. I just made five chaffles using the basic recipe with the addition of nutritional yeast, turmeric, Everything But The Bagel seasoning, and a tablespoon of almond flour. Delicious. I look forward to using your recipes this week.
Thank you for sharing the base recipe and all variations with your critique. I really appreciate your doing this and all your other recipes. I made the base recipe this morning for breakfast, adding a sprinkle of shredded cheddar top and bottom of the batter while in the waffle maker, and onion powder, garlic powder, bacon bits. Yum! I read you said this was your first big video. I think you've done great from the beginning, Steve! I love all your videos. You have a natural gift for sharing, teaching and connecting. Now to go order cinnamon toast crunch protein power. :)
Thank you for making & giving your opinion on six different chaffles in one video👍 I made the basic chaffle, but I added trader Joe's everything but bagel seasoning...perfect sandwich chaffle😃
I'm here just for that crisp. Ok now you got me with that cinnamon crunch thingy. I've never made a chaffle so I'm trusting your reviews with my first attempt. You've never steered me wrong.
I made this tonight and oh dang was it really good! Dude, your chaffles have opened up my whole world! I plan on making a Mexican chaffle by just changing the cheese to Mexican cheese and put some taco beef, sour cream, lettuce and whatever on top! Oh that should be awesome!
I made some using cheddar cheese with a little onion and garlic powder. Cheese on the bottom of the waffle maker, then the egg, 1tbl. Almond flour and cheese mixture and a little more cheese on top. It was extra crispy and crunchy and so good. You're so right about chaffles being a game changer!
It really makes keto remarkably easy. I tried Atkins about 20 years ago, and back then we didn't have all of these alternative flours, sweeteners or chaffles. Low carb is far more sustainable when we can make all of these variations on the chaffle that simulate bread, waffles, pizza, cake, etc.
Hey Steve!I've always missed chocolate chip pancakes so I tried out your whey protein idea and used one tablespoon of chocolate flavored Isopure and also added a tablespoon of peanut butter and after it was done I drizzled some sugar free syrup and few sprinkles of Lily's semi-sweet chocolate chips on top and it was so good that I feel like I had a cheat meal this morning. Thanks for the inspiration!
I am so addicted to them! I just made a peanut butter and jelly Chaffle tonight and my hubby loved it (he was seriously missing PB&J sandwiches). I made BLT with avocado last night! Chocolate chip chaffles are really delicious too with some sugarfree syrup or whipped cream on top. If I’m making savory ones, I usually add a couple of tablespoons of pork Panko. I feel like it gives it a better texture. I’m going to try some of the things you added though next time especially the psyllium husk. I’m looking forward to seeing more videos from you and what creations you come up with. 😉
I was very pleasantly stunned today to "discover" that a basic chaffle made with just the egg and mozzarella cheese was so good! I'd been making them from a Pinterest recipe that called for a Tablespoon of almond flour to be added to the egg and cheese; I found it to be less than appealing, and I really considered just not making anymore chaffles, but then I watched your video on the five chaffles you made, including the basic one, the first one you'd ever eaten. Yeah..."game changer," indeed! I made the first one with just half a cup of mozz, and it was okay---but being still hungry, and supper time a long way off, I decided to make a second one, but this time with a full cup of mozz and the one egg. WOW!!! WOW, WOW, WOW!!! The additional cheese made for a crispy, but very light, chaffle that I can easily see being the basis for a pizza I came up with a couple decades ago, and I can hardly wait to try it.
Excellent video. I’ve wanted to try making chaffles and was curious what the taste and texture was like. Most other videos skim over these sort of details. Good job!
2 years later... just watched this.. have been making chaffles for a couple of weeks now... since I have a mexican food background being raised in NM... I just use the basic recipe, and the almond flour and baking power.. then finely chopped poblano pepper and a red bell pepper (about a T. altogether).. Oh my goodness, it gives me a feeling of having mexican cornbread.. And to the cinnamon crunch one you made I add chopped pecans and a few chopped dried cranberries.. Great with whipped cream on top and a sprinkle of cinnamon with a sweentener mixture...
Thanks for the demo. We got our chafflemaker yesterday. We had some exercise with tips from a friend. Great! Today I made my first original chaffle. For the mixture I used 1 egg, 1 tablespoon almond flour, 1/2 tablespoon mozarella, 1/2 tablespoon of creamcheese, 2 tablespoons ground broccolirice, pepper, salt and a dash oregano. I first sprinkled some mozzarella in de chafflemaker, on top a big spoonful of the mixture, on top again some mozarella. It was so crunchy! And the taste.... very good!
The chaffle is really a "playground" to experiment with. If you screw up a recipe, the waste of ingredients is limited. Glad to hear you're having fun.
I love rye bread especially with corn beef or pastrami. So I toasted caraway seeds and ground them. Using the basic chaffle recipe, I added 1tablespoon homemade sour cream, (the best) 1 teaspoon ground caraway seeds and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle on a few whole seeds and WOW. Rye bread for my sandwich.
If you're willing to do a slightly dirty keto (and don't have celiac), I have a video for a really wonderful rye bread chaffle. There's a tiny bit of work up front creating a rye sourdough starter, but once that's going, you'll have a lifetime supply of rye chaffles (assuming you feed the starter once a week). th-cam.com/video/JlIhcrzcuXY/w-d-xo.html
The first one you made add some Italian seasoning when it's done put on pizza sauce low carb then moz cheese and pepperoni and broil best little 🍕 yum yum
I add onion powder and garlic powder. Tastes grade. Also, minced onion with cheddar is good. Add Some mustard to that could be good to. Options are endless. I had a cheddar waffle today with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. So good!
Our garden is kicking out lettuce and tomatoes in full force, plus I make my own bacon, so I'll be following your lead tomorrow night when we have BLTs (mine on a chaffle) for dinner.
Just found your channel not too long ago. And I discovered the chaffle videos even more recently. Bought the mini waffle maker you had linked. ( a little late to the party but at least I showed up lol) Made the basic first chaffle you did just now and IM HOOKED!! 🤣🤣 Thanks for all your hard work. I'll go back to binge watching your channel now. 😄
Hello! I ABSOLUTELY enjoyed your video, the commentary, your critique, etc. Is your Family keto? Ordered the Quest. I made my first chaffle yesterday...died and went to HEAVEN! I named it chocoberry chaffle. Basic recipe with added cocoa powder and cream cheese. Topped with strawberries and homemade whipped cream. Next up savory.
Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately, my family is NOT keto. In fact, my wife especially is a total junk food junkie. As a result, one of my goals (both in the kitchen and in my videos) is to make keto food that non-keto people will love and probably won't even realize that it's keto.
Serious Keto your wife doesn’t realize how lucky she is, having two junk food addicts in the family is a recipe for obesity. Hopefully you can win her over with awesome Keto recipes and your very soothing voice 😉
Hello I just found your channel & I am a junk foodie too...I will be watching for those recipes since my hope is to be on Keto along with my hubby........I would really love to see how you can combine to ease my mind I will do Keto and not hate it haha....thank you
OMG! Next level is correct! My waffle maker is much larger and I doubled the recipe and it oozed out all over, but after five minutes, the cleanup was worth it! I found that I need only a recipe and a half! I put a handful of blueberries on mine with blueberry syrup and it was amazing! Thank you for all your tests! It saves me a ton of money on wasted product!
I think you’re going to do well on TH-cam! Subscribed and can’t wait to hear more from you. Good luck! My DASH is being delivered tomorrow and I can’t wait to try it! 👏 Nice that you mentioned Keto Connect. Great Keto kids, I call them.
I made my first chaffel yesterday. I did the basic and added a little parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning to eat with spaghetti and meatballs, with spaghetti squash noodles. They were awesome! Then this morning I made a leftover one that I toasted and had with butter. Mmm!!! For lunch I made a meatball sandwich with two chaffels. Yep, definite games changer!
We take waffles seriously in our house th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUfphIgghPSpAXNq6OG2WRYsFVqylcqMn and worked our old one through many years of Sunday brunches till it finally gave out on us. Our old one only made two at a time, this one makes four! Nicely sized 1 inch thick which are lovely! Now the kids don't have to wait as long to eat our weekly waffle breakfast and everyone's are hot if we wait and eat all together! Setting 3 seems to work perfect for golden brown. Be sure to pour the batter in the center of each waffle square, not the center of the iron like the novice that posted the scorched waffles photo. About a 1/4 to 1/3 cup of batter in each seemed to work well for us. We tested making just one at a time so we could use all the remaining batter and it made it just as fluffy and golden as when we made 4!
I too was amazed at how delicious the basic Chaffee was. I now have one every second day. Hah first time I used the mini waffle/chaffle maker I put the whole mixture in it. What a mess, but it cleaned up good. Nothing stuck and was an easy wipe down once it cooled. Great little appliance. Have you tried the pizza? Yummy!
I bought the quest protein powder just on the recommendation of this video, and it was worth it. I'm sure I'll use it for shakes too, but this chaffle is just nicely sweet and perfect for breakfast when others are having regular pancakes or waffles. Love your channel and have learned so much from it. Thank you for sharing!
👍👍 to you for this video. Nice to hear your shout out to Matt at KC. Saw a UTuber throwing shade on Matt today. Matt & Megha continuously help people in the keto lifestyle.
I believe in giving credit where credit is due. When I started keto, I binge watched Matt & Megha's videos for about two weeks straight. I hope that I can contribute to the keto community even a fraction of what they have.
I just made my second batch of chaffles today, and they turned out great. I put psyllium husk and baking powder in mine. I also seasoned them with a little garlic salt and a little sea salt. Yesterday, I also put melted butter in them and it was good, but it wasted too much butter because a lot of it dropped out. I also added a dollop of MCT oil, and a dollop of avocado oil to the ones I made today. I made a bigger batch today, so they can last me awhile. I made homemade mayonnaise yesterday, too. So, I can make tuna salad sandwiches for a few days. I ran out of eggs, and might not be able to get any more until the end of the month.
You should tag this one "Watch Me First!". I couldn't tell which was your original video, so watched four others before getting here Lol I know chaffles have been around a while now, but they're new to me! I'm so excited I just dusted off my old waffle iron to go them a go before committing to the little dash. Thank you so much for sharing and your creativity and passion and most especially, your sincerity.
I subscribed to your channel just from this video alone... and added the video to my favourites so I can reference it. Thanks for trying so many versions. I can't wait to rock the Chaffle this week after my Waffle Maker gets here from Amazon. It will be nice to have some sweet/savoury "bun" options on Keto!
I feel like my videos have gotten better since this (tighter editing, no music), so stick around. Hopefully I can continue to provide recipes that you'll like! 😀
A+ on all these, minus the cinnamon toast sucralose powder! I know that stuff is good, but I swore off sucralose months back. Maybe using monk fruit or stevia, but never using sucralose products if I can help it. Love the other ones though! Especially that Mug bread idea, thanks!
Got my first Dash Mini chaffle maker today and tried the base recipe, then tried it with cheddar, onion powder, salt, pepper, and a little parsley. OMG!! SO delicious!! I’m going to get another Dash Mini very soon. You’re right, these ARE a game changer!! Thanks for sharing 😁😋
I loved your summary at the end. Your videos are doing a good job moving the Dash Mini Waffle Maker. My wife bought one. And I just ordered another one.
I'm trying to tighten them up further and provide enough info both verbally and visually. I'm still pretty new to this, so I'm glad you're enjoying what I've done so far. Thanks!
I just love the basic chaffle recipe with 1 egg and 1/2 cup cheese. I grated my cheese finer and i felt it cooked better. I also noticed that i had to cook mine longer than when the light comes on or the top would stick in the waffle iron top.
Saw this tiny waffle maker at goodwill three years ago 99cent started making regular brownies in it keto 4 months 50lbs down now chaffles only great recipes and so many ideas hope u r getting kick back from dash greetings from NC
I’ve never heard of a chaffle and now I desperately want one, or a couple.😂. Your reaction to the first one totally sold me. I’m new to your channel and am thoroughly enjoying your content and you have a great personality and sense of humor to boot! Off to purchase the mini waffle maker.
DAILY chaffles up in this joint.😜 I sprinkle the mozzarella down and pour my mixture of 2 eggs and baking powder on top of it. Butter and Choc Zero Caramel Syrup. HEAVEN. Gonna look into the ingredients in the cinnamon crunch protein now. THANKS, STEEEEVE!😁👍 💃💞
I love making chaffles! My basic recipe makes 4. 1 egg 1 cup shredded cheese ⅛ tsp baking powder Dash of salt and pepper I use a cheddar blend and enjoy with a bowl of chili. I'll use Italian blend cheese and garlic powder for enjoying with zoodles and meatballs. What was a game changer for me was using a mini griddle for a burger bun chaffle. This version didn't tear the roof of my mouth when biting into a burger! I'm considering an Arepa maker so I can make 4 at a time.
Do you mix those into the base, or just make a sandwich? I'm seeing a lot of videos where people throw a bunch of ingredients into the base for things like cheeseburger chaffles, pizza chaffles, etc.
@@SeriousKeto no I don't mix anything except the Swiss cheese and egg..the rest is sandwich.. really press the moisture out of the saurkraut and you might be able to add...but like you..I keep it easy and then build 😀
@@SeriousKeto ... BTW...I don't even add the cheese and egg...I like them crunchy so I do cheese then pour the egg..then add cheese on top... either way is fine
As I said in a reply to someone else, that's what I love about the chaffle -- you can make them so many different ways depending on your desired flavor and texture. I can definitely see the allure of crunchy chaffle. 😋 I've recorded a couple more experiments with the chaffle that have yielded interesting results. I'll be posting those next week and will be curious to hear your opinion. Thanks for the comments!
I make the original chaffle and sprinkle chopped jalapeno before cooking. I make a bunch and freeze them for sandwiches. They reheat very well in a toaster oven.
I use half Mexican cheese blend and half mozzarella with some of the egg white in a carton and a little bit of spices. They make excellent sandwiches with just a fried egg and some Canadian bacon. I'm new to this keto thing.. Chaffles have been very helpful. I agree whoever made these up needs to win the Nobel prize of keto lol. I'm here to learn new ways to chaffle 🤣😊.
@@SeriousKeto I watched several of your videos last night. That's what I was looking for.. I forgot to click playlist doh! I'll find it today thank you.
I will definitely try the bfast chaffle-I’ve stopped making waffles keto style bc they’ve been too heavy (coconut flours and almond flours). I look forward to making this new chaffle! I like the scallion pancake/crêpe, so I’d try making a chaffle with scallions and perhaps garlic as well and sea salt.
Just came across your videos today. The comments are lively! This is the second video I’ve watched and there’s one main reason I’m subscribing...that CRUNCH! I miss the crunch on Keto. First the crackers, now the chaffles! 😋 I truly appreciate your candor! Tfs! 🤗
Super video! I have made chaffles with bacon crumbles, egg and cheddar cheese. Also using egg, mozzarella, swerve brown sugar and apple or pumpkin pie spices. lots of wonderful recipes out there! looking forward to your next chaffle video
Shandele Broyles if you’re doing a low carb diet, those are off the table. I probably have a dozen different non-sugar sweeteners in my pantry and have to find one with the intensity of sugar (without side effects). Doing a comparison and trying to make an ideal blend is on my list of future videos. Until then, I’d say the two I’d go with are stevia and monk fruit.
Duuuuuude, if you aren't in voice overs or radio, you are missing your calling. Love your voice and the video wasn't half bad either, lol. Thanks for doing this. I love the crunch you are getting from these as well.
So you just add all that into the base recipe? Any estimates on the amount you use? Do you top it with anything or use it as your "bread" around some corned beef or pastrami?
Use the basic egg and cheese starter. The Reuben chaffle is the bread for the corned beef and kraut or slaw. I’ve added a sprinkle of lupin or vital wheat protein for body.
I recently purchased a bag of vital wheat protein to experiment with it as a breading (like for a chicken fried steak). I know it can be used to make vegan "meat". Have you discovered any other uses for it besides the chaffle? Oh, and thanks for the Reuben recipe.
@@Antzsarah I misread what you had typed. I thought you said "Textured Vegetable Protein". As for Vital Wheat Gluten, I use it a lot. I plan on doing a video explaining how it works vs xanthan gum in baking.
Thank you for getting right to the point. I don't like it when people talk too much about everything for 10 min and then finally the subject of video. Excellent video.
Thanks for subscribing. I definitely have more on the way. My upcoming videos will include one more chaffle experiment, followed by some product reviews at the end of the week. Next week, I'll have a cracker recipe that is so good, you'll be able to convert your non-keto friends and family.
There's more to come. Next week, I'll be comparing 6 different chaffle recipes that where submitted to me by viewers who claim they "taste just like bread".
Great tip 👍🏻

I say over and over again that the chaffle is a total sandbox that you can play around in. If you screw something up, no big loss. But there are really limitless options with it. I'll be exploring those options regularly in my videos.
First time watching one of your videos. Very thorough and no fluff. Good job!
Except for having to wait for him to plate it, chew it and swallow it! lol
Felecia Reedus yes, really enjoyed it😁👍
His facial expressions were worth it!
Fantastic.
Sounds great
Been doing keto/low carb for about 2 years, so I'm late to the chaffel game.
Welcome to the wonderful world of chaffles. 😀
Omg. I was not prepared for how amazing these would be with just that protein powder added.
This was by far the best Chaffle video I’ve seen. Thank you!
Ooooo! That Mexican chaffle idea sounds delish!!
Awesome!
Before the end of the month, I'm going to get back into some keto comparison videos. I hope you enjoy them.
Loved this video on different ways to make Chaffles! Thank you
You are an easy watch. Straight to the point and funny too.
That expression on the Quest Cinnamon one was priceless! Thank you for an authentic review of these.
went to Amazon and bought it STAT...game changer! Kudos
Excellent video. I’ve wanted to try making chaffles and was curious what the taste and texture was like. Most other videos skim over these sort of details. Good job!
Thanks! I’ve seen so many videos about adding stuff to the chaffle, whereas my mission is to see how you can manipulate the base chaffle.
I've also used a cookie sheet baked 400 for around 10 or more min need to watch them .
Serious Keto I’ll look into it and give it a try for sure. Thanks 😊
The first one you made add some Italian seasoning when it's done put on pizza sauce low carb then moz cheese and pepperoni and broil best little 🍕 yum yum
I've done a couple of pizza chaffle videos. 😉
I add onion powder and garlic powder. Tastes grade. Also, minced onion with cheddar is good. Add Some mustard to that could be good to. Options are endless. I had a cheddar waffle today with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. So good!
Mimi, that sounds soooooo delicious, I can't wait to try! Yum.
Our garden is kicking out lettuce and tomatoes in full force, plus I make my own bacon, so I'll be following your lead tomorrow night when we have BLTs (mine on a chaffle) for dinner.
These videos are fabulous! I actually think I can make these! Lol. Thanks!!! 🎉
Awesome!
I have to say that I really appreciate that you took the time to make this video short and to the point.
Hello I just found your channel & I am a junk foodie too...I will be watching for those recipes since my hope is to be on Keto along with my hubby........I would really love to see how you can combine to ease my mind I will do Keto and not hate it haha....thank you
Rhonda!! GREAT recipe!!
@Rhonda Baldwin, what amounts do you put in for the cream cheese and cocoa powder? Do you make any other changes? This sounds AMAZING!
Good job on this video! Thanks for all the ideas. I too like KC Matt and Megha!
I just used egg white because I don’t like the yolk and it works great and so tasty. Thank you for sharing this video
"game changer" is a term I find often used to describe chaffles. 🙂
@@SeriousKeto and they are so simple to make. And cheap. That's what is amazing!
Thanks for getting straight to the point. I just got my mini waffle maker and this was a perfect intro to chaffles.
Outstanding! Welcome to the chaffle club. 🙂
1:12 The Basic
7:10 Cinnamon Toast Crunch Protein Waffel for the win.
Yummy!
THANK YOU for doing this comparison! You saved me a bunch of time in my own experiment series!
Glad you like it. 😊
Lovvvve Matt and Megha
THANK YOU for not using music anymore. 😆 I do love your videos though, great job!
Awesome 👍🏻
Yummy! A tuna sandwich! 😊
You should tag this one "Watch Me First!". I couldn't tell which was your original video, so watched four others before getting here
Lol I know chaffles have been around a while now, but they're new to me! I'm so excited I just dusted off my old waffle iron to go them a go before committing to the little dash. Thank you so much for sharing and your creativity and passion and most especially, your sincerity.
I used the regular one for sandwiches. Trick is you have to let cool one minute on rack.
Big thumbs up for the Quest Cinnamon Crunch chaffle.
I was pretty amazed that just a tablespoon of that Quest powder could make such a difference.
Great video. I fast until lunch time. It's 7:55 a.m. and I'm completely full just watching you eat all those. Hahaha
Great video! Thank you for being so thorough! Going to have to try the cinnamon toast chaffle!
I agree Jodie! I'm ordering my Quest Cinnamon Crunch right now😊
Was just planning to buy and discovered it contains carageenan. Seriously, why?!? 😢 Not buying a known inflammatory.
I loved your summary at the end. Your videos are doing a good job moving the Dash Mini Waffle Maker. My wife bought one. And I just ordered another one.
Superb video! Thank you for making it so concise yet informative!
I'm trying to tighten them up further and provide enough info both verbally and visually. I'm still pretty new to this, so I'm glad you're enjoying what I've done so far. Thanks!
I just bought a mini waffle gonna try the first recipe right now hahaha I love seeing your reaction to things you are so genuine 😄 xx
Hey there fellow Wisconsinite!! This video was entertaining and fun to watch. Thank you! I just ordered my Dash.
lorridzak thank you, fellow cheesehead 😀
A total keto newbie, watching for ideas - I didn't wait for the video to end, made my first chaffles & oh wow - I like cinnamon chaffles. Thank you 👏
Wonderful!
I just love the basic chaffle recipe with 1 egg and 1/2 cup cheese. I grated my cheese finer and i felt it cooked better. I also noticed that i had to cook mine longer than when the light comes on or the top would stick in the waffle iron top.
Chaffles are stellar! Thanks for sharing Steve.
Are you a news caster or radio personality? If not you seriously have that really cool voice for it.
That's very kind of you to say. I spent a number of years as a corporate trainer, so maybe that's it? 😉
OMG I thought the same thing
As someone who has been in “the business” for two decades, you definitely have a “broadcast voice.”
@@figmo397 Thank you for the kind words. Who knows, maybe once I have this channel humming along, I'll start a podcast.
My first thought 😆
Thanks for doing all the work on these videos!🥳
Our best chaffle? Diced ham, diced onions, diced peppers, eggs and cheese. It’s a omelette chaffle. DELISH
Saw this tiny waffle maker at goodwill three years ago 99cent started making regular brownies in it keto 4 months 50lbs down now chaffles only great recipes and so many ideas hope u r getting kick back from dash greetings from NC
I wish they were giving me a little something. 😄
Thanks for your time!! Definitely going to try my hand at a few of these!!
I appreciate all of your videos!
Glad you like them!
As I was watching this video I went ahead and ordered waffle maker, can’t wait to munch on these new recipes 😋
I’ve never heard of a chaffle and now I desperately want one, or a couple.😂. Your reaction to the first one totally sold me. I’m new to your channel and am thoroughly enjoying your content and you have a great personality and sense of humor to boot! Off to purchase the mini waffle maker.
Thank you. This was my first chaffle video and I’d like to think they got better as I went along.
@@SeriousKeto They did.
DAILY chaffles up in this joint.😜
I sprinkle the mozzarella down and pour my mixture of 2 eggs and baking powder on top of it.
Butter and Choc Zero Caramel Syrup.
HEAVEN.
Gonna look into the ingredients in the cinnamon crunch protein now.
THANKS, STEEEEVE!😁👍
💃💞
Thank you. That was terrific. We just bought a mini waffle maker yesterday. Have made two chaffles so far.
Thank you, I also only started experimenting with Chaffles. I love it and thank you for a very interesting video. Yeah, cut the music hahaha
I only have music on my first handful of videos. 😉
I love making chaffles!
My basic recipe makes 4.
1 egg
1 cup shredded cheese
⅛ tsp baking powder
Dash of salt and pepper
I use a cheddar blend and enjoy with a bowl of chili.
Ruben sandwich... Swiss, pastrami, mustard and saurkraut...so yummy
Crafty Stash I do the same with addition of caraway seeds in the mix.
I make the original chaffle and sprinkle chopped jalapeno before cooking. I make a bunch and freeze them for sandwiches. They reheat very well in a toaster oven.
I would imagine that substituting pepper jack in for the mozzarella and then adding the chopped jalepeno would really be something special. 😋
I have an entire chaffle playlist. 🙂
@@SeriousKeto I watched several of your videos last night. That's what I was looking for.. I forgot to click playlist doh! I'll find it today thank you.
This was a great video. I just bought a mini waffle maker. I can’t wait to try it!
Tfs! 🤗
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it.
I had a spicy cheddar that I did with the egg and a bit of salt. Pretty good stuff.
Super video! I have made chaffles with bacon crumbles, egg and cheddar cheese. Also using egg, mozzarella, swerve brown sugar and apple or pumpkin pie spices. lots of wonderful recipes out there! looking forward to your next chaffle video
Oooh...I had not thought of those flavors! YASSS, honey!!❤💛💜
You inspired me! I just purchased a tiny waffle maker. I will stick with the basic recipe as I like savory. Mini pizzas here I come!
I add Maple flavoring, a few pecans, and some Splenda. ❤️
Yum
Try monkfruit sweetener with cocoa and a 1/2 tsp sour cream added to the basic recipe.
The sour cream sounds like a great addition. I'll definitely be trying that.
Serious Keto what is your thoughts on sweeteners?? I am confused? I am using coconut sugar and raw honey but would like something with no calories??
Shandele Broyles if you’re doing a low carb diet, those are off the table. I probably have a dozen different non-sugar sweeteners in my pantry and have to find one with the intensity of sugar (without side effects). Doing a comparison and trying to make an ideal blend is on my list of future videos. Until then, I’d say the two I’d go with are stevia and monk fruit.
@@LoveDogs___3 Why are you confused? Raw honey and coconut sugar are sugar, and you won't be in ketosis until you stop eating them 😂!
Yes!
Duuuuuude, if you aren't in voice overs or radio, you are missing your calling. Love your voice and the video wasn't half bad either, lol. Thanks for doing this. I love the crunch you are getting from these as well.
Thank you for the compliment. I will continue to use my voice in all of my videos (and less chewing). 😉
Pork rind dust, mustard, Swiss or mozzarella and caraway seeds. Reuben Chaffle.
I am building my Keto pantry. I got vital wheat gluten for some recipes I have gathered.
Thanks, I do my best not to be annoying. 😉
New to your channel. I really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to seeing more. Have a good day!!
Thanks for subscribing. I definitely have more on the way. My upcoming videos will include one more chaffle experiment, followed by some product reviews at the end of the week. Next week, I'll have a cracker recipe that is so good, you'll be able to convert your non-keto friends and family.
@@SeriousKeto Can't wait for that!
I just ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch ! Thanks for the recipe!
I’m definitely trying the cinnamon toast one. Thanks for sharing😃
I gotta give you props on trying so many different methods.. you did the hard work for us.. Thanks!!
There's more to come. Next week, I'll be comparing 6 different chaffle recipes that where submitted to me by viewers who claim they "taste just like bread".
