Banished was created by only 1 person - from the beginning to the end, this however has a whole team behind it :) But he did start alone, yes.
And this only guy make a better game than paradox can be make with a big army of devs
1 guy didn't make it one guy hired other people to help him make it, similar to one guy designed my house doesn't mean one guy built it.
A game where you could live out a life of a medieval lord because you have to escape the reality that we're heading into an era of future feudalism. We already have Lords in our time.

Part-time gig he's been working on for 7 years. Hopefully he can go work full time. Dude, there's 2 million pre-orders. Even at 30$ the game has 60 million in pre-orders. 30% will go to Steam so that's 42 million left. Even IF Hooded horse gets a cut of that, Slavic magic will for sure end up with at least 20 million from this. Which is super cool if he's not lazy and continues to add on content.

24:55 I've seen buildings here in England built like that. There's a nearby town with a sidewalk that is obstructed by a building corner that sticks out so close to the road that you have to wait for cars to pass before you can get around the building corner.
Yeah there's quite a few villages like that near where I live. The houses get so close to the road that you can't see around the corner until you're around it.

The game has one small issue, when your population reaches over 200, the A.I starts to get stuck on storehouses, tavern's etc.
Imagine what this game will be like in 5 years lol big studios have really been put to shame by this guy

I have been waiting for this game for all 7 years it's been in development, and it didn't disappoint.
you know what would be so cool? take control of a soldier or you as the lord join the battle and fight with your troops! Archer skills or Sword fight!

The way the developer managed to allow users to build such realistic and organic looking cities is insane.
It's truly a work of art.
Dev should partnership with Warhorse studio to make a collab game with Manor Lords city builder + first person combat like Kingdom Come Deliverance.

Look at this stuff ! THIS STUFF ! There are wonderful settlements and castles there that the tales been saying about ! Even the damn rooftiles with water rolling on them ! 30:27 - that's how Medieval cities were built, nobody wasted land on leaving wide streets or plazas. That's why fires and plagues were so devastating.
No it isn't. They built close to the castle for self preservation. Many cities were within the castle walls. (Many of which date back to Roman times so not medieval at all)There was planty of land but most of it unprotected and dangerous. They weren't built that way they became that way naturaly. Take smaller places like Lancaster. Plenty of room because by the time of medieval Britain the roman walls had mostly disappeared.
Washington USA, got this on wish list and glad the dev was able to bring their passion project to reality. I expect to lose hundreds of hours. Thanks, Raptor, for giving us these updates.
One great thing about Mathew Miller is his demeanor and he is not childish like the other spokeswoman. He is fast and to the point.
Your dedication to this game is admirable. It is a very worthy game, so that makes it easier. I’ve counted two restarts after many hours of game play.. I can’t wait for out to get released.. less than a week away now…

Most common vilage\town design in middel ages was , Market and a church in the centre and rest of buildings around, and Lord's manor\fort\castle on strategic place ( sorrounded by water, on a hill... and so on)

i bought the game and im so obsessed, u definitely need to turn day and night cycles, the way the light hits the buildings and the sky that changes colors. THE MUSIC, its just all so very good its basically a must have. the way your village develops over time and according to its needs is also a real eye opener of why cities and such are the built the way they are. economy is also fun, import, export etc.... best game city builder ive played. imagine minecraft was like this 🤯

One thing that they need to add is Roman shop style houses were the shop is on the first floor and the living space on the secon floor

What on earth makes you think that's a roman style? Most Roman houses were single floor.

Insulae were predominantly city buildings. Tenements. Some had shops but generally they were owned by welthy romans who let them out.
They were restricted in height by Augustus and even more restricted after the great fire of Rome under Nero.
People outside of Rome lived in Domus which were single storey houses.

Really looking forward to this game, played farthest frontier which I enjoyed. This is a amazing achievement from one developer, ok he would have had help when needed but this game looks amazing. Kingdom come deliverance is a great game, the combat takes abit to get used to which is alot of people's complaints which is why you either like the game or you don't. But the story is epic, such a great story and characters. The world itself seems alive with say shops closing and people going to bed etc. I would highly recommend it before playing the second one as the story carries on from the first
