    The five pointed star is also the symbol of the Wuxing philosophy of China, where it personified the changing of the seasons, transitioning from one form to another and the balance of the human anatomy. So yet another instance where the pentagram was a good omen and symbol. Probably unrelated to the practices of Middle Eastern lands and the Western European countries but yet another example of how a symbol took up a magical nature.

    How did you fail to mention the reason the pentagram is associated with Venus is because of the orbit of the planet in relationship to our planet. All metaphysical principles usually come from astrology/astronomy.
    Also, the duality of its symbolism, the point upwards represents masculinity, the point downwards represents femininity.
    As above, so below.

      @@kimeraclan3135 The mythological deities come after the cosmological formations, not the other way around. Venus, Inana, Isthar, Aphrodite, Diana all represent the same thing, Femininity. Women come from Venus and Man from Mars... sounds familiar, uh? If you think of planets as giant rocks it doesn't make sense, but we know the planet atmosphere has a specific resonance, so do other celestial bodies, if they all vibrate at different frequencies they have different effects in relation to other bodies, stars, and galaxies... n_n is always funny how people gravitate towards the narrative but never learn why things represent what they do.

      @@Nairod2 While I do agree to the latter portion of your comment, regarding significance and cultural context of myth and deity, I should rectify my earlier words. When I say Ishtar inspired Venus I literally meant that the cult and functionality of the beliefs of Roman religion were inspired from earlier Middle Eastern culture and spirituality. Appropriation and assimilation of culture is how individual cultures have been created. But I must agree that some concepts are universal, such as the link between femininity, conflict and sacrifice.

      @@kimeraclan3135 only if you agree that the educational institutions of today hold an accurate version of historical evens on this planet. Otherwise, the mathematical principles that rule, planets, starts and constellations and also rule every other aspect of this realm came first, and they are the basis of the mythos later adopted to inherit said knowledge through a narrative.
      That is why the mythos repeat on isolated cultures through the world. Because they were all talking about the same stars and planets, but the mythos is different to mold to the surroundings of that specific culture.
      The principles of esoterism are there to understand the underlying principles of the mythos that describe the world. Regardless of the culture they are being extracted from... the cult of Venus is the worship of femininity regardless if you call the deity, Ishtar, SIn, Inanana, Baphomet... and given the distance between cultures and the separation between aparitions in timelines.
      We know different cultures developed the same concept isolated from each other... because they were talking about the same fundamentals, regardless if the narrative used to describe them is different. Again Venus as an influence in the planet was noticed first, it being named Ishtar, Inana, sin or Venus does not modify the effect that planet has on our own, what changes is the mythos behind the explanation given by the different in cultures.
      As above so Below, the rules that rule the planets rule man. Planet came first, man came second. You need to stop having an anthropocentric perspective of reality.

    But that's the rub, the connotation is set in stone. As an avid history buff AND a filmmaker, I understand the frustration to shoehorning in the ol' "Satanic" iconography and ouija boards, but it's not due to a lack of understanding, its just so engrained in the visual medium, a shorthand for evil entities and the sort, thus it feels almost weird when such aspects aren't present. This especially is the case with specific locations and sound FX in film, there's such a strong link in how audiences perceive these elements that the film loses that immediate link because general audiences are so conditioned to react a specific way. When I was an editor, I'd go for realism, layering audio cues up on audio cues, and it didn't have the same effect as those traditional cues. It's a fascinating bit of psychology.

    • @ETHANR26
      @ETHANR26 ปีที่แล้ว

      this is a good point, but it's also silly to not understand that good art CREATES connotation. needing to use 'traditional' sounds means your art is not good enough on its own, no?

    • @Zombie_Trooper
      @Zombie_Trooper ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ethan Ross Sure, but you're discounting the fact that, like all art, there's AESTHETIC CRITERIA. Intuitive process and pure creation have their role, I mean, that's art for ya, but you're effectively saying there's no rules or existing psychology in visual storytelling. Psychological underpinnings won't magically change just because we go avant-garde. There's still tried and true methods and ways to communicate with the audience. These underpinnings extend beyond art. That's a big part of the puzzle, curbing an audience whilst also not pushing them away and getting the desired emotion and effects.
      Of course, I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's requires a changing perception on religious, cultural, and social levels as well as filmic.

They are doing it through mainstream media such as these videos and through the entertainment industry, they are indoncrinating you into believing that these symbols are harmless. They will never tell you the truth until you are in over your head. It is the same with white witchcraft which masquerades as "good" magic. There is no witchcraft that is good, it all comes from the same source and by the time you come to realise that you are already in to deep and getting out becomes a horrific journey, nothing good comes from dabbling with thse things, no human weilds power, what moves things are the disembodies spirits (demonic enttities) behind the spells you think you are using to help. Remember that satan masquerades as an angel of light and he is the father of lies, the great deceiver, once you enter you become their prisoner. Anton lavey died after a spiritual battle with people of God, he was pursuing a teen who was raised in his cult after she witnessed satanic rituals being done on babies and chose to leave them. You have no idea that these things are all connected and once you dabble in the occult you open doorways to these demonic entoties to enter your life and to begin to affect things, nothing good comes from using this symbol, it is evil, do not buy into the medias agenda to view witchcraft and such symbols as harmless, they are not, these symbols act as doorways to let these unclean things into your lives. Look at Hollywood, do you know almost all these actors andd actresses engage in such and then wonder why they later on have such a miserable ending (drugs, suicide, diet issues?), they are infested with these entities who won't let them rest in peace once they opened these doorways using the same symbols. It's not that the pentagram means evil, but I represents the control of the 4 traditional elements (the 4 points below the top point) over the top point being the soul. When you have the top point going down, it represents the elements in control of the spirit. This is man giving into his most carnal and bestial nature, being controlled be what is outside of the soul and basically rejecting the divinity with himself. This can also be seen as giving into materialistic and superficial urges. The top point being at the top (the pentacle being in it's "proper" position) represents the soul in control of the elements: being able to determine your own destiny and.being one with the divinity within. This is NOT being influenced by the carnal and the superficial, seeing through the illusions and self destructive outcomes they represent. It also represents Magickal power (using the spelling Aliester Crowley used to distinguish true "Magick" from slight of hand "Magic"), since the soul and the divine are.wjwre Magickal power are supposed to have their source. There's more I could go into, but that is why Levi said the upsidedown version it represents "evil": its the rejection of the higher self and the indulgence of the more base and destructive aspects of human nature. Hope that gives a little more perspective on the "evil version" of the 5 pointed star.

    I think the five-pointed star is actually a constellation as the stars move. Something with the advent of the Age of Aquarius. I think it's already happened, so the constellation isnt in that shape anymore.
    I was looking into this years ago and i cant really remember it all fully anymore, but these constellation changes are kind of like a change in the world around us too. There's other symbols that appear in the constellation too a since the stars are moving around a circle. They also seemed to be linked to signs of different genders, not just male or female but others as well. I think the Star of David appeared in the constellation a long time ago. So they seem to signify the changing of an era, or at the very least serve as an indication of time for someone to begin certain events that change the world

      You are so lost in devil's lies... he is the father of lies. he's lying now to you as he lied to Eve, depiction of what you can see on The Devil Tarot Card. There is no duality with God. There is no sin in God, because God is holy. What are you choosing? Holiness or so-called duality? Who do you wanna be with? God or satan?
      For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. And you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth (Leviticus 11:44)
      As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy. (1 Peter 1:14-16, an apostle of Jesus Christ)
      He has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.” (2 Timothy 1:9)
      when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.
      Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:21-24)
      Jesus Christ is the perfect example of one who walked in holiness. If we look at how He lived and exemplified holiness, we see a life committed to honoring God, showing love, honoring parents, serving others, and keeping the body holy.
      Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.” John (8:10-11)

      @Strong Believer of the Holy Bible you see theres a thing called history. In this history you can judge approximately when something occurred or if something occured based upon the arrival of the idea in the writings and documents of contemporaries. In this case, we credit year 1 Ce (or AD to non academics) as the year of jesus birth with 33ish being the time of the crucifixion. 2000 years is an rounded off # to cover any errors made in the establishment of the timeline. Interestingly enough its not until about 35-40 years later that the story of jesus begins to pick up in popularity with the first canonized gospels being written around 80 or 90 CE.

    The pentagram is linked to Ishtar, a goddess who is also connected to Aphrodite, essentially representing the same deity. Aphrodite, one of whose symbols is Venus, is associated with Satan because Venus is referred to as the morning star, a celestial object worshipped :D But wait Jesus calls himself the morning star as well. I enjoy your videos but when it comes to biblical understanding they leave a huge opening in one’s mind. The star has always represented Satan. Angels are considered Stars. Satan is the fallen star. The same star was used in ISREAL and still is today. These symbols have original origins and involve the Bible in some fashion. I’m sure most people would want that book destroyed but I am thankful it hasn’t.
