Well, Christians did steel from it, from Jesus himself, if ever a man existed. Later sects, at the Council of Nicea had taken much more than others.
Yet, one can find the influence from the Greek afterlife, within Dante as well.
Dante was making a statement about the times he lived, as he had recently deceased clergymen, monarchs, etc. within the Hell we are shown in the Inferno. It was very much a political statement, because he saw the church had become a corrupt monarchy, with every type of the most horrible things humans could do, being justified by those in power.

Yes- I heard that from a video that was called something like 'freemason initiation rituals' and it was a lady explaining what people in Hollywood have to do to be initiated and progress to higher levels of fame. She was there and she said that if people don't go along they won't get publicity and will not get famous, but those who do go along with the sick rituals (like eating and drinking feces and urine was one of them- at a Hollywood party) will then be all over magazines and get huge deals, like whenever you suddenly see a celebrity promoted everywhere and getting huge rolls it is because they were initiated into the cult.

Finally Jordan asked, "If a person becomes a spirit when they die, and a spirit can't be burned, how does a dead sinner burn in hell?" It is also not Ahura Mazda who sends you to Hell but the consequences of your own actions basically brings you closer to Ahriman and allows him to have more control of you, worst case scenario being your individual urvaan ceases to exist and you just become part of a hivemind under him dedicated to stopping the universe from being wholly good.

    @7katona7 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

One common thing surely in these ancient text: There is no redeemer. It is impossible for mankind to keep 'ALL THE LAWS, ALL THE TIME' (what ever the LAW, whenever the TIME). We also aware, that no righteous move outweighs the wicked deeds. (say that if 1 person was with another person's wife once: the punishment is clear. You killed a fly, spider or serpent motivated by fear then the punishment is clear). Furthermore based on heretics: say who believed this ancient text, practiced righteous life for 30 years, yet fall once to greed, lust or deceive. They suffer even harder.
Even the OT has only a Promise of a redeemer. Every ancient belief, religion, practice offers no help to become a righteous person. Providing countless punishment for sins are not help, but motive strengthen by fear. And the LORD GOD has not given mankind a spirit of fear.
These things are for sure true for current times, in context of 1 person. If that person decides:
    - If There is no GOD -> then who stops the evil?
    - If there is no evil -> then why GOD is needed?
    - If there is no heaven or hell -> then what is permanent non-existing? Energy can not be created nor destroyed by mankind. Then what happens to a person when they cease to exist?
    - If the kingdom of GOD is at hand, then for sure hell is closer then one might assume.
What I am trying to state here is: Hell is a place without GOD (without Light, without Truth) and Heaven is a place with GOD (with Light, with Truth). This place could be in your Mind, Head, Body, Earth or where ever you think it might be: The statement remains true. The choice is presented, the decision is yours and yours alone.

What is crazy to me is that there are people who actually believe in eternal suffering in hell. I feel pity for those people who have to live in fear of eternal punishment. The fear must be terrible. Indoctrinating simple-minded people (in most cases children!) into believing in a hell concept like in this video is a crime in itself.
I know that religions use hell concepts like this to discourage "immoral" (whatever that may be, as everybody defines morals differently) behaviour but in truth, people who only do good because they fear that they would be punished otherwise are not actually good people. E.g., an atheist who is good and kind to others just because they want to is a much better person than a religious person who does it because they fear hell.

    Just to correct a bit:
    1. 4:27 you said it is believed to be a place of fire, when that is logically far from the truth, as the fire is a good thing in itself. It is much more likely to be a place covered in ice, as the extreme cold is one of the powers of Angra Mainyu. Book of Arda Viraz may have (I don't remember actually) explained it as a place of fire, although I advise to take it with a grain of salt, elaborated in point 3.
    2. Hell is not eternal, as our God wants everyone to be happy, and achieve Ushta, thus the concept of "Hell", or rather "House of Lies", as originally called, is NOT eternal. Nor is heaven, actually, as after Frashokereti (the "Judgment Day") everyone will be cleansed from all evil, and later on they will reunite. You can read about it in chapter 30 of the Bundahishn (most prominently 30:27,29).
    3. Although the Book of Arda Viraz is sometimes considered holy in Zoroastrianism (there are disputes whether for example honor Videvdat, or Bundahishn even; there are some Zoroastrians that honor only Gathas) it was, as you said, most possibly written in IX century CE in a Muslim majority (for 150+ years already) country. It is very likely to have adopted some ideas from Muslims and Christians.
    4. The book wouldn't really be a warning "that if one does not embrace God [...] they will pay for it dearly in the long run", as you said in 22:24, as Zoroastrianism does not condemn people who did not believe in it. They will pay dearly, of course, but for their deeds that do not have much to do with their beliefs, as a moral compass exists in every single human, according to the Avesta.
    Have a great day!

I don't think any of that is true and how any of them managed to come by their information but it's an interesting parallel between what happens in Zoroastrianism, with the biggest difference is that in the religion they're personal and tied to one person instead of requiring many people to create them.

Some fun facts to add here:
    1. Hell is NOT permanent. In Zoroastrianism, when the day of judgement comes, evil is defeated forever and all souls in hell are forgiven and allowed into heaven. For the Zoroastrians, all humans are tempted by both good and evil at the same time, so hell is NOT a divine punishment and is just "the place where evil souls go".
    2. The three wise men who visit Jesus in his cradle are Zoroastrian priests. Their inclusion in the Bible is to demonstrate that Jesus is a legitimate messiah and the true heir to the Zoroastrian way.

These punishments as described are truly horrific. Perhaps today's society might learn something from watching this video. I believe that the ancient scholars who put these things into writing feared what would happen to society if people turned away from doing the right thing in life and wanted to put enough fear into people as to keep the fabric of their society intact. Our level of technology today, I believe, has caused far too many of us to forget the things that we need to have to keep the fabric of our society, today, intact.

Did you hear about the yuga cycles in India. Finally the idea that there were civilizations before ours is a product of something called the Silurian hypothesis where a couple a scientists said it could maybe be possible the silurians were an ancient race in hibernation from the TV show dr Who. Funny thing you would be down right surprised about how much the Jews Christian’s and Muslims really don’t know shit about shit. So this leaves you stupid

@@Hakar17 my guy what Sumerian religion exactly do you know what gods they worshipped? Where they worshipped? The times? Have you researched the possible times they celebrated as holidays? If I were to mention the name ziasudra would you recognize it? Have you ever taken a look at something abbreviated SKL? It’s the Sumerian kings list some of these dudes ruled for crazy time my point I’ll get at in a second but it’s like true erudition and logical reasoning have gone out the door with you young heads I worry about you guys bc Jesus you don’t even have to crack the spine on a book what’s a book? You ask it’s hard to explain they went the way of the cd player or the fabled Walkman what I’m saying though is don’t all you kids have phones in your pockets most of them connect to the www network all you have to do is google anything and boom ya get the answer and now with all these chat bots you really don’t even have to think anyway very long tangent for which I apologize now sorry to burst the ol’ bubble but on record the oldest monotheistic religion which does not include the good people of Sumer is the very old Persian religion Zoroastrianism which was started by a guy named Zoroaster briefly without offending anyone bc this very freaking old religion is practiced today now in Zoroastrianism there is an all pervading good force known as Ahura Mazda but there is also a counterbalancing bad force known as Arihman now you are free to follow either path but one gets u to hell the other paradise and the explanations of Zoroastrian hell and the things that get you there are heavy they make Christian’s hell seem like a spa day
Allow me to clear a little something up though so the term Hinduism is religious discrimination Hindus don’t exist see what we call Hinduism was a term coined by our friends in England now why would I bring this up well first what we call hinduism is six distinct schools of thought with many sub schools and practices soo many gods with different devotees and doctrines a joke that I think they may be kinda serious about is there are over a million gods my point is these schools all share certain uniting beliefs religious texts etc now my friend no one knows when exactly the war loving aryans brought these practices to the subcontinent but I can assure you it was before our good friends in Sumer wedged the Enuma Elish so no our friend Joe is not ABSOLUTELY corrrect but gets a B plus for the sheer fact of sticking it to the Smithsonian
Now I really have to clear something up that’s been bothering me for years there is no such thing as the annunaki back in the day the people called them the Annuna which translates as those in heaven our good friend Zachariah Sitchin added the ki to conveniently change the translation to those who from heaven came to earth to fit his whacky nibiru theories. Also places like this and tik tok are rampant with just plain false disinformation misinformation and dangerous information in my opinion the most dangerous virus that infects and festers in mankind are not things like AIDS or Ebola or the the dreaded SARS-CoV-2 virus 🦠 nope the virus I speak of needs special treatments that most people can’t handle the virus is ignorance but the only antivirals that work on this are books good music detachment for your dopaminergic hit evertime someone subscribes to your whatever or hearts your comment. You people believe you’re not at base reality a simulation a matrix of sorts problem is this whole idea was touted by moronic English philosopher Nick Bostrom then Elon jumped on then my favorite imbecile Neil degrasse Tyson here’s the rub my millennial and gen z friends we are truly caught in a matrix but all but a few people have been misreading it’s coding properly and therefore we can’t begin to free ourselves until we learn an extremely old yet basic coding language this code is what generates the heartbeat of our universe and when we discover this code we see it everywhere we find the truth about the prison we are all in but we aren’t stuck just delayed for a nefarious reason But we can definitely move on when ever we feel. The need. So I’m sorry if I came off a little sarcastic it’s just that I don’t understand the loss of facts in replacement for this Billy Carson led post ancient aliens age of Aquarius shit youknow? Anyway I apologize for my blunt straight forward approach it’s nothing personal at all I don’t think you’re an idiot actually the opposite you were making cogent statements based on the info you had at the time😀
