    And perhaps God being the omniscient person he is, knew all of these things would happen, and already was training/teaching Cain as he was to be the line that which Noah would come from. God has the habit of using imperfect people, weak people, the unnoticed people as an example of his power and glorification.

      I was under impression that the line of Enoch and Noah would come from Adam and Eves 3rd child Seth. Also I thought Cain would go on to form the line of Cain that would end(?) with Tubal Cain the artificer of weapons, right before the flood.

      My understanding is that when Cain was exiled from his family, he went to live with another 'tribe' or group of people who were 'not god's people' and had a family of his own with a woman from there. So it was not a sister or niece or cousin, but a whole other lineage. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @@k8tina this is how many Black Supremacists explain how all White people exist on this Earth, it’s how they justify their hate, they claim that white people “who they believe all originated from caves in the Caucus Mountains” are Not Gods people, but Demons who are the descendants of Cain and his crude DNA. There’s a lot more ridiculousness that I’d rather not get in to but that’s how they explain the existence of white people.

    The Jasher interpretation of the events leading to Abel's murder: It seemed more like the dispute was because Abel had let his sheep eat from Cain's field, but actually he did this because Cain slew one of Abel's sheep, ate it, and made a coat from it. So they're going tit for tat but perhaps Abel didn't mind that Cain took one of his and had thought this was the point of their endeavours; to share what the sew, but it seems more like Cain is being spiteful.
    It's also weird. The Genesis version seems to paint Cain as more of a psychopath who doesn't understand how to appease God while being selfish, and feels no remorse for killing his brother. It seems he's even foolish enough to think he can get away with it in the eyes of God. Whereas in the Jasper version, Cain seems a bit more innocent in the sense that he actually doesn't seem to comprehend why his sacrifice was rejected or why it's okay for him to kill a one of Abel's sheep but it's not okay for Abel's sheep to eat from Cain's field. It's almost like Cain is stupid or autistic. He just doesn't understand these social cues.

    • @CrownxMe7
      @CrownxMe7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you’re creating your own narrative. What it boils down to is Cain’s sacrifice was not accepted and when talking to his brother, he didn’t get the answer he wanted to hear. Anger got the best of him and he killed Abel and sought to act as if he was unaware of what happened to him.
      This isn’t a lack of social cues, Cain was crafty and wicked. This is evident through the actions of his children.
      The Book of Jasher is a fake and it is actually Jubilees. That aligns more with the canonized bible.
      Cain’s curse is that he would be unable to produce food from the earth, where as Adam’s curse was that he will have to work hard to eat. God showed Cain mercy despite what he did and his children stayed true to their roots and were wiped out in the flood.

    Context clues are always interesting in different books of the Bible. The rise of agriculture is what gave people the ability to stay in one place and create settlements and religion. Making it interest that Cain is on the looser being a farmer while Able is a driver of livestock. How the Book if Jasher also describes Ables blood being on the ground and speaking out reminds me of the old pagan blood sacrifices, using a plow blade as the weapon also seems pretty symbolic as well.

    • @CrownxMe7
      @CrownxMe7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scientifically speaking, blood is alive. It contains living cells so the Bible is correct.
      Also, agreeing with the other person that God’s preference is for Shepards. Symbolic for leading a large group. They tend to, herd, feed and guard flocks. We see this tied into Abel, Abraham, Jacob, David and Jesus himself.
      The Bible even goes as far to call the Antichrist a worthless or false shepherd.

    It should be noted that Cain's son Enoch is not the same as the much more famous Enoch who was the great-grandfather of Noah from the Biblical flood myth (and who according to the Books of Enoch and later Jewish tradition ascended to heaven to become the archangel Metatron). These two Enochs are both distinct characters in the family trees of Genesis, with Noah and his great-grandfather Enoch being descended from Adam and Eve's third son Seth, not Cain.
    There are also a few other descendants of both Cain and Seth who share the same or similar names yet are distinct characters, such as Lamech, Mahalalel/Mehujael, and Methuselah/Methushael. It is speculated by some scholars that the similar names indicate a single family tree as the original source of the genealogy, but that differences in transmission resulted in two variations developing, which were later recombined into the two-family paradigm described in Genesis.

    It doesn't say "let 'me' make man in 'my' own image", it says "let 'us' make man in 'our' image". The reason it uses the plural is because the original name of God in the creation story is Elohim, which is a plural containing both gods and goddesses (El, Eloh and im). Another name is added when the Elohim create Adam (Adam means Blood), that added name is HaShem which literally means The Name - Iod Hei Vav Hei.

    I'm surprised that the Tigris and the Euphrates are mentioned because that would mean how the Genesis narrative is entirely located in the Middle East. I suppose all origin tales in religion are local to a single, specific area on Earth. Such an analysis helps demonstrate Abrahamic religions later encompassing other lands with later additions to the narrative. I'm looking at all those later Japhetic humans mentioned from the Middle Ages.

    • @STho205
      @STho205 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It also mentions the Pichon and the Gihon which may be the White Nile and the Blue Nile...or may be the Ganges and Indus. India religions also speak of 4 rivers flowing from the garden of creation.
      I caution on selective readings of just verses here and there. The creation stories and origin of man are pretty short. May as well read them in full.

    • @kimeraclan3135
      @kimeraclan3135 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@STho205 But if the Gihon and the Pichon were meant to be the Indus and the Ganges rivers then when were they revised or added in the narrative later. In King Solomon's verses from the Bible, in Kings, there is a mention of a nation called Ophir which scholars still aren't sure if it was meant to be an Indian kingdom, Sri Lanka, Sumatra, the Philippines or maybe even Libya or Tunisia. I keep in mind that these texts are non-canonical and therefore unreliable to tell an exact and concrete narrative.

      The real Jasher is Jubilees,the Jasher that you see today on line,is occult, like Enoch 2&3. It's a mistranslation. Joshua talks about it in the Bible,but it matches to jubilees,and not what we call the uncredible book of Jasher. This book of jasher has a lot of inconsistencies and a lot of contradictions to all the other books of the Bible. There's no record of anybody riding it there's no timeline there's nothing that proves that it's even scripture.

      The book That Joshua spoke of,in the Bible, is the book of jubilees because it's the first books that Moses wrote, test it with Torah it matches up with all of the writings , language ,the character and speaks of YAHUSHUA the MESSIAH. The book explains that the feast that the people of Israel are supposed to attend every year by law. And also as Christians we are to be completing these feasts along with the ten commandments along with the teachings of Jesus and keeping the Sabbath Saturday.

    I always wondered if they ate from the tree of life would they just have been immortal, but still "innocents". Not knowing of Good and Evil.
    Also before they disobeyed, were they aging? Or was it slower like Methuselah and Enoch and Noah, just way way slower, but they'd still die?
    What if they didn't disobey? Then they wouldn't know how to have sex and have kids. Then God would either have to show them how or create two more humans if Adam and Eve didn't "follow the plan".
    Because in almost every Christian faith's belief system, God has everything already planned out from beginning to end. Even our free will is included in this plan.
    So did He always know they'd disobey?
    If so why even create humans in the first place?
    Same for the fallen angels.
    If He always knew the Watchers and Rebel Angels were gonna wage war on the Throne of Heaven, why bother creating them at all?
    Being an Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient Entity can't be ALL that boring, that you have to make a whole universe or multiverse, all the living beings, the spiritual ones, WHEN you KNOW it's gonna get messed up anyway! Why bother? For the LOLZ?

    I fully believed parents had the legal right to kill you if they wished, due to some severe indiscretion on my part.
    When reading the Genesis account of how Eve was created, I assumed that from then on, all men had one less rib than women.
    I thought my assumption to be fact, until my first year of nursing school during anatomy class, when I stated that the skeleton we were using to name the bones of the body must have been a female cus she had all her ribs 😂

    CAIN - IS NOT the seed of satan
    however, Cain planted the seed
    He was a tiller of the Soil
    When sin approached him - he chose the way to destruction (son of perdition)
    GENESIS 4:7
    "7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
    The seed he planted grew. It grew into the hearts of man.
    He planted the seed of hate, jealousy - SIN
    He agreed to plant the seed of the serpent - In HIMSELF
    And until his descendants are wiped out..the seed will continue to grow until his ruin - until his last seed perishes
    aka the ANTI CHRIST

    He is still God he is the alpha and the Omega the first and the last the beginning and the end he is God all by himself and he doesn't need anyone's help. Someone or something can be in the image of another one or another thing for an example cars cars can be in the image of other cars even though they are different brands and colors because they serve the same purpose which is transportation they may not be exactly alike but they are still in the image of each other because they share one goal and that is mobility. God dwells in a class all by himself no other can duplicate him no other can match him no other can beat him humans and angels are not in class by themselves because both creations sin because they are not sovereign only God is sovereign.

      @@k8tina my question then is why this is not explained that God created others to stop the misunderstandings. I understand many books were excluded when the full bible was compiled and I believe many stories were rewritten to more abide with the cultural norms of that time, like Mary Madeline was a whore. The book of Madeline is discovered which eludes she was also a disciple and may have had a more intimate relationship. Very, very confusing. Can we take the Bible as absolutely historically true and that man did not rewrite parts of it to suit their own thoughts of morality. At that time of compiling , women held no power and were best second class. And could not allow any women of the Bible show power, being upper class or holding more wisdom than a man.

    Cain is not the son of Adam. However, he was born by way of eve, and this can be proven in the book of Luke chapter 3 verse 38 . We know that Cain kills Abel . Thus , Abel did not have children. After Abel death, you see in verse 38 that Seth was the next in line from Adam. Cain was alive, so why was he not mentioned in the genealogy of Adam if he came from Adam's lineage. Cain is the son of the wicked one (1 John chapter 3 verse 12). Cain is the son of the devil, who were in the garden with eve, and the fruit was not an apple. The fruit that was eaten by eve is symbolic of sex that happened in the garden between her and the wicked one. And by the way, you have the wrong depiction of the people in the garden, but that is another story that can be proven in the Bible. However, I digress.

    Did God already know? You skipped the part where God was walking through the Garden looking for Adam.
    Adam and Eve hid until they answered his call.
    God asked why they were hiding and Adam said he was naked. And God asked him how he knows he’s naked?
    He then asks if he ate from the Tree which he commanded them not to eat, and that’s when he cursed them.
    If he already knew Adam and Eve would fail and disobey, that would be quite sadistic and unloving.
    It is also interesting the Bible doesn’t mention much the other people living in the land. It’s why he was marked so others knew not to bring harm to him.

      A very easy answer. The Bible doesn't say that Cain, Able and the daughters were their only children. Before the flood, man lived up to 1000 years. In the Old Testament, GOD allowed incest in order to populate the Earth. So imagine Eve having triplets and quadruplets...etc every year or so for 1000 years. Then those children coming of age within 20 years and reproducing at the same rate. It's not hard to imagine a small city being born within a century and several cities by the time of Adam and Eve's deaths.
