But insurance costs are a bomb waiting to be dropped, since the state keeps spreading the risk and not charging coastal homes what would be an appropriate rate. They were set to drop that bomb a few years ago but the wealthy prevailed. So my home in da hood and other insurance policies have hurricane surcharges so the rich are spared paying their fail share.

I worked in insurance as a claims adjuster and I know - the insurance on such a house that practically an island has to be more expensive than the actual home. So many people in Florida underinsured their home cuz the costs are ridiculous

Just wondering why the master bedroom closet and bathroom was skipped? A lot of the time that’s the main selling point of a house, besides the kitchen. Makes you wonder🤔
Wow this a wonderful Mediterranean-style Florida mansion with the view of the sea and Intracoastal. The bedrooms are very big and car garage is big. all the rooms have a balcony. The living room is big. I like the resort-style big pool. If that mansion was in South Florida it would have cost $44 million.

The inter coastal waterway runs around the entirety of Florida. Literally every single beach house is on an island like that.
