Installed my headlights last night. Very nice product. Gun metal grey looks good against the Ingot silver truck. Two answers: You don't need a fuse tap for the DRL leads. Just rotate the supplied lead 180 degrees in the fuse box and it snaps right it. The other answer to my earlier question is if you leave the DRL leads unplugged in the fuse box, the only functionality affected is DRL ONLY. Meaning......when you turn on the the headlights the DRL LED bar still lights up at 50 percent. If later I decide I want DRL it very simple to pop the cover off the fuse box and snap the lead in.

Few suggestions to make this install video even better. 1 - better explanation and video of how to run the fuse extension wire out of the fuse box to get the lid to close. Haven't found a video yet that really shows this. Smashing the lid on isn't the answer, at least not on a 2019. 2 - show options for the turn signals. Since you can either use the factory (or supposed to be able to) maybe show that and then show swapping for the LED option that is offered on your website that use the socket that comes with the headlights. 3 - better explanation of which of the harnesses to use and which stays unplugged since there are 2 from the factory (H/L) and only 1 is used on the new housing. None of these are really shown in the install guide so you have to watch multiple videos or reach out to HR for support.
I have a 2019 F-250 (Ingot Silver), and I just installed these headlights today. Install was straight forward, especially if you watched the video. I only had 2 small little issues...1. The head lights are a pain in the ass getting them in and out (my opinion). 2. I ordered the GTR turn signal bulbs from H.R. and the one bulb doesn't sit too snug in the turn signal adapter. It fell out once when I was putting the headlight back in, and it was a ROYAL pain in the ass getting it back out...but I did. I will contact H.R. after the holiday to see what the deal is with that. Also, adjusting these headlights are going to be difficult I think with them in place, might have to remove a few things to get to the screw. Make sure you get the fuse tap extension when you buy these lights, I definitely needed it for my truck. Over all, I'm happy with these lights, we shall see how they hold up over time. I'm worried about hitting a bump though, and that 1 turn signal bulb popping out. Lastly ,like someone else here said, if you have an INGOT SILVER truck..these head lights are TAILOR MADE for this color truck!! You will not be disappointed with the look of these headlights and the color of this truck. Thanks H.R. for the installation video.
Having the exact same issue with the turn signals. Bulb pops right out of the holder. Took 20 minutes to get the bulb out of the housing. Factory won’t fit in there either so not sure what to do. Think I figured it out the the socket that came with the headlights is faulty and causing the bulb to pop out. One finally stuck but the other is a no go no matter what. Contacted HR and will see the resolution.
@@nicholasastleford5880 Nick, do you still have your truck, and are you still having an issue with the turn signal bulb popping out? My turn signal bulb popped out again, and I'm currently trying to get ahold HR to see what the fix is for this.
@@anthonys.5653 I did get it to stay and so far so good. I put the bulb on the workbench and put my weight into it until it popped in. Then shook the crap out of it and hit it against the table to make sure it stayed.
@@nicholasastleford5880 yea, mine is currently sitting in the housing. If I remember correctly, when I first installed these lights, the turn signal bulb fit in the socket loosely. It fell out during installation, and it was a royal pain in the ass to get it out. I'm still currently waiting to hear back from HR...I might have to try what you did. I'm also thinking about getting a back up pair of headlights, cause we are screwed with times like this.
Question I spend a lot of time on standby, what’s the best way to have the daytime running lights turn off . So at idle I want to be able to turn them off . Do I need to add a switch to help bypass this
So......on OEM assembly, there’s two H13 plugs and two connectors on the wiring harness. On the hybrid there’s only one. What about the extra plug you’ll have on your trucks harness?

@@josueosorio5412 The fuse tap harness should have been with the instructions, did you receive any instructions? The 17-19 Super Duties come with two different turn signal options. The 2017 has a 3157 bulb, and the 18-19 has a 4257 bulb. Morimoto should have included a 4257 socket with these headlights as well, which sounds like that's not the case in your situation. Thank for the fast shipping. I had one other related DRL question. In your video it was said the DRLs will dim 50 percent when the headlights are switched ON. If I do not connect the DRLs via the hot wire kit to the fuse box, will they still come on at 50 percent brightness when the headlights are switched ON?
I installed the XB Hybrids in November 2022 and the whole length of DLR perimeter leds on my driver side suddenly stopped working. Everything else is working fine. Any idea on what could be the issue and why it would be isolated to just the DLR perimeter leds on the driver side only?
Installed my XB Hybrids from Headlight Revolution last night. They look 1000X better than stock. Only problem is that I cant seem to figure out how to aim the headlights once installed? Can anyone provide some feedback or advice???? I hope there is a way to do this without having to remove the assembly to get to the one screw!!

I ordered my headlights yesterday for my 2017 F250 and have a question about the DRLs. With this kit installed will my truck still have the functionality of being able to turn off the DRLs with the truck's menu if I choose? If not, can I disable the DRLs by unplugging power to them?
You will have to actually disconnect the DRL fuse tap harness, but other than that you could totally turn off those DRLs! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!

I finally got the side marker adapters to make these work but now found out the stock bulb doesn't fit, very disappointing. I'll try to buy different bulbs but after reading below how the new adapters don't seat the right bulbs I'm skeptical.
Got mine to work using 7444N/A bulbs, had to really put some force on them to seat in the adapters but they are in there very solid as they sit now. Also had to file down the fuse extender to get it to fit in the fuse block.

You will not need to take out the resistors, they will be needed for the LED bulbs in the new headlights! If you want the all in one where you don't need any extra resistors, you will want to go with the full Morimoto XB LED Headlight
How are you supposed to adjust the headlights? There are no videos on how to adjust them. The lights are bad ass but I look like an idiot cause they are so out of wack
I tried to install mine today. You must remove the turn signal light from your old housing and twist it into the xb housing. Problem is, my oem signal base has 3 tabs to lock it into place. The xb housing will only accept a base with 4 tabs. I had to put my stock lights back in. Has anyone come across this? It appears some 2019 Superdutys have a 4 tab style but mine is 2018. This kit is supposed to fit 17-19 so that shouldn't matter. Not too happy with morimoto at the moment! Oh and they don't give you instructions but tell you to download install instructions from their website. Well the link doesn't work on their website so all I have to go on is this video lol which does not cover this detail.
I am so sorry about this happening, this is totally not your fault! Basically, the manufacturer forgot to include the turn signal adapter in the boxes, but we did get those in from Morimoto! @@ryanlahner690 thanks! I already bought new bulbs... I knew that would be an issue. Adapters should be here in a couple days and I should be good from there.
update: The new sockets came but are very cheap feeling and after 2 sets of 7443/7444 bulbs, the signal/parking lights still do not work. My friend is actually a tech at the local Ford dealer and cannot get it working. He feels these new adapter sockets are the issue. The bulb is super sloppy in these sockets and feels like it would fall out into the housing. I will have to return these which really sucks. I would check which bulb/socket your superduty has before buying these because if you have a 3157 oem bulb like me, these do not work :( . If ayone has come across this, please chime in. For the record I did not buy from HR, they have been helpful when I reached for advice though. This is in my opinion a morimoto issue and they need a fix.

I don’t need the harness or the parking/turn lights, I don’t wanna spend more money on lights. Now who is gonna fix the upper half of the daytime running lamp passenger side ? Honestly I regret buying this product.
Yep , pretty much all of us who bought this product didn’t get the fuse tap or the t signal sockets , and you watch , they are gonna reply saying “that’s odd ! “ No it is not ! I got mine last week , passenger side assembly C only half of it illuminates, i e mailed them complaining about it. There is a process to get a replacement but ill pass. They are gonna send me (or maybe they already did) the fuse extension and the sockets,. Too late .

So you can't adjust with the lights installed? You have to adjust when they're out since it's behind the light? We've been struggling to adjust without taking it completely apart on our f250
I'm having the same issue and it's very frustrating. There is absolutely no way to adjust them once there installed. I'm taking completely apart to adjust them. Fail.
Haha good luck with that final decision! I can tell you that they are both great options, just depends on if you would like to go with the one that is all LED or not!

WRONG AGAIN ! This is not plug and play , you have to do harness work , and then you have go back to the boxes hoping you’ll find the jumper harness for the fuses with no luck and on top of that the factory turn signal socket DOES NOT fit in the HR hole socket .
Just installed mine. And soon relized the fuse tap extention wasnt in the box!!!! What a stupid design. It will not fit into the fuse box because the fuses are on the side. The kid in the video shows you how to install it. Obviously it a design error and thats the fix. How do I get one sent to me So I can complete the install?

I just got mine and do not have that little tap extension. Is it supposed come with the lights? Is that a morimoto thing or a HR thing? I purchased mine through a Canadian distributor as I am in Canada and we get raped on dutyand taxes if we buy direct from you guys 😒 Also the bottom H13 never got plugged into anything?
That is correct, the H13 connector for one of the H13 bulbs will be left disconnected on both sides, as the harness will only need one of each connection! It does come with the headlights, and you should have gotten that from the company you purchased that from. Get into contact with them and they should be able to get you taken care of. Looks like this was just an error on their part!👍

The adjustment will be on the back of the headlight housing, you will have adjuster screws to move that beam up, down, right, and left! Let us know if you need any help with that adjustment, we are always happy to help!
He is not asking you where is the adjuster , he is asking you how the lights can be adjusted , he is asking you how is he goong to get a screw driver and his hand betwen the battery and the adjuster . It seems like you guys forgot to show us that part of the pricess in the video
I installed these but cannot find the adjuster screw to adjust the beams up and down. Plus, there is no room to get to the back of each headlight with the batteries in the way?
These headlights are a hybrid between the halogen technology for the turn signals, and the LED technology for the main headlights! They are a new headlight lineup that is a little more budget friendly compared to going with the full XB LED Headlights!
The fuse tap harness will come with those headlights, you will be good to go with that install when they arrive! If you have any other questions, shoot us an email and we will get you taken care of!
@@josueosorio5412 sure seems like a lot of people didn’t get the tap. I got mine a few days ago and went to install and it wasn’t there, and now no one answers the phone and they just say leave a message and someone will get back with you. HR needs to invest in someone to do some quality control.

We are waiting on Morimoto to come out with a fix, and we will get that out to customers as soon as we have that in our hands!

I ordered my headlights yesterday for my 2017 F250 and have a question about the DRLs. With this kit installed will my truck still have the functionality of being able to turn off the DRLs with the truck's menu if I choose? If not, can I disable the DRLs by unplugging power to them?
You will have to actually disconnect the DRL fuse tap harness, but other than that you could totally turn off those DRLs! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
I have a grumper on my 2017 F 250, changing the head lights looks to be to much trouble. :( Maybe changing the bulbs might be easier.

Had the perfect option at an affordable cost and went and stuck a halogen bulb in it... Stick an led in it please.

I finally got the side marker adapters to make these work but now found out the stock bulb doesn't fit, very disappointing. I'll try to buy different bulbs but after reading below how the new adapters don't seat the right bulbs I'm skeptical.
Got mine to work using 7444N/A bulbs, had to really put some force on them to seat in the adapters but they are in there very solid as they sit now. Also had to file down the fuse extender to get it to fit in the fuse block.

I already have headlight revolution led bulbs in my truck and they the resistors on them so do I need to unhook them when installing these?
You will not need to take out the resistors, they will be needed for the LED bulbs in the new headlights! If you want the all in one where you don't need any extra resistors, you will want to go with the full Morimoto XB LED Headlight

I tried to install mine today. You must remove the turn signal light from your old housing and twist it into the xb housing. Problem is, my oem signal base has 3 tabs to lock it into place. The xb housing will only accept a base with 4 tabs. I had to put my stock lights back in. Has anyone come across this? It appears some 2019 Superdutys have a 4 tab style but mine is 2018. This kit is supposed to fit 17-19 so that shouldn't matter. Not too happy with morimoto at the moment! Oh and they don't give you instructions but tell you to download install instructions from their website. Well the link doesn't work on their website so all I have to go on is this video lol which does not cover this detail.
I am so sorry about this happening, this is totally not your fault! Basically, the manufacturer forgot to include the turn signal adapter in the boxes, but we did get those in from Morimoto! @@ryanlahner690 thanks! I already bought new bulbs... I knew that would be an issue. Adapters should be here in a couple days and I should be good from there.
update: The new sockets came but are very cheap feeling and after 2 sets of 7443/7444 bulbs, the signal/parking lights still do not work. My friend is actually a tech at the local Ford dealer and cannot get it working. He feels these new adapter sockets are the issue. The bulb is super sloppy in these sockets and feels like it would fall out into the housing. I will have to return these which really sucks. I would check which bulb/socket your superduty has before buying these because if you have a 3157 oem bulb like me, these do not work :( . If ayone has come across this, please chime in. For the record I did not buy from HR, they have been helpful when I reached for advice though. This is in my opinion a morimoto issue and they need a fix.

Yes easy to install , i got mine today , 1- HR didn’t send the jumper harness for the fuse , 2- mine is a 2019 f350 lariat, the turn signal/parking light hole socket of the hybrid headlamp DOES NOT match the factory hole socket , in other words the factory socket DOES NOT fit in the hybrid headlamp hole socket. Came to find out after i had the whole front end of the truck apart.

I am a ford tech too , and let me tell you something, nice lights don’t get me wrong but I don’t care if HR tries to send me adapters bulbs or whatever , i will figure it out, i will fix it w/o their help , the reason : I don’t trust them.
Something expensive like that should come absolutely perfect.

I made a jumper harness , no sense to be waiting and taking the front end apart again, but im gonna have to , passenger side upper half ( [ ) daytime running lamp dims , turns off , anf flickers while driving , rechecked connections and still doing the same thing.
I don’t need the harness or the parking/turn lights, I don’t wanna spend more money on lights.
Now who is gonna fix the upper half of the daytime running lamp passenger side ?

Yep , pretty much all of us who bought this product didn’t get the fuse tap or the t signal sockets , and you watch , they are gonna reply saying “that’s odd ! “
No it is not ! I got mine last week , passenger side assembly C only half of it illuminates, i e mailed them complaining about it. There is a process to get a replacement but ill pass. They are gonna send me (or maybe they already did) the fuse extension and the sockets,.

So you can't adjust with the lights installed? You have to adjust when they're out since it's behind the light? We've been struggling to adjust without taking it completely apart on our f250
You should be able to reach the adjustment screw from the top of the housing once it's installed. You can use a screwdriver.

I'm having the same issue and it's very frustrating. There is absolutely no way to adjust them once there installed. I'm taking completely apart to adjust them. Fail.
@@JK-np6ig I was able to find the adjustment screw without removing. It’s on the far outside I used a very long skinny Phillips to adjust it

You can totally use switchback bulbs for the turn signals, and you can actually use the same exact kit that you currently have installed!

These are completely plug and play, and will not modify the vehicle in any way that would void the warranty! You should be good to go!👍

This is not plug and play , you have to do harness work , and then you have go back to the boxes hoping you’ll find the jumper harness for the fuses with no luck and on top of that the factory turn signal socket DOES NOT fit in the HR hole socket .
Just installed mine. And soon relized the fuse tap extention wasnt in the box!!!! What a stupid design. It will not fit into the fuse box because the fuses are on the side. The kid in the video shows you how to install it. Obviously it a design error and thats the fix. How do I get one sent to me So I can complete the install?

I just got mine and do not have that little tap extension. Is it supposed come with the lights? Is that a morimoto thing or a HR thing? I purchased mine through a Canadian distributor as I am in Canada and we get raped on dutyand taxes if we buy direct from you guys 😒 Also the bottom H13 never got plugged into anything?

That is correct, the H13 connector for one of the H13 bulbs will be left disconnected on both sides, as the harness will only need one of each connection! As for the fuse tap extension, if that didn't come in the box with the headlights that is an error on our part, and you can shoot us an email to get that sent out! Support@TheRetrofitSource.com

It does come with the headlights, and you should have gotten that from the company you purchased that from. Get into contact with them and they should be able to get you taken care of. Looks like this was just an error on their part!👍

If you are looking for just general information on that bulb, I do not believe that we have had a chance to test that one. I will pass that info down the line, and hopefully they will add that to the list ot get in a future video!

How do i adjust them?
The adjustment will be on the back of the headlight housing, you will have adjuster screws to move that beam up, down, right, and left! Let us know if you need any help with that adjustment, we are always happy to help!
He is not asking you where is the adjuster , he is asking you how the lights can be adjusted , he is asking you how is he goong to get a screw driver and his hand betwen the battery and the adjuster . It seems like you guys forgot to show us that part of the pricess in the video
I installed these but cannot find the adjuster screw to adjust the beams up and down. Plus, there is no room to get to the back of each headlight with the batteries in the way?

Hybrid?
These headlights are a hybrid between the halogen technology for the turn signals, and the LED technology for the main headlights! They are a new headlight lineup that is a little more budget friendly compared to going with the full XB LED Headlights!
Is there a way to run just the c shape light and not have the signal light on with it?
I wish we had an option for that, but the amber marker is required to be on the headlight housing for it to be DOT approved. Sorry about that!

@@josueosorio5412 sure seems like a lot of people didn’t get the tap. I got mine a few days ago and went to install and it wasn’t there, and now no one answers the phone and they just say leave a message and someone will get back with you. HR needs to invest in someone to do some quality control.

Hey there, thank you for reaching out! We have just been alerted about an issue with these housings not having the turn signal bulb holder, so they are currently not able to fit in the headlights. We are waiting on Morimoto to come out with a fix, and we will get that out to customers as soon as we have that in our hands!
