My goal looking for hipertrophy in a calorie déficit made me sweat ammonia for 2 months, but as I was gaining muscles into this dangerious process without feeling weekness and stuff like that, I ignored It and kept my high and intense training without a proper diet, but the results of this craziness showed up in the worst way possibly: I started feeling lightheaded, dizzy, weak, nauseous, like I would faint at any moment. So I decided to not only stop temporarally the trainings but also increase a lot my carbs ingestion during this resting moment, but 11 days hav passed by and I'm still sweating ammonia and feeling weekness, so I dont know what else do. I think I'm having a carb deficiency
It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms related to a severe protein breakdown or potential metabolic issues; please consult with a healthcare provider immediately for a comprehensive evaluation and tailored treatment plan. ❤️

I started experiencing this in the last few years. Im unsure if its since i got on birth control or before. My blood work is normal except borderline cholestrol and bad cholestrol. This last test my triglycerides were up for the first time ever which ive read can be caused by carbs or alcohol. I dis have alcohol a few days prior so maybe thats why. Although i dont eat a lot of bread, i still find i have a decent amount of carbs in my diet even from veggies. Im confused as to why id have that underarm smell despite eating reasonable carbs.
@OceanMetTheSky It could be due to hormonal changes, especially if it started around the time you began birth control. Hormones can affect body odor, even when other factors like diet seem balanced. Elevated triglycerides from alcohol or carb intake might also contribute, but it’s worth consulting a doctor to explore the hormonal link and consider tweaking your diet for better results.
@nesagalicia Foul breath and body odor resembling fungus might be related to an overgrowth of Candida in your gut, which can cause a condition known as candidiasis. However, it could also be due to other factors like poor oral hygiene, certain foods, or metabolic disorders. It's important to see a healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

@christinebowman90 It sounds like you're concerned about managing insulin resistance and its impact on health. For those dealing with insulin resistance, it's crucial to focus on a balanced diet that includes low-glycemic, fiber-rich carbohydrates, such as vegetables, legumes, and whole grains, while avoiding excessive sugar and refined carbs. Tailoring dietary choices to individual needs and working with a healthcare provider or nutritionist can help manage insulin levels effectively. Thank you for bringing up this important issue; it's always valuable to discuss how best to support health and manage conditions.
@greeksalad4783 I'm really sorry to hear that you're dealing with kidney disease and experiencing ammonia-like odors. This can occur when the kidneys aren't filtering waste effectively, leading to the buildup of urea in the blood, which can then be released in sweat and breath. It's important to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider, as they can help manage your condition and provide recommendations. Staying hydrated, following a kidney-friendly diet, and adhering to your treatment plan can also help. Please take care of yourself, and don't hesitate to seek support!
I am so sorry, I will pray for you greeksalad4783 🙏 GOD and His Angels knows your name, though I don't, He knows your needs, I pray in His Name you are given all the proper and best care possible by best doctors, I pray for your peace in mind , body and spirit, that your burdens by light in always and for your radical healing immediately Amen!🙏❤️
I believe I understand, I’m not getting enough carbs so my body is breaking down protein for energy. Thank you for the info.
You're welcome! Ensuring an adequate intake of carbohydrates can help prevent your body from breaking down protein for energy. ❤️

so you are telling people to eat more carbs as if insulin resistance isn't bad enough.

Lady, they aren't saying to eat a dozen doughnuts everyday. Come on now. I'd say that's a little extreme a reaction.
I have kidney disease, and I smell like ammonia every day. 😢
How are you doing?
