I asked if he would sing while I play a song on guitar! He said "Of course.. let me hear what u got!" Rainy night in the city, chillin' outside making music with Chino Moreno.. Could not have asked for a better night!!!
Yea most definitely! Very nice, kind of shy, real kind of dude! The moment he started singing while i played the acoustic guitar you could immediately tell he has a huge passion for music itself!
Humble, honest, and unpretentious. He doesn't give himself a credit, instead he lets "us" to judge. He is just doing what he feels like doing or ,perhaps, what he is destined to be doing. "We" are just subjective observers who become attracted by the band's creativity with ever growing intensity. Chino Moreno is an essential part of the ultimate "whole". And that "whole" is the "Deftones".
Love you Chino. Every fucking time I listen to Koi No Yokan, it's a trip. That album is a masterpiece. Ty Deftones for all the heart you put into your music.

I'm taking my daughter and girlfriends kids to their first concert at 13 deftones. I saw them last in 1999 Detroit opening for pantera and Black sabath Ozzy.
When my sister saw the Deftones in the 90's She saw Stephen grinding against Chino. Stephen and Chino both laughed and said "You the gay man" Stephen then took drank a 40.
Stephen always has a fan blowing whether it's hot or not because I think he likes his hair blowing in the wind as he plays. Check out any vid of him, and also the video for Minerva. You'll see what I'm talking about.
