Culture club makes a lot of sense. You can see where he molded that kind of sensual, deliberate vocal style into the deftones.
Makes me very happy that Chino shares the same views on Coldplay as me - all hype. Absolute legend.
Weezer blue album...oohhhhh man! Only in dreams is a great closer! Good call chino.
Damn this guy is cool, doesn’t even care jamming out to KC and the sunshine band (that was one of the first bands I connects to also, but it was a different song).
I relate to him and respect him so much. My favorite artist in music
I'm a huge fan of Chino. I used to feel like cosmically related to him when I was younger. We have the same birthday. I used to sit and play the entire blue album on guitar and also feel a bond with massive fans of that album. One time I spent 24 hours on a bus to get back from half way across the country for a Deftones show. But..I do like Coldplay. Glass of Water is a really fantastic song. However they do have songs and even albums I just don't connect with.
funny i see this comment today, happy birthday bro
Very emotional for so many reasons on so many levels
Love me some chino moreno
This dude is like a best friend to me.
I like Yellow by Coldplay... Makes me cry because it reminds me of my dad. Other than that song, what Chino said is spot on. Coldplay sucks, Deftones rules 🤘🏻
I never minded Deftones' music when I was in high school. If I heard a song by them on the radio (Diamond Eyes came out when I was going into my junior year, for example), I wouldn't mind and I liked what I heard but I never cared to get into their music. As my music taste matured, I rediscovered them and now I'm addicted. Favorite band for sure and I'm seeing them live for the first time in September. Can't fucking wait!
I was in high school when i heard "Back to School" for first time. And that was it, like magic 🙌
wow.. same lol
