Such a great topic!!! Love the light feel and approach toward giving us tips with this one along with how you insert your b-roll. Each vid keeps improving. AWESOME
Thanks, Ron! It's something I'm going through right now, and apparently 10% of America is, too. The B-roll really stepped it up, didn't it?! I definitely think this is my best video yet. Thanks for all your support and ideas :) Are you a box buyer or box hustler?
*I love your glasses 😍🤗👍🏻🥳 My most favorite is “ALDI” , they have soo many boxes and you can take as much as you want, no one ever said anything bad to me for taking boxes from “ALDI”🤗👍🏻*
I hear you there. ALDI always has so many boxes readily available. They don't always have tops or ways to close, though, which can be frustrating when moving if you're trying to stack things. I'm so glad to hear you're helping save the planet by reusing boxes, too! :)
Adulting with Esther yes I agree with you many boxes in ALDI do not have tops you have to look for them and to dig through all the boxes to find the ones with tops. Yes I love saving trees ! In fact One of the reasons I like ALDI is that they don’t use plastic bags anymore everyone use boxes to carry their groceries which I think is so cool ! I started to that in other stores too (Walmart , Target and etc , instead of using plastic bags I find boxes in the store and carry my groceries to my car and from my car in boxes). I am hearing more and more compliments from my neighbors that I am doing this and they said they will start to do the same ! Use reused boxes also helps with plastic reduce 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That's so great! We've been on the reusable bag kick for about 7 years now. I just like that bags have handles where boxes, don't. I suppose when you live in the city, have to park 3 blocks from your apartment, and then walk the whole way, you definitely don't want to make two trips! For the longest time all my reusable bags were the ones you get with purchase from Victoria's Secret lol. But they got the job done!
Adulting with Esther yes reusable bags are great I just forget to take with me and leave them at home or at car most of the time 🙈🙈 so then I use boxes so I don’t need to use the plastic bags and feel guilty . 7 years wow very impressive , so proud of you 👍🏻👍🏻 oh and great idea about using Victoria Secret bags for groceries , I love it , that’s so cool and stylish 😍🤗👍🏻❤️
Oh, Blakeford, you slay me. I'm just geeked to create another cat city after we move with all these boxes. Those things live in the living room for at least a week. How many cats do you have again?
Blakeford Stoller well, since you’re not moving any time soon....I think you should collect boxes and make a cat tower. Then film it for me to watch them play 🥰
@@AdultingwithEsther haha, I will do that and find a creative way to work it into one of my videos! I'm always looking for an excuse to put the kitties in my videos anyway :)
My apologies for the delayed response, for TV's I've covered them with blankets (or packing blankets) and then plastic wrapped the crap out of them! If I was still concerned after that then I would cut apart cardboard to cover the screen and tape that on top of it. What did you decide to do? Pay $49?
@@AdultingwithEsther nope... i stalked garbage bins and was lucky with so many people buying TVs in my apartment complex. Whenever some one threw a box out i grabbed it lol but then the movers said those boxes sucked. So they wrapped them in blankets. Prob not the best thing but it all worked for $0 extra dollars 😬🤣🤣
@@meshisha77 sometimes the bottom line is all that matters! Glad you were successful! Idk if you have the space, but I have friends that live in a house with basement storage and they just save the original boxes and packing materials from their TVs. A bit overkill if you ask me, but to each their own!
@@AdultingwithEsther I'm TOTALLY a hustler, I've done everything on your list except going to the liquor stores (Ironically, the last time I needed boxes, a friend that worked at a box-maker gave me about 30 of the really solid liquor boxes... those are the BEST b/c they're so strong! (and in my case, they all match). We've moved about 8 times in the last 10 years!
God's Word Made Simple oh, I hear you! If you’ve got the awkward “now we have to put everything in storage because we’re homeless for the next few weeks” having the same sized boxes really comes in handy. And to know you don’t have to pay for that luxury is just another win!
Depends on how far you have to go to get them. I've always gotten them from my alley or my work so it's fairly quick and convenient. Definitely under 30 minutes total--especially if I'm already taking out the trash.
Yay! Free! What's your favorite place to get boxes? Clearly, I love liquor stores...boxes. 🤦🏼♀️
Local grocery stores and Dollar Tree!
Great info! I don't plan on moving anytime soon, but if I do I want to find a box with a cat in it! 🤣🐈
Does the Dollar Tree give out free boxes? Or do you pay for them there? I never have asked or looked there before!
Haha! That's hilarious. We can't have a box in our home open longer than 45 second before a cat hops in it. They're definitely a hot commodity.
@@AdultingwithEsther Free boxes from Dollar Tree. Just have to be there on the day before they break them down. Ask the manager when that is.
I get my boxes from Kroger or my Walgreens. I get carts full of them.😁
That's awesome! Way to be resourceful!
I started to type in google.. “where to get free boxes”
Then I thought, I bet there’s a video
And you were so right!

Egg carton boxes. Strong and come with handles
What a great suggestion!

Hey all- what about tv boxes? Any tips? Moving company wants to charge $49 for a tv box. What d heck!!
Well that's a huge box with weird dimensions

Dawwwww. Are you moving sometime soon, too!? I finally got to back these baddies up this weekend. Man, I'm glad I went dumpster diving lol
Liquor stores #1.
Haha, you too?
How much time would you estimate that it takes to go out and acquire free boxes?

You look so cute
Just BNN haha! Thanks!
Great advice but another safety tip might be wait till the covid crisis is over before you go dumpster diving or get boxes from strangers.
Haha solid point! I like to lysol my stuff. How do you clean things you buy at the store?
HEY PEOPLE STORES HAVE BOXES SHOUT IT TO THE HEAVENS BECAUSE NO ONE FUCKIN KNEW THAT
Thanks for watching!
