To the point Vids! Hi there, not much clogged up in the dual solenoid. I just reused the gasket that was there since it was still in place as for torque I just hand tighten and then tighten with my ratchet (didn’t really went with toque spec). I did a transmission flush and the transmission fluid was really bad and the transmission filter was also really bad (broken in pieces). I have both videos posted in case you want to go ahead and try it out. After the transmission fluid flush (2x flush- will do the 3rd flush) and transmission filter replacement it is much smoother at shifting. Best of luck.
I believe that was first and second. Third and 4th are on the front of the transmission. Same procedure but you need to remove the battery and the battery tray. Also the pressure control solenoids are on top of the transmission underneath the thermostat housing on the V6

I got a 2006 Acura TL 3.2L Automatic, same tranny, i cleaned the solenoid like you showed in this video but it still shifts hard from 1st to 2nd. Had a few hard shifts where the check engine came on and the D light on the dash started flashing. Any ideas?
@@miketompkins2568 I work in an auto shop but i’m a humble tire installer, i ran the code myself and it was P0784. Erased the code and ran the car for two weeks, keeps slipping when going from 1st to 2nd and slipping when going 2nd to 1st but no codes came back after I erased the initial.
Hi Bro, I guess I have the same issue with my accord 2007, V6 I have noticed some abnormally behavior while driving on the road, these jerks are quite noticeable while putting pressure acceleration, on high acceleration not, just want to clear some doubts. 1. Do you have check engine light or code? or you just cleaned it with no code. 2. After cleaning and reinstalling it might trigger a code/check engine? pls confirm 3. My car giving some sort of noise from this side the sounds like click click, this noise not appearing sometimes only.
Remember when cleaning parts always spray the part above the access cover that's removed .This way you won't get any containments on your shop towk or floor makes for easy cleanup.😂😂
My 2001 odyssey is having trouble from 1st to second gear, the rest are perfect, I did this, still the same issue. Unsure what to do now I replaced the transmission from a used one, it has the same problem, little better, but still the same problem

Have you done any automatic transmission fluid change? If not you should definitely check your fluid conditions and level- and add fluid if needed and/ or change it (bad condition). Best of luck.

Mine was leaking after put it back together yesterday nd i didnt clean the solenoid like scraping that stuff on the edge but today i did nd put permatex on it im bouta go outside and see if its still leaking plus yesterday my mechanic put it on nd didnt let set or nothing he just started it up right after re install?!?!?!

Did you replaced your transmission filter? Did you do more than 1-2x transmission flush? Did you clean all the solenoids? In my case, the transmission shifted improved prior to all the flushes, cleaning parts, and filter replacement. After doing all this work and transmission still jerking or slipping: your transmission must have been damaged inside

I have a 2003 pilot, when i put it in reverse i was getting a clank, but it would work, not it just sounds like grinding and i get no reverse movement. The car will move forward in D normally. Is this solenoid the problem, or something else? Thanks!

Need to clean out the old gasket, the orange thing, and put on a new one. Also there are THREE o-rings (in the three little holes) that need to be replaced.

I did actually I checked the oil level it looks fine but needs to be done like a tune the transmission oil doesn’t look red it looks more like brown so what I saw was and I new it it to be tune up

Hey, thanks for the video. I am hoping you could help me with an issue on my Honda Accord Euro 03 no one else has known the answer to: It has had a transmission issue the last 3 months. In D (automatic) it will not shift gears and will just rev when pressing accelerator. Only when I go into manual shift (M), I move from gears 1, to 2, and then it will finally drive on gear 3 when I move it through the M gears. So I assume the problem is with gears 2 and maybe 1 as they rev a lot when I press the accelerator but don't change gears. Which solenoid should I try changing to see if the issue is resolved? Thanks
Try what he did in this video. It is called a shift solenoid. If you have a v6 engine they are known to have bad transmissions (manual or auto) How many miles is on it and has the Trans fluid and filter ever been changed. If you have a 4cyl do the same and change the Transfluid and filter.
Is your a V6 or V4? This part number is 28250-P6H-024 and it’s called the Linear Solenoid or also known as the Dual Solenoid. I suggest changing the gasket and orings when you clean it I just did both my solenoids

Did the long tube have a filter too?

And don't forget to put the screens back in DRIPPING with MAF cleaner, Honda transmissions LOVE contaminated ATF fluid

Maybe it was not properly installed and not tighten up. It shouldn’t have to take gasket maker on it. Best of luck.

Issues yes. OEM always works best. But it doesn't hurt to try and see if after market hurts. Just remove aftermarket if they don't work.
What's ur issue. I have an element which clunks from P to Reverse.

Why didn’t you replace the gasket???
Spraying over the opening only puts the gunk back in the transmission
The air filter needs to be washed dried and re-oiled not thrown away and replaced....wash it and save $50 on a new K&N filter.

Oiled filters = filthy intake and filthy throttle body...ask me how i know
Be careful leave the pliers on a hot battery. You clean K&N filters not replace them.
You know most people are smart enough to disconnect the battery and remove it in situations like this

Or if you have time and have an lkq close bye just grab another Trans for about 300 and slide it in

I did the fluid change about 2x and waited about 2-3 weeks in between. I hope this helps- the previous owner did not maintain the transmission 😬

Is your a V6 or V4? This part number is 28250-P6H-024 and it’s called the Linear Solenoid or also known as the Dual Solenoid. The ones you are talking about is Solenoid A and Solenoid B Assembly in this video th-cam.com/video/njpEED6OVW0/w-d-xo.html
