To me the best player I've ever heard, for whatever that matters. There are some really nice and usable advices and life lessons. The relevance of emotion in music to convince an audience. Praise more than criticize and think from the other's standpoint. Taking your profession serious and not cutting slack there, being that dedicated, is usable every profession. That should not mean you perfect everything around you i.m.o. But I understand the meaning of it regarding work attitude.
    Hope his hand stays manageable.

    What a great human being...
Once I saw him in Ft Lauderdale in a very small venue.....after, he came around and seemed like such a regular guy....he was shaking hands...some people said hey Steve come to our table have a beer or a drink...party with us....he politely said thank you but I don't party.
One of the best Guitarist in the world and no ego...just a regular guy...he took photos with everyone , answers questions...I met rock stars who were very egotistical and walked fast past the fans in order to avoid them...sure these rock were great in their own right but never had even half the talent or ability that Steve Morse has.
The only other rock star that I met that was humble, down to earth and a regular guy was Chris Squire..

A deeply evocative interview of a one of a kind player. Startling in candour, a tonic in comparison to the typical superficial guitar media stock interviews. If was compelled to compile my top three "Dessert Island Discs" of interviews with musicians, without hesitation, this would be my first pick. Thank-you Steve and thank-you Craig.

One of the nicest legends I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Very down to earth and dare I saw "normal"......not to mention just a freak of nature as a player : )

James, you don't know the half of it... he was SO incredibly kind to me, and has been equally kind if some brief post interview conversations we had. Steve is really a first class human being. Thanks for listening man :-)

Craig...you're a great interviewer and I've enjoyed many of your interviews with various guitar personalities of interest to me but this one is one of my favorite interviews you've done! Steve Morse's perspectives on how he approaches being the best version of himself every day as a guitarist, a musician, a pilot, a husband, a father...a human being floored me and left with indelible life lessons that I hope I will internalize and take away with me. That was ace! Thank you for airing this broadcast. and thank you to Steve Morse for being so open book with his thoughts and his experiences.

Craig delivers the goods again! Fantastic interview with not only a great guitar player but an even greater human being. I learned a lot about myself listening to Steve and plan to make some changes. Also, thanks for asking about Steve's hand issues and how he overcomes it to continue playing. I took away some good advice there as well. Keep them coming.

I have scoured TH-cam for some player to breakdown a Morse song and I have never found anyone to do it which says Steve Morse is the hardest guy to figure out. I've seen him four times in concert and after every show, except with Purple, he'll change into another shirt and come down and sign autographs or answer questions. If you ever get a chance to see the Dregs or the SMB-go! Steve is the nicest guy you'll ever meet.

What's up with Steve "disappearing" after the Purple gigs? Are the other guys afraid Steve will soak up too much of the fan adulation if they let him come out for the post show mingling? I don't know if it's true, but someone claimed that it's in his contract that he makes himself scarce. Doesn't exactly motivate me to seek out Deep Purple shows to attend. 🤷‍♂️

Playing too much is unnatural and takes it's toll eventually........Incredible guitar player...so sad to hear about his hands giving him probs...I suppose going left handed is out of the question considering he's a southpaw like Gary Moore /Knopflor etc...food for thought?
