How many can the standard mag hold And how many does the extended mag hold if available I’m really debating on getting this one
@@mrdopeyalvarez6194 The mag holds 9rnds.I haven't seen an extended mag for it. Pro-Mag makes mags but I hear they aren't worth buying

Nice! I wonder how the aluminum framed Deagle would handle over the steel frame for .357? If I was doing .44 or 50AE I think I'd want a steel frame but I never had an issue with recoil on a few snubbie .357's... I want one so bad! 😁
I have both and honestly I don't feel any difference between them aside from the weight. Get what you like!

I am in the market for a 357 magnum Desert eagle myself. From what I have been able to gather from forums; the .357 mag. Version is very picky about its ammunition, it tends to jam (FTF) with cheaper ammo.
Social Ghost just run what I ran for range ammo and you should be good. Yeah, it has a specific list of ammo that you should follow.
Yep just try the recommended ammo and you'll be good to go. Most 158s run fine in mine it's only picky on some 125s.Its been very reliable actually, I've put 500 rnds thru it. Get one bro you won't be disappointed. I've wanted one for as long as I can remember and got one awhile back and still haven't quit smiling.

I don't think they make em in .357 Mag anymore. Not cheap, that is for sure but still fun to shoot with virtually no recoil.

My country ( Thailand ) is difficult to get .357 magnum caliber and also this model of desert eagle pistal is very expensive approx. 5,500 - 6,000 USD. for brand new.

I do like to shoot mine but very finicky with ammo. Parts and magazines are also next to impossible to procure.
The ammo I tested with was recommended in the instruction manual but I have heard they are picky with ammo at times. Yeah, I can see parts being an issue.
Can the 357 magnum shoot the .38 special round aswell (using the same magazine) , i know the 357 revolver can use a .38 special round.

That's correct. I tried it and the slide doesn't even move. You can shoot it with 38 but it turns it into a single shot

@@bunnaydawg2864 Man the more I think about it the cooler that sounds. An online friend of mine built a suppressed 50ae desert eagle that reliably runs subsonic but it's still loud. Your suggestion would definitely be quiet.
this caliber in this pistol is the best for personal defence in the street or in a w4r in my opinion. sorry for my english Im learning 2 weeks ago.

So you basically grip it like a revolver because of the slide. Is that correct?
I do a thumbs forward two hand grip not really a tea cup grip. Seems like on this pistol I had my left hand a bit lower due to the pistols ergonomics.

Ive owned the .44 De. After sending 25 rounds through it. Would not chamber. Would get hung up and not fully reload next round. Had to field dress it more then I shot it. Definitely a novelty gun. Would not bet my life on it.
Were you using the brand and grain weight of ammo specified in the instruction manual? I know it shouldnt matter but mine ran ok for the most part. I had 2 FTEs for a box of 25 rounds.
@@travisp11 to much powder on the .44 got ammo from walmart Remington 189 grain or something like that. It was under 200 but not by much.
@@travisp11 paid 1886.00 for it new. Sold it for 1200.00 lost money but gun is just not reliable. Sig is the way to go.

I think I would like wouldn't mind having a desert eagle 357 and older made model though! Just hope it shoots a bit cheap not but too cheap 357 ammo! Hoping for a series 70/80 colt 1911 45 but no big deal if i can't!

Iooks like American eagle 357 158gr ammo has lead bullets, List says avoid lead bullets, I am confused
I was using the same ammo specified in the manual that came with the firearm. That have a specific list of what to use and what not to.

@@travisp11 Not a big kick once fired, but one hell of a fire show. I'm having issue hitting the bulls eye since I have a tendency to tilt my head to the right and all my shots are hitting far right.

Got a buddy out here in NM he's 6'8" he carrys a 357 desert eagle due to the size of his hand as his duty pistol shot his pistol a few times great gun can't afford one tho

Kendrik Doughty I don’t think there is a “best” 357 ammunition will be the cheaper of the three so you can shoot that one more. However, if I had to get one, I’d go 44. That way if you decide to want to go 50ae, all you have to do is swap barrel and have a 50ae mag. .44 also cheaper than 50ae
I want one in 357 magnum with a 44 barrel. I never shot the 50cal but to me just seems like to much recoil and just a cool factor to have one. I have a few 44 magnum revolvers and think the recoil is not bad at all. Does anybody like having and shooting the 50 cal Desert Eagle?

Robert E Lee it has a very specific list of ammo to run through it on the IWi website.
I would assume that it fires 38s. But i doubt it will cycle them.
@@darrellgardner4561 Ya it jus turns it into a single shot. Just make sure they're copper jacketed, lead clogs the gas system really quick and it's hard to clean out

I really wanted to get this gun but I've seem to many videos where it failed to feed several times to expensive for a unreliable gun magnum research has got to no about this and should.fix it or stop selling it
There is a specific ammo list for this gun and I have had pretty good luck with it so far.
I feed it all the reco ammo. Still fails ALL THE TIME. I now have a $2000 paper weight
@@Tylerross1080 Man that sux! I've put 500rnds thru mine with only a few FTF issues with 125gr.s 158gr PMC bronze works great outta mine. There's a desert eagle forum and a few guys on there are Eagle wizards maybe they could help ya diagnose the problem with yours

Failure to feed is chronic with this weapon. I just bought one. I hate it. Mag research has zero customer service. BUYER BEWARE!!

@@travisp11 yes. I tried every type of ammo they recommend. Couldnt get through 1 mag without failure. I sent it back to magnum retards 2 times. They finally sent me a new gun after 3 months. I cant stress how disappointed I am with them.
