What is your prediction? Will 2024 be dry? Normal? Or wet?
Praying for at least "Normal", and hoping for "wet". But, I guess you just deal with the hand the good Lord gives you?
Abnormally dry but hope for wet
Hopefully wet ish normal
Definitely
We are getting drowned in our area of western Idaho
Thanks for another great video Welkers. It was interesting.
First of all. Nice job Scott on cleaning up the shop. Sometimes we need to do things like that. All of you have been busy so the shop kind of gets to the back of the list. Good job Scott. Shop looks great.
Second. I absolutely enjoyed spending time with Bob on cleaning grain for seed for the 2024 seeding. Thanks to Bob for explaining the process and how the Welkers do it. Interesting on the difference of cleaning peas and wheat. I learned a lot from Bob on this difference and the process. Plus got in on some of his puns, enjoyed that Bob. I look at Bob being the architect for the Welker operation and most enjoyable when the “”boss “” explains things. Thanks Bob for your time and teaching us the why’s and where’s of the way you do things. Much appreciated!!!!!!!
Your trailer trade looks good. Nice looking grain trailer for the 2024 harvest time. And got it on a trade so good going.
Seems everyone has been busy with house building plus the farming operation. Takes time to catch up every once in a while. Hang in there Welkers.
About it I guess. Thanks for the video. As I believe you had time to visit the case IH combine manufacturing plant. That would have been most interesting.
Thanks for everything Welkers. May god watch over you all and bring moisture for the coming year. You all be safe and take care.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
😊👋🌲🙏🇺🇸
Thanks again Steve! We always look forward to your comments!
Scott & Nick your Dad is amazing and boys brace your self for what is coming in 2024......Thank all of you and GOD BLESS y'all ✝ 👍
Old F-4 2 Shoe🇺🇸
God bless!
Considering those noise levels, I'd like to suggest you all start using ear protection. Maybe Case IH has some branded ones?
HUH, what you say?
Wouldn’t want case ear protection. Just one more thing that’ll break down
@@joshwagner5414screw you but I still got a chuckle
J.D has some and my case break down just like 🦌.
J.D has some and my case break down just like 🦌.
The Nick and Scot sketch was great! Brothers...enjoyable with humor... always!
My chickens would love all those dried grasshoppers. Bag them up and sell them.
nice to see all the freebees Cases gives you guys
Mr Welker. Never get's old seeing you explain things. Even if you've done it in the past.
The bad dad jokes just keep coming 😂😂😂
Yes, Robert Welker is a poet & he doesn't even know it!
Keep them coming my funny farming friend.
Leg Arms! You just this minute taught this central Illinois 64 year old woman what the hole in the front bumper of a semi is for! Alllll these years I never knew THAT was for your foot! Who knew? 🤷🏼♀️
Thank you!
pretty sure I have watched all your videos, many several times. Do not recall at 5:10 when those bins with cement round footings where put in. Will go over the older videos and try and find when. Thanks for all your time and effort producing such great content. Chuckle how reluctant Scott was at the very beginning of filming series , now just enjoy his words of wisdom.
Thank you all and Mr Welker...thank you for the inuendo's
Mr. Welker, you are the brains of the outfit, both historically and knowledgeability wise. You’re a great head of the clan. I’m sure you treat your grandkids very special. That’s the kind of man I think you are. But, your jokes are, well, dad jokes.
You do such a great job with these videos. All three of you. Thanks !
Glad you like them!
An extra semi trailer is far more useful than the drive over dump machine especially since you no longer use it, what a great deal & also an excellent example of farmers bartering initiative, good to see some of the old methods haven't all been forgotten.
Now they need another new semi tractor to pull it.
Great video Bob LegArms and Nick
You guys “clean up” rather nicely! Love the branded goodies too!!
God Bless you guys.
How about folks favorite videos. My first would be a year ago getting the pea cleaner out for the first tests, Think it was - Pea Cleaner Reveal. Next would be the insane sprayer nigh light video's, these should be used by the company you got the system from. Just over the top great. Thanks to you all for taking the effort to post these.
This tech CUT our COSTS by 90%!
Really cool how your operation is able to take some of your previous crop and use it for next season
It looks like you got some much needed moisture with that snow. I pray that you have a successful and safe 2024. God bless.
Ok Nick, be quiet and take my money! That generator would look great under the Christmas tree. Take care and God bless!
Glad God provided the farm with moisture. Bob that cleaning job sure has its ups & downs. Glad to FINALLY get the shop cleaned Scott.
Should do a 24 hours of Welker Farms.
It’s always interesting at your farm. Thanks for taking the time to share with us. 😊
hey boys get a pin punch pop a hole in the filter and let it also drain clean hands in your future great work
Good Trade
good day to you all the Welker family.Scott how is all the heat pipes working in the new home.I know you put a lot of work into the heating system.take care.👍👍
Alright… Love to see some old school shop cleaning …. Appreciate you documenting the the ingenuity and what hard work can accomplish on the farm
I have been following you Welker chaps since Leg arms broke his arm fixing the Big Bud drawbar. It has been an interesting time and I don't miss many. It concerns me that you don't seem to get enough rain and crops struggle because of that. Here in the UK we do not have that problem at the moment, quite the reveres in fact. So I have come up with a trade you may like, if you arrange the transport, we will willingly give you boat loads of the stuff. Keep sending the videos guys, having been in farming all my life it's good to see life at your side of the pond. 👍
When I worked at Flexi-Coil during the summer of 1962, one of the workers would say to every trucker, "More bock Awn-dy." That meant back up a bit more Andy. You see, it was Andy Transport after all. Your reference to the grain cleaners made reference to Andy. It caused me to recall that memory. 😊
Welker Farms never lacks for something to do.
A clean shop feels so good!!!
I’d pay to ride with Dad for a day just to talk how we did it in the day!!
let the dad jokes flow!!!
life of a famer you guys are great
Great to hear that you had a bit of pre-freeze fall moisture.
Great video Scott.. really enjoyed watching
Be sweet to see another IH Eagle. Maybe polish up the dump truck and put a 5th wheel on it for that newsed trailer.
A beautiful bin site now & getting bigger
Best of luck in the future
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you and your families hope it rains good this next year!
Interesting to say the least,,, liked the Timelapse of the trailer emptying. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😃😃😃
Glad you enjoyed it!
@RobertWelker I have my Welker’s Farm ornament at the top of the tree right under the Angel. It reminds me every year to be thankful for the farmers.
I’ve moved on from canning to candy making! Merry Christmas!
Awesome video guys. Stay safe. 🚜🚜🚜
I hope you would have a soaking wet season 2024 and moisture for your crop to grow. Keep up the good work Welkers and greetings from the long time fan of you from Finland. 🙏❤
Great video!
That was very interesting to see how and why you clean the seeds. Have a very Merry Christmas!
I have one on my shelf! Makes a nice addition
MERRY XMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE WELKERS
Congratulations...awesome to hear ya had some left over!
Finally a farming vid
More to come! House videos will be slowing down for a while
Awesome video
Thanks!
Just from experience, drive a punch into the bottom of the oil filter before you pull the drain plug on semis, so it drains and no spillage down the sides of the filter.
Keep up the awesome work!!
The Dad jokes are the best!
Hey guys.... Is there a way you can give a rundown on how many bushels you cleaned up for planting vs. how many you harvested total for the year on different grains? I think it would be interesting to see the scale of what you have to move, store, and then ultimately haul off to the seller etc.....
Merry Christmas guys hope you get your seed sorted before it snows to bad good luck 👍
Merry Christmas!
I would really love to see and whole day of things you to for each of you.
Blessing
I find this video clean, Very conveying 😁
Yeah, I'm all in for clean weed! 😁😁😜😜
My 'Yankee" brothers (lol) have a blessed season with the fam...love ya'll...God Bless
PS Scott I have the cube of shavings on a shelf by my computer!!!!! My son happily lol-ed when I showed him
Scott, clean the shop! Lol
Wilson!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a good merch idea will be put some wheat in those cubes
Nick can never fire Leg Arms now. He cleaned the shop......
Package 📦 is on the way
Nick clean the shop
Bob has really stepped up his puns
Hey Nick, CaseIH sells branded filters too! Plus, your CaseIH dealer is probably an all makes Fleetguard filter dealer too!
BELT GAURD NEEDED!!!!
I want to see all of the background work
We’ll include more in future videos!
With all the grasshoppers, maybe y'all should do a little hopper farm and sell them to anglers?
I can see sometime in the future an indoor solution to have the seed processing, Bob!? 😊
Great to see de WEG brand in those red eletric motors in the bin... as a brasilian myself see brasilian brand outside brazil is always cool...
Nice Vid!
Thanks!
I’d you made a pretty good trade!
yup i saw the little Wagner in the back shot miss this little beauty ,, Leg Harms you need to do somthing with her
Bob did Colby tell santas helper what he wanted for christmas?
Hollywood definitely did some acting 🤣
Almost commercial quality
U should put "fireman's poles to the top of those silos so U can just slide down lol
In the video, you said the generator is a 1,200 watt. You should have said 12,000 watt.
I would pay more, for a ride along. From St.Paul,Minnesota.
Normal
Bet in the old days they had trouble cleaning peas
Hiiiii
Being a MN farm boy, just have to look. Is there a way for you guys to clean peas before they go in the bin? Growing up, we ran our soybeans through a screener before going into a bin.
It is too soon to start over. Take a break. Go to Can Cun and lay a warm beach for a week.
Nick clean the the shop. 😅
Sounds to me like Bob said do you know who I am and took the bins.
Black eyed peas can sing us a song. Chickpeas can hummus one.
Gotta give you a hard time and ask when are you going to finish cleaning ceiling in shop 😃
New trailer, new truck? It'd be neat to see an old COE
I see have tire off the wheel on trailer back right
What’s your alls moisture looking like are you getting any rain?
What do you do with the all grain that spills out from the bins and the augers? And the weather will be Normal next year.
Are you ever going to fix the other Dodge grain truck it be cool to see them old kings running together
He he. You don't need to be growing grasshoppers!!
Curious why you didn’t use your own cleaner?
So is that wet snow good for the that winter wheat you put in the ground recently?
Seems like a good trade for everyone, especially in this economy. Just curious if you sold your grain cleanings to a local pig farmer or if you just threw it out? I know when I was in high-school we had a bunch of bad grain on the farm so for my FFA project i done pigs for a couple years and by the time i finished I had a few thousand hogs. If i didn't have all that bad grain i know it would've been nice to get something like this from guy's around the valley.
what are all those new rings by the bin site....
How do you guys sustain a farm in such an arid climate? Shelby has an average precipitation (including melted snow) of 12". Here in Greenville, NC, we get an average precipitation of 50".
