As both an artist and (attempted) writer myself, this makes me sooo giddy. I feel kinda lucky I can draw my own characters… BUT I COULD NAME SOOOO MANY I’D LOVE TO DRAW THEM FOR ME. In a way, with each style, it’s kinda like seeing the character in a slightly different reality. Some are darker and more expressive, others are swoon worthy or adorable. It’s amazing, really
i do the same but i could never commit to finishing the artwork because they never look quite right, probably because my style leans toward mildly cartoony and the image in my head is just realism 😭 pinterest models are kinda just my friend in this case, but even then since i write fantasy sometimes i still can never find exactly what i want.
@@renoirrr oh dude it get you so much there 😭 I mostly draw more towards realism these days, so now I struggle with more anime like styles. Yesss, Pinterest is great like that. Ends up getting me in a doomscroll mode tho haha
As a writer (and a super new doodler) myself, trust me, the majority of people LOOOOOOVE real artists far over AI! The personality and effort that go into a piece is incredible, and there's always a lot more *humanity* in real art that AI can never replicate. (AI is so bizarrely cookie-cutter. All the same.) I'm always impressed to see what people can create, and to watch the progress!

As an artist, I loved to see this. It's neat to see someone who can't draw their own book characters see their babies brought to life in art. It's amazing really. Now I wanna have someone draw my characters even though I can draw them myself.
as an artist i am SO glad you did not just resort to using ai images. i see many writers do it and it sucks honestly, so seeing a writer actually respect artists feels refreshing
Also, ai images are just ugly. I’m sorry but I just do not trust things that use ai images. I wished we had a policy where you have to always mention its ai everytime you use it or else you get fined or something because theres so much ai now. From drawings to literal music.
I only use it for my own personal documents to visualize my characters. Not all of us have the time or skill to draw, or the money to pay for comissions. I see no issue so long as people don’t share it or pass it off as their own.

I dont like the pics thay you gave them lol. There's not much diversity in the AI app that you use and everyone looks the same (sharp jawline, same eyes ect.) And the pinterest stuff doesnt give too much I dont know... I wouldve gave more description than pic. Because description gives more, well, specific description. Like you can have your characters based on your book and what you wrote about them, rather than what YOU expect them to look like. Like another comment mentioned, Jazza is a perfect example
For having something with AI it can actually be complicated. Because it require very precise description, long etc. We can have a result, but you have not the result you want that easly.
I love seeing this❤❤❤ artists deserve so much for what they do cause of all this new technology an backwards thinking corporations have its hard out there for artists. So it's cool seeing people be legitimately happy an excited to see what an artist does
