    Very few plates at a Mexican restaurant grab your attention like a plate of sizzling fajitas. First you hear it, then you smell it…then you wish you ordered that platón instead of the chicken enchiladas.
    In this video we’re cooking up Restaurant Style Fajitas. I decided to grab some outside skirts for maximum tenderness, but beware when shopping for them. This particular cut goes fast in stores as restaurants demand such large quantities of it. Either side of skirt will have you eating good either way.
    And here is the weekly Pro Tip: Don’t over cook them! Common sense, I know, but you would be surprised how easy these can get away from you. Both the scorching plancha and the sizzling platter can keep the fajitas cooking even more and dry out what would otherwise be delicious and tender meat. Shoot for a medium or even medium-rare before you plate it on skillet to serve.
    I always say that BBQ is simple, and although we aren’t on a live fire today the principles still apply. A scorching hot heat source, a great cut of beef and a little technique is all it takes for a dinner that will blow away any one who is lucky enough to chow down.

    I won’t eat fajitas in restaurants ever. They give way too little and charge is ridiculous. I made this, and was way better than eating out! Keep up great videos.

      I agree. People are boycotting brisket because of the prices.
      A single order of fajitas here in central Oklahoma go as high as $32 a plate.
      Fortunately not all restaurants have gone this high.

    Man, that looks good. There’s a Mexican family that bought a small business a half mile up the road from me. Her food is so good that they had to add on to the place just so there would be enough room for people to eat, then I think they added on again. Now, they just made the parking lot bigger and repaved it to make even more room. I always get carry out as I live a minute or two away and it’s always just as good as eating inside. Her food tastes so fresh and her fajitas look just like yours (in my opinion, just simple with fresh ingredients). The place has only been around maybe 5 years now but it’s well known in my area.

      If it’s a good restaurant it’s not really crazy expensive. Probably around $40. Cheaper than a high end steak house. Doing it at home can be messy with splatter in the kitchen. Personally I like feeling lazy and order a few margaritas at the restaurant. Of course if you live in an area where there’s no high quality restaurant fajitas, there’s no choice but to make it at home.

      If its for family home fajitas are great, but depends on the occasion- for speed and no cleanup- especially if you find a good traditional start-up. At least where I am - $25 gets you nearly 2 meals (with the leftovers). for on the go

    Great video. You're so right about one thing - whenever I'm in a Mexican restaurant and I hear the sizzling fajitas come out, I instantly wish I'd ordered them instead!! There's just nothing like that sizzling sound!

    Please everyone, do not give your dog fajitas unless you remove the peppers and onions as they are toxic for dogs, but the meat, yeah, they will love it! Looks SO good!

      @jennifertaveras4847 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes thank you! Garlic is also toxic to most dogs so I like to suck on the meat a little if I used garlic powder on it. :)

    This looks amazing. I like to add a little chopped Chipotle peppers and a squeeze of lime juice to some sour cream, and top my fajitas with that.

    I absolutely love your excitement about the food you cook! That means it’s going to be delicious! Please don’t overcook my fajita meat! There are very few restaurants that cook that meat to perfection! The ones that do have my business for life!

    I’ve never had fajitas in Mexico;
    It’s a South Western dish attributed to Mexican Americans in the U.S, the closest is a “picado” cooked in tomatillo sauce.
    Besides that it’s a great dinner option; that Mexicans will actually enjoy unlike other Tex mex recipes.

    I love you Uncle Arnie I found you today. I love Mexican food the same way I love Carribean food. Mexicans are so connected to Carribean's. I see a lot of similarities with our cultures. I have to travel to find an Authentic Mexican restaurant. I love how the spice makes my eyes watery. I love all Mexican food I'm not picky is Carribean's love to eat😂😂😂
