In all honesty copyrighted is copyrighted, it should be illegal when it comes to this. One needs to stop being a cheapsket and take their ass down to Nintendo and get a license for Authenticity on repros
I think repros are a great alternative for folks looking for an affordable way to display their collection. The game itself is what's most important anyhow, the box is just a display piece so I say go with whatever works best for you.
Subbed! Great tips and relevant info. I'll definitely be checking out more of your videos! Also, I think its the one on the left, the real one. The size of the "Licensed By" and some of the other icons / logos look a bit wrong on the one on the right. Ooof, you caught me. I can't believe Nintendo made the text that small, lol.
On eBay recently, I bought a mega man X complete inbox and the box is just unnaturally glossy. The guy swears up and down that it’s legitimate but he’s letting me return it. I have a few other super Nintendo games and none of them are this glossy. Does anyone know if the MegaMan X box is particularly glossy?
I have had a couple of reproduction snes case and n64 off etzy, and to be honest these reproductions are getting so good now it’s really hard to tell.

The right is the real box. The left is too dark and looks newer.
Awesome vid! Subbed! 👏🏼👏🏼

I have started looking for banged up and discolored cartridge games as a way of making sure it’s really from 30 years ago
The right is real because I can read the cyan text, and the grey text one is not easy to read. I remember the blue ink on boxes.
My rule is if it comes in a cardboard box, I’m fine with just the cart.

as things start to degrade repro boxes will be the way of collecting without living in an acrylic tomb
custom cases are the way im starting to head
Etsy offers a mixed bag of results
Always check the inside if it’s not real cardboard and if there is no wear always a red 🚩 also there is a feel to them.
Strangely I only do repro boxes on late genesis. Sega ran out of clams in 94 or 95.
That’s not strange at all. And you explained exactly why! 😂
@@Bowaflex well usually those releases are in bad shape. I think I only have 3. I see your point though.
We all have enough games to last the rest of our lives...why keep buying stuff u dont need, especially when u risk buying fake shit...no thanks
Buy whatever you can afford.
Left is fake. The red is not right and the colors are too saturated. It is a good repro though.
Genesis game shell are the greatest
Okay I clicked on the video to find out how to spot the fake not listen to your monologue
both are fakes
