Cycling On Dartmoor Granite Way & Military Road

- This time we are in Dartmoor National Park In Devon cycling the moor. We hired some e-bikes from 'Devon Cycle Hire' in Sourton near to Okehampton. We started on 'The Granite Way' a dedicated cycle path & then took the steep road up to the millitary camp & onto the high moor.
£5.60 for two teas.....*faints* 😵
I know. I usually ask how much but this time just ordered the two teas without thinking about the price but just thought it wouldn't be too expensive.

It wasn't too bad for me as I cycle to work everyday but Michelle found it a bit hard going as she walks for 30 mins to work everyday but hasn't been on a bike for a while. All good fun though. 🙂

Love devon cycle hire was it expensive martin?god its been years since i done this dont laugh i cycled all way from brixham and back on my mountain bike,was alot younger now.i joined countryside trust were i live they keep paths nice and clear!end of may,was wondering why got alot layers on.nice water stop,what a cute bus sheltar.loveing this ride martin bring back memories.i find it very soothing,love the jubilee dummy,they have loads them in my old village blackawton"dont go out after midnight" 😱 😱.love the prison@church st pet £5.60 cup tea 😱.meldon my fav the views are stunning martin.🍌 🍌.i would love cycle as rain y fav,only prob it all goes up your back,i used wear wetsuit to cycle once lol.bet the tea they serve is not £5.60 for the soldiers lol.loved this martin debs xx 🤗
Hi Debs. Glad you enjoyed video. We had a great day cycling everywhere. It cost us £30 per bike for the whole day which I thought was good value...unlike the two cups of tea for £5.60. Lol.
£5.60 for water and 2 tea bags😳 Everywhere now prices are going through the roof, I was in Whitby a couple of weeks ago and it was either £13, £15, of £17 for a small, medium of large fish n chips, which always used to be a cheap meal - not now! I used to love my mountain bike but ended up selling it as I was always getting flat tyres, which used to drive me mad. To be fair that looked a great path and I am assuming you were both on E-bikes, which I have looked at by man they are pricey mind. Loved the church and what a brilliant place to stop for a cup of tea, despite the price. Shame about the rain but a good idea to have hired the bikes, cheers Alan
I know. I was shocked mate. I didn't ask the price .I just ordered the two teas thinking it wouldn't be too expensive. Never mind eh. At least it helps with local economy. Lol. The bikes were E-bikes & they were very good. We were too scared to use the battery because we thought it would run out too early but when we got back we hadn't even used a quarter. I don't think I would buy one though. Just hire them now & then. They were only £60 for both for the whole day. Cheers Alan. 🙂

It was indeed nice and green Martin. What a color to be riding with. Some really cool history - you wouldn't want to be banged up with all that Dartmoor beauty nearby. And it sure was beautiful and windless. Well, good going. A fabulous ride. Mark
