    Bit of a shame about the uni-gear bladder, never mind Trev at least you were honest about it, some you-tubers would not have mentioned it.......nice walk and good to see your family again.......cheers...Stu..

    Beautiful part of the Moor...this was the area my Dad and I camped when I was a kid...and I’ve been going back ever since...never tire being there.
    I have never got on with water bladders of any description...give me a screw top any day of the week😊👍🏻
    P.S Another great vid btw👍🏻

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, no where quite like Dartmoor. I hear ya about the water bladders. After days of rinsing with bicarb of soda the bloody thing still tasted like tcp too. Thanks for watching!

    Another goodun Trev, those water bladders are going further down my list of hiking kit.. After this vid I will probably never get one. Keep it up, your Vids are something to look forward to on a Sunday night... And the odd midweek review.... Beautiful family mate...

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I've tried the bladders twice now, not that impressed myself. The bloody thing still tasted like chemicals even after cleaning it through all week. Cheers for watching!

    Enjoyable video and timing just right because planning to walk it next week. Shame about the water carrier but the connections seem the weak points of the bladders. Good to see the rest of the family like walking.

    You're right up my alley dude. I'm trying to do some hiking vids and I covered those particular Tors too. Not as good production quality as you, just trying to get my Dad hiking after his hip operation. We're trying to do a South-North "Western Line" of Tors along Dartmoor's west boundary. Hopefully will manage High Willhays at some point!
    Enjoying watching a few of your vids! :)

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds great - its one of my favourite areas (that and Merrivale) - although worth checking High Willhays (highest point south of the Brecon Beacons) its sister tor Yes Tor is far more impressive, so check that whilst youre up there. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your own blogs! Hope your dad makes a speedy recovery!

    • @Destro7000
      @Destro7000 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't it seem weird how High Willhays is sort of always 'hidden' behind Yes Tor from most of the vantage points along the road from Okehampton down to south Devon? It's like it's hiding behind its sibling. Still would like to reach both! -And thanks, I hope he does too.

    Nice one, I've done the full route Plympton to Barnstaple/Braunton in stages. It's well worth it, but the best section is Lydford to Plympton...though Plympton isn't great, in my humble opinion.

      Yea it was a shame but lucky I was close enough to base camp to swap it out. I was almost at At Ives on a remote stretch of the SWCP. That would have been a nightmare. Cheers for watching,Max

    Those water bladder things are pretty pointless for walkers. I can see their use if you are a fell runner or sea kayaker but if you do other activities like walking, climbing or underground exploration, you might as well just pack a good water bottle and take a glug now and again. I've got a new one I've been given and I can't wait to pass it on to some other mug! They're just a pointless gimmick as far as I'm concerned, like a lot of outdoor gear that the manufacturers tell us are a 'must have'!
