    A fabulous day and journey.

    I really missed not getting to Devon with my bike last year (and probably this year, too) due to Covid. I've done the Tarka Trail several times & also the bit round Petrockstow / Sheepwash, etc - check out my bike ride videos on my channel. Somewhat hilly once you get off the Tarka Trail! Excellent cuppa and cake at the Puffing Billy although I suspect it's not open at the moment?

    Love the Tarka Trail Harvey 👍 If your ever up there again, try to incorporate the Petrockstowe to Meeth part of the trail, instead of turning off to Sheepwash on the Route 27. Recommend it as it's a lovely winding path through some lovely woods. My favourite part of the trail 👍

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dean, it’s been many years since I last rode the tarka trail and I did ride too Meeth as the car was parked there then. But I did regret not going that way again this time because like you say it’s so beautiful riding Through the trees. Many thanks for watching and happy riding, stay safe. 👍🏻🚴🏻‍♂️😃

    Hi I think your vlogs are great. I would like to ride the tarka trail from Barnstable to meeth then to Exeter and on to Paignton, but am new to using starva and also have a wahoo. I am having trouble working the maps out - may I ask what you put into starva to get the tarka trail map on it.

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James Hill , Hi I don’t use Strava for map or route planning, I prefer to use ride with gps, it free and has a fantastic interface. Route planning is easy with all the OSM cycle mapping. Just simply pair the wahoo app and Strava to rwgps and when you finish planning your route press save and it will automatically go to your wahoo with all the turn by turn navigation, it’s great. Take care and enjoy the tarka trail,Thanks for watching and happy riding. 👍🏻🚴🏻‍♂️😀

    Hi Harvey, strange question but I have just brought a new Giant defy advanced pro2 last week and wend out Friday and Saturday with mates I always ride with. I had a terrible time and not sure if it was me, the bike or what but I was between 15 and 20 min behind them on our stops as I just could not get anything out of the bike all I seem to do was spin like a mad man and get know where. when you got your Giant did it take any time to get used to it or did you as I was expecting just get on it and ride just as well as any other bike you had been on?

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trade Balustrade, that’s very strange you experiencing that amount of spin, I personally didn’t have any problems like that, I went from my race bike to this Endurance bike and never had any difficulties. But in fact, once I changed my wheels to dt Swiss and my tyres to GP 5000 I was smashing PRs everywhere, are gearing is much the same so I’m at a loss. Maybe it’s just about set up, saddle etc, I do wish you well, keep In touch thanks for watching and happy riding 👍🏻🚴🏻‍♂️😀
