It’s not even close relative to Bron being in the picture. Him being placed #2 distorts the whole ranking because we all know Bron not better than Kobe, Kareem, Magic, or Bird. Bron is Karl Malone…just a guy that played a long time and mastered how to get 25 a night.

U R absolutely correct regarding Bron, IMO....Like Malone, Bron found a way score 25 to 27 pts per game for 20 seasons. The difference between the two, is that alot of Bron's points are garbage time points. He became a stat padder and he doesn't play any defense @masculinitymatters9030

Kareem is not undisputed number 2 even after retiring in the 80's he wasn't seen as the goat or number 1. because people know Magic was the engine that gave Kareem his extended lifeline in the NBA. Looking at the end of 70's entering the 80's Kareem is 1 chip with 5 or so MVP's with his 6th on the crutch of the 80's 6 mvp's and 1 chip is not a person who people view as the goat. Then Magic entered in the 80's and gave him his second chip, then 3 more chips. But he was never the MVP caliber player that he was in the 70's. Hence Magic and Bird was held at a higher rank than him in that period of time. Seriously Kareem is put in the Goat debate because of Lebron and his need to top someone due to his longevity accomplishment. Longevity was never held in a standard of goat even once in the past but now they are using it so Lebron can make it his step stool for the debate where Kareem is number 2 and Lebron overtaking him. Giving him the right to be next to MJ for the Goat debate. Basically think of this like if you step on the known number 2 then the only one left is the number 1. and that's why they put Kareem in number 2 someone Lebron can challenge using his Longevity numbers.

Yes, there is, but it requires objective evidence to support it, but your species prefers the subjective comfort and vagueness of the "Eye Test." I get it. It works, and it allows your breed and stock to play word and definition games and to constantly move the goal post when you don't like the angle above the horizontal from which the ball was kicked. Comfort zones or not only for Orwellian dystopians. Conceptual Gerrymandering is a good strategy in word wars and "all is fair in love and war." There is no limit to what's necessary to achieve your kinds' ends. Simply put: Anything goes. The Jus ad Bellum within the Haters' jurisdiction supercedes the jus in Bello of the jurisdications against which they are a menace. Love them or hate them, you have to coexist with them, like cats and fleas and water and oil.

But there are many things bird can do that LeBron can't do. Bird was a better shooter and versatile scorer than LeBron. Better passer than LeBron and bird didn't need to dominate the ball to get his assists. Better rebounder than LeBron at the small forward position and Bird was getting his rebound averages despite playing with McHale and big Chief Parrish. Both bird and LeBron were solid help and weak side defenders but not great on ball defenders. And bird was better in the clutch. Bird was just simply a better basketball player.

I have my top 15 locked in, one strict requirement I have is that you have to have won more than once as the #1 option... period, so anyone that won once, or was the #1 option just once, or never won is immediately disqualified, my top 15 goes like this, and I include BAA/NBL/ABA stuff, if you don't just slide up number 15 and put in West and Oscar, that would be strictly NBA
    1. Michael Jordan
    2. Bill Russell

    15. Stephen Curry
I am prepared to present and defend my reasoning for each spot, my top 13(12 if you're strictly NBA)are non negotiable for me after all I have researched, I made a list of requirements, made it as strict as I could possibly get and still have atleast 10 guys, this is how it came out, to be a candidate for top 10 all time imo, you must have:
    •10+ Playoff Appearances
    •4+ Conference Finals Appearances
    •3+ NBA Finals Appearances
    •2+ NBA Championships
    •2+ NBA Finals MVP
    •1+ NBA MVP
    •10+ All NBA Selections(1st,2nd,3rd)
    •Make All Rookie Team(1st,2nd)
    •12+ All Star Appearances
•10+ Additional Awards(more of these or stuff not mentioned, eg. ROY, DPOY, Scoring, Rebounding, Assists, Steals, or Block Titles, All Star Game MVP, etc.)
•You have to have been the number 1 option and/or part of a great tandem for multiple title runs
•Have to hold some kind of NBA Record
•Be Top 25 All Time in Playoff Win Shares
•Be Top 25 All time in Playoff VORP
•First Ballot Hall of Fame inductee
15 requirements, the older guys don't have all 15 boxes available, but even still, only 2 can check 100% of the boxes available to them, Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain, keep that in mind, there are 8 players that check all 15 boxes, listed chronologically they are, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 'Magic' Johnson, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, & Tim Duncan, and there are 2 active players that check all the boxes with the exception of their inevitable First Ballot HOF induction, those 2 guys are LeBron James and Kevin Durant, if you include ABA equivalent awards and statistics, Dr. J also checks all the boxes that's why they are locked in as my top 13, George Mikan checks all the boxes he can aswell, but has by far the fewest to check of anyone you would look at, he gets spot 14 for that, Steph is missing 4 boxes, 10+ Playoff Appearances, 2+ Finals MVP, 12+ All Star Appearances, and First Ballot HOF, I feel that 3 of those are inevitable(Steph has 9 Playoff appearances, 10 All Stars, and is a first ballot HOF player), but the Finals MVP is gonna be rough, but if he gets it, he is in this conversation 💯 until then, sorry kid not enough on the resumé just yet 🤷‍♂️

What if Lebron had Mike’s on court game (shooting, post game, FT’s, defense, endurance/motor, etc) and Mike had Lebron’s… and Lebron had 10 scoring titles and made 9 all-def 1st teams while Mike had 1 scoring title and 5 all-def 1st teams… and Lebron had 6 championships in the form of two 3-peats with a retirement playing another sport in between, put up the numbers Mike did and finished each 3-peat like Mike did averaging 40+ in one and then carrying the oldest team in nba history to win a championship in ‘98 finishing it off having 45 of his teams 87 points with the steal & shot (and pose) at the end… while Mike had the 4 championships and 6 losses winning and losing them just like Lebron did… and Mike had DWade, CBosh, Kyrie, KLove & AD while Lebron had Scottie… and Lebron had all the clutch shots & moments Mike had and Mike’s clutch game was what Lebron’s is… if Mike had the series against Dallas and the sweeps in the Finals while Lebron was undefeated… if Lebron had 5 reg MVP’s and 6 Finals MVP’s while Mike had 4 of each… it Mike came in after Lebron and wore his/Lebron’s # 23, etc etc.
If everything was flip flopped to where Lebron had Mike’s game and legacy & Mike had Lebron’s, what would your response be to someone saying that Mike was better than/above Lebron?

Agree with your criteria. Start with best player and then factor winning.
MJ was really the goat on first 3-peat. Maybe even before that. The second 3-peat and the domination factor put him out of reach.
Bubble Ring: I respect the bubble ring based on this criteria. Hard work, defense, and continuity wins championships. The lakers had the best record in the west all season. Clippers were favorite and kawhi was resting a lot. All that work the lakers put in through out the year taking every game seriously was really the secret sauce. Not just the competition and factors concerning covid. I Give lebron credit for getting his team ready from game 1.

Aye what it do gang? To add on to what u said out the gate. He discredited Kobe for having Shaq and Shaq winning the MVP those 3xs but didn't discredit Steph for having K.D and to top it off he didn't discredit Lebron for being on D Wade's team. Personally I don't discredit Kobe cuh without Kobe they wouldn't have won period and the point differential between Shaq & Kobe was 1 or 2 pts on those title runs. If you notice they didn't win until Kobe started playing real minutes.
Secondly I'm of the opinion that Miami was D.Wades team as well as GSW was Stephs team even with Lebron and K.D joining them. So if you are going to discredit Kobe for joining Shaqs team then you would have to discredit Lebron and K.D for joining other Superstars teams to get a ring.
Also if you notice that everyone in his top 6 has done something outstanding and record breaking that doesn't have anything to do with longevity at all. 4 of those guys have 5 or more championships and Wilt literally scored 100 points in a game and averaged 50 points in a season. Nothing Lebron has done in his entire career can hold a candle to those other 5 guys but because of the term called "The Illusory Truth" is why Lebron is even in the convo.
That term means when you say something so much that people start to believe it's true even when the facts prove it's a lie
