When you have two kids or two people in the park in a basketball court, they still can play basketball against each other. You don't need 10 people to create two teams to play. One-on-one is the purest form of basketball as far as displaying and showcasing a player's mastery of the game of basketball as you don't have anyone to help you or to cover your faults. It's just you against the other player and your full arsenal of skills. Offensive and defensive. When one player is less skilled and has a lot of holes in their game they will lose to another player that has mastered the game better. What's next, LeBron going to say that shooting free throws isn't basketball or important?

What you have to realize about those that continuously downgrade Kobe's greatness are mostly those that have never played the game. But ask the players, especially the Hall of Fame Players. Ask Kevin A. how many championships did Jordan win before or after Scottie Pippen. Kobe won 2 more championships after Shaquans without another top 75 player. You are so right when you say that Steven A. is canceling Kobe out simply because he had Shaq. Why didn't Shaquans win in Orlando when he had Penny Hardaway and Dwight Howard if Shaq was the reason for Kobe winning his first three rings. It's only since Kobe died that now, Kobe is being recognized for his greatness. Most of those that diminish Kobe's greatness are mostly sports commentators and analysts who basically look at stats but stats don't tell the whole story.
