One of these was behind me in traffic yesterday and he took a detour to get around traffic and when he floored it, the engine sounded damn good with a low almost V8 sound. It brought me here!
I'm lucky enough to own this exact car in a stick shift and it is everything Zack describes. It's just plain fun to drive and looks cool. I just got it in 2020 and now being 2024 it's already over 10 years old and I get soo many compliments on this car and everyone is surprised when I tell them it's a 2013. I treat it like it's a brand new car because I know how special it is and if something happens to it, you can't just replace it as they are a bit of a unicorn. I'm blessed with this baby and I know it.
I’m curious. I’m shopping for one of these right now and the used car market is still insane . Do you mind saying how much you paid on it and the mileage at the time?
Your comments at 10:42 are exactly why I loved all of the Honda motorcycles I owned (other than my RC51 - a beast but had been crashed and flooded by a previous owner). I used to love zipping around town back and forth to college and could always count on them to make me smile and get me where I needed to go.
@@pink7930 it was probably my favorite bike but mine had some reliability issues due to being crashed and flooded. Probably my fault for not examining it close enough when I purchased it.
@JTstratman13 Maybe not actually. I had two separate computer failures on the bike that rendered it inoperable. The second time on the highway in the left lane with a semi behind me. That computer cost me like $800 each time to replace and after the second time I just had to sell. Broke my heart.
@@pink7930 mine had wiring gremlins and low compression. I had a buddy rebuild the engine and ran great after that. Cheap Chinese fairings. The sound of the timing gears was out of this world!
My uncle had one of these and he put 350,000mi on it with zero issues at all. Regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance was it. Very nice car, built super well.
I actually submitted my 2013 accord coupe v6 to you once, but its an automatic. Never heard back unfortunately, lol. They are great cars. Only problem I've had was my starter started not engaging all the time. Pretty common on all of these accords. I love mine though. Very underrated sports coupe. A lot quicker than people expect.
the starter problem is a fix that Honda can/should do for free (have a 2014 V6 AT). If it sounds like you are trying to start a car while already on, then you have the problem. Here's the TSB: static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10115802-9999.pdf
I just fixed mine this afternoon with the same problem. Turns out these cars have relays that'll fail over time while still letting power pass through. First it was my AC that failed intermittently, swapped the relay and fixed it. Noticed my windows were getting a bit lethargic and ignored it. Then I started getting intermittent no start symptoms. Replaced the battery, still not fixed. Finally got a hunch that woke me up in the middle of the night and decided to pull the starter fuse. Ended up also disabling the power windows then thought I was onto something here. Went and got a new fuse and lo and behold the car instantly started and now my windows roll up and down like I just put in new motors. So if you ever have an electrical problem in the future with a Honda, try swapping fuses and relays for new ones, even if they still "work". That easily saved me a ton of money with that borderline premonition I literally woke up to
@zubiddydoodoopop good to know. Mine has been fine other than replacing that starter. My brother has been a honda mechanic for 20 yrs, so no issue is ever hard for me to figure out. Lol.
Man i really wanted one of these when this bodystyle of Accord came out. They look great, you could still get a V6 in it and that manual option...closest thing you can get to a "personal luxury" car in the modern era. Sweet ride. Great video as always man. Regarding your "Hondas shift better" take: youre absolutely right! They get manuals right more often than almost everyone else. This extends into the motorcycle world as well. Im Honda loyal on the motorcycle side and when i hop onto a Yamaha or Kawasaki, they feel notchy and rough, whereas my Hondas shift like butter and only require a small little tap of the toe to change gears, while other bikes feel like you have to put your entire foot into it 😂
I got my red '14 6-6 coupe a year ago from yesterday. I really really do love the thing. Rare, beautiful, reliable, fun to drive, nice interior, sounds good, I literally can't say enough good things about it. It had been crashed into before, has a questionable paintjob and a welded in quarter panel. It also does not have working airbags (dealer quoted 5500 to fix my airbag wiring cuz a shop that fixed it after the crash messed it up, so I've decided not to fix them yet) But after I fixed all the problems it had, It has given me zero trouble. Shifts are good, power is great and gas mileage is freakin amazing for a V6! Thing gets 32-33 on the highway!! I love these cars and I hope to have mine for a long time (currently at 112k)
I drove a very long day with friends to get one of them a 9th gen coupe 6 speed v6. Fantastic machine. I had a 7th gen sedan v6 6 speed. Best Hondas for sure
I recently grabbed one as a second car. I’ve been driving a Mazda 3 AWD Turbo since it was released and before that I’ve consistently driven a GT sedan & 2.5 hatch for close to a decade. Living North of the border the AWD along with Blizzaks has got me through some insane snow storms but going years without the having steady all round performer like the J35 V6 -6 speed in the driveway to call upon especially in the summer months. I am stoked that I was able to find a 2015 6-6 Coupe in beautiful shape. I know their somewhat rare especially with low mileage but in Canada some dudes just babied the hell out them and I was blessed to find one. I absolutely love it, that engine sounds sweet , performs even better and with Honda & other brands going downhill with small displacement Turbos and suspect looks & reliability these right now are the Honda’s to buy and keep for years to come. Perfect daily driver that has plenty of power to surprise. Appreciate the video brother!!!
My previous vehicle was an Accord V6 coupe. I loved it, but I got tired of shifting it constantly in heavy traffic (I live in the city). It was awesome in the summer when I was doing mostly highway commuting though. Now I drive a V6 fusion, but I still miss that Honda V6.
I own a similar 2015 V6 Accord coupe with the two-tone interior and am holding onto that thing until the wheels fall off. It’s fast, comfortable, quiet, steers well, great tech. Just wonderful.
Wow uncanny timing! I'm on the verge of negotiating to try to get this identical car except a 2014. It only has 12K miles and the owner was meticulous in maintaining it. It's either that or a 2017 Lexus GS 350 with 16K miles on it. The Lexus is a smoother, nicer car and handles better than the Accord, but the stick shift is so much fun! Also I think I'd have to spend exactly twice the cash for the GS as I would for the Accord, so I'm leaning toward the Honda right now.
Get the accord man!!! I just bought mine in December and it's been fantastic. You won't have the opportunity to buy one with that low of mileage ever again
Accord wont disappoint, i have this car over 5yrs and love it as a daily. Might not be super comfy like the lexus but its an awesome daily forsure. Packs quite a punch when vtec hits too. I would say though, if you have a family or like doing outdoors activity then get the sedan v6. Also better to go for the 2016-2017 accords, theyre newer and have better tech
I've owned 3 6-6 coupes. 2 7th gens and a 9th gen identical to this. Incredible cars. I miss them all. The 9th gen should be a collectible in time. Great interior, plenty of amenities, solid, and runs 13s in the 1/4. I miss them badly. Cls-6 is also an incredible car if you can find a well kept one. That's the car that got me hooked on jseries, way back in high school
6:10 The reason Honda moved away from the blind spot cameras on the right mirrors is because the wiring harnesses in the mirrors began to degrade over time, so Honda stopped adding them to their cars around 2019ish due to longevity concerns. I have to agree though, a great feature while it lasted!
Damn nice car. Dont think i will ever be able to snatch one of these up, but im happy with my 6-speed 2015 Honda Fit. Just hit 104k mile, and still running strong and reliable.
Im at 125k miles, no issues at all on my 2013 accord v6. I get around 26-32 mpg and still packs a punch when vtec kicks in. I keep up with all 300hp cars which is all i need for a daily. Its super comfortable and def a perfect daily. The only hondas better for daily would prob only be the civic typeR and the accord 2.0t. Most other hondas are great but arent as fun and sporty as this accord v6.
Good video. This is a very yummy Honda. Love the looks (including the color) as well as the interior. Very tasteful mods. In 1980s, I was fortunate enough to have a then newly introduced 1980 Civic GL with a 5 speed, silver with a red interior. It most certainly punched above its weight in sportiness. In fact, it was more like an original Mini Cooper than today's Mini Cooper is. 100,000+ miles of reliability and fun. Traded it for a '92 Accord - and racked up 100,000+ trouble-free miles in that one too. (I won't bore you with the Acura stories that followed. 😁)
I really wanted a 16'-17' v6 (the refresh) manual coupe, but as you said, they're pretty much unicorns. I settled with a 16' V6 Touring coupe with the auto and it's still great. Loads of features, the paddle shifters work well to have some fun, and the automatic trans does make traffic a breeze.
I had a 2014 Coupe, only the I-4 but I test drove the V6 and loved it. Would really like to have this car back but with the V6 for sure. I later bought a 2017 Accord SEDAN and it was a night and day difference. It was like a different car- I miss coupes!! Glad to hear I am not the only one who had their heart stolen by this 'regular' Honda.
I had a friend who had one of these but in an automatic, and at the time I had a 4G Eclipse GT. And while my car was nice, when I sat in his I felt like I was in a high-end luxury car by comparison. The interiors of these cars are *so nice,* lots of headroom for taller people, the stereo systems in these sounded really good and the engine was quiet until you wanted to hear it. I never drove it, but it felt like it could be a lot of fun if enthusiastically driven.
My buddy had an '08 manual V6 back in the day with a ton of money put into a killer sound system. That car was sooo cool. He could spin em in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear
I own a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe EX-V6 6MT and it's a beautiful balance of luxury, power, and sport handling. I may be crucifying myself here, but I prefer driving it to my 1997 Mazda Miata.
That’ll butter your biscuits lmao ! That’s a clean car, appreciate the categories in the video. Makes it faster and easier to get to the point when we don’t have time but still want to see. 🤝
I had an 08' 3.5L, engine ran a bit rough with a slight tick. Adjusted valve lashings (they were waaay out of spec along with the rocker bridge bolts being undertorqued) and runs perfect Timing belt is the most annoying part about this car, but fortunately it's not often Performance intake, exhaust, and a decent tune, and you got a fun car I absolutely love the handling of these cars
I'm a "BIG" Honda Accord V6-6MT fan, and I approve this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... I currently own the 8th gen and 9th gen Honda Accord Coupe V6-6MT and I'm one very, very happy man 😎
I have an 8th gen 6/6 in black, not as many interior updates, but its all about that powertrain. It really is a swiss army knife of a car, doesnt do any one thing particularly excellent, but does almost anything you want from it well enough.
My mom bought the same 2016 accord coupe 2.4l cvt, even at the worse configuration it’s such a fantastic car. Handles phenomenally, decent power and has been bullet proof. The cvt isn’t really that bad, but I’d get the 6-6 combo of course. Her mpgs are very good though
Crazy didn’t know how many people like this car I’m very blessed to have been gifted this exact car but automatic and on air ride it’s beautiful all round
I recently bought this car with automatic transmission. The car feels strong 96k miles. the interior looks almost new on mine. great car sad they dont have that much aftermarket support
My parents have a 2015. Manual and everything. The poor thing has had its door bent backwards, and doesn't get undercoated and washed in the winter, so sadly it won't last, but God damn is it fun.
Great video man, finally someones recognizing what a awesome car this is. I have a 15 v6 coupe just like this, and man.. I'll never get rid of it. About to pay it off (: however, I really really really wish I had the next years model, 9.5 with the face lift. Oh man those look so much better to me. Id like to convert mine to look like that some day .
This model (auto) was actually my first car, I drove it for 7 years and about 90k miles (with not a single issue, had almost 150k when I got rid of it) and traded it in on a B9.5 S5 Sportback, I'm not gonna lie, the S5 is a more modern, faster, better driving, more luxurious car, but I do find myself missing that NA J35 engine note a lotttttt, definitely a special car in Honda's mid-2010's lineup
Very Nice review! I daily a 2011 V6 coupe auto and while its not the manual its still a hell of a fun car to drive (it does have flappy paddles). You get great performance without sacrificing a tone of comfort or reliability. I got mine used with low miles and it will most likely stay with me for forever. Nothing like it will ever get made again unfortunately.
6:16 I like the "Go Baby Go" on the ignition button. I need that for mine. I know and more importantly, you know, it would add 10 (scratch that) 60 horsepower!!!!
Owning two accord coupes, I'm at a loss with the modern auto industry. When a car like a Accord coupe can hang on quite nicely with street bikes on canyon roads fun! underrated! Honda should've kept building them.
My roommate was so torn between one of these, or a 2016+ Chevy Camaro 6 speed manual V6. What decided him on the Camaro in the end was a fully loaded, RS package V6, 6 speed manual popped up within 100 miles in his price range and in great shape. It had not been easy to find a clean, bone stock and unmolested Honda Accord manual V6 within 100 miles.....the last one he looked at was clean, but someone had not done their oil changes often enough in 85,000 miles and that engine was NASTY inside and ran like garbage to go with.
when I owned a 2015 golf TSI, which before its maintenance woes, I loved, I test drove a 2018 civic SI. I figured it would be better, since it made more power & weighed less. I was severely disappointed in how it drove, noting that virtually everything about my golf, which had 30 fewer horsepower, was nicer and better to drive. The only thing I hands-down gave the Honda was shifter feel. no front wheel drive car has a shifter that feels as lovely to row through the gears in than a Honda
If they had paired the v6 and manual transmission to a sedan it would have been the best Accord ever. EDIT: yes I know they did it for 2006-7, I meant with this gen accord.
I like, though capable competitors at the time, how this made Mitsu Eclipses and Nissan Altima coupes yesterdays news when this thing came out. Especially as far as styling goes.
best honda ever made is reaching, but these are definitely a blast. Had a 2012 in this spec and it was so fun ripping it around. I sold it and made an integra type r clone and I never looked back though...
I have a 2017 Touring V6 with automatic. In sport mode with paddle shifters you can hit the rev limiter and it wont shift same exactly like manual. I have Ktuner 91 Octane tune and full exhaust CAI. I have have improved shifting level 1 enabled for quicker shifts. manage 5 second 0-60 runs
I am a proud owner of one of these in red, its a fucking awesome car. I've had an instance of someone waiting for me in a parking lot asking to buy it.
I deliver food to an old lady with a fully loaded blue ‘13 V6 manual coupe EX-L. You shoulda seen her face when I told her how rare and cool it was lol.
I had a brown one like 08 and yes that configuration is rare indeed. Almost like having a crx si or integra 4 door gsr or the nissan 91 to 93 sentra se-r!
Thank you Zach you did a great job and it was fun working with you!

My wife has a 2016 Honda CRV 2.5 CVT... we had zero engine or interior problems. Natural aspirated Hondas are so reliable.
Thanks for all the cool content bro ! love this accord fr
That’ll butter your biscuits lmao !
That’s a clean car, appreciate the categories in the video. Makes it faster and easier to get to the point when we don’t have time but still want to see. 🤝
Acura TL 04-08 was Honda at it's best for FWD platform along with the Integra. 😁
Missing my 09 civic si. This was a close second. The manual v6 accord is criminally underrated
I had an 08' 3.5L, engine ran a bit rough with a slight tick. Adjusted valve lashings (they were waaay out of spec along with the rocker bridge bolts being undertorqued) and runs perfect
Timing belt is the most annoying part about this car, but fortunately it's not often
Performance intake, exhaust, and a decent tune, and you got a fun car
I absolutely love the handling of these cars
I've been wanting one of these for years! but they are increasingly hard to find. :(
After market gas pedal was installed upside down 😮, im not sure if that was intentional or not.
I had a V6 Honda Accord once. It was the best car I ever owned and really reliable.
I'm a "BIG" Honda Accord V6-6MT fan, and I approve this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... I currently own the 8th gen and 9th gen Honda Accord Coupe V6-6MT and I'm one very, very happy man 😎
this was a underrated year for the accord the styling is beautiful in my opinion with a decent amount of features
One of the best cars ever made. Thanks to whoever at Honda who made this spec available
I subscribed after “that’ll butter your biscuits” 😂😂😂
I have an 03 cl type s 6mt and this seems like a modernized version of what I have, i'm so sad that honda decided to discontinue this configuration.
We went from a V6 manual to a tiny turbo 4 CVT, oh boy.
Yep unfortunately 2017 was the last year for the V6
The rear end of this Accord is sooooo good.
Right ? Gives kinda a Carrera vibe
i drive a 2014 2.4L coupe with the CVT, i love the way the k24 sounds
@Brian_Eugene_Lee The CVT is okay, I would prefer the 6-speed, but i'm happy with what I got
I have the 2015 auto v6 and it's still fun.I find it crazy alot of ppl don't have these.
I have the Acura version, the cl type s 6 mt and it’s been a blast. Gets good gas mileage and reliable and comfortable.
2012 Accord 6x6 coupe. i will be keeping mine for years to come.. fbo prob supercharge next year!!
Truly slept on.
6:16 I like the "Go Baby Go" on the ignition button. I need that for mine. I know and more importantly, you know, it would add 10 (scratch that) 60 horsepower!!!!
I own a black 2011 Accord V6 manual and get compliments all the time. Absolutely love the car.... race it around periodically like it is a Ferrari.
Great video and an amazing car! Love everything about it!
This is literally about as cool and rare as the 1996 Honda Accord EX 2Dr Coupe with SOHC VTEC 4cyl & 5spd manual transmission I owned.
I have a '14 6AT and I don't think I'll love another car like I love this one.
If they had paired the v6 and manual transmission to a sedan it would have been the best Accord
ever.
EDIT: yes I know they did it for 2006-7, I meant with this gen accord.
I’m from Germany and own a e92 330i and I love the accord coupe!
Love your channel and the way you do car content, but I do miss your former intro, it motivated me to watch your shows more.
I drove one about 2 years ago it’s no nice omg it would fly and it’s so smooth and roomy and stylish and very reliable
I have a k24A and the reliability has been better than any other car I've ever had.
ive had my 2014 since 2016. it was my first car. has not failed me once🙏🏻 im thinking about just buying another one, maybe a 2017😂
I drive a 6-6 accord. My only complaint is it’s almost too NPC looking and you have to explain to people it is actually a fun car.
I miss mine. Regreted selling it since. Style, comfort and speed was 10/10
Hondas in general are pretty good but add a manual and a v6 and you have a fun car.
This car is a Fing unicorn 🦄 hard to find them without being trashed. Very cool!
Nah bro the Jennifer Aniston of Hondas and Acuras is the 2004-2008 Acura TL. In my opinion
Just passed 330,000 in my 2004 V6 Vtech manual, and it blew the engine. Replaced the engine, STILL Luv it!!
21 mpg average is respectable. Memory seats 👏 bravo
I have a 2.4 exL 2007 Honda accord, and I love her dearly. 😊
As an owner of a 15 coupe those are the GOAT cup holders lol
I had a brown one like 08 and yes that configuration is rare indeed. Almost like having a crx si or integra 4 door gsr or the nissan 91 to 93 sentra se-r!
