Everyone has an Accord in their life ; maybe your grandpappy had one, maybe your mom drives one, maybe YOU drive one. What's your Accord story, ACCORDing to you?
my first car ever was an accord. it was a gift from my brother and 2 doors didn't work. one would never open and the other had to be held shut with a bungee cord and would pop open if i turned right too hard. loved that car though, she had a lot of character. always kept me on my toes
Buy a 1991 CRX si 5 speed (like $1500-$2000) then swap the top end and cam with the one that has the extra 5hp and put full header exhaust, cold intake, and take out EVERY not necessary part. And then take it to a country road. - you're welcome I had this as a weekend rider and I had probably 115hp max but it was so lightweight it was the funniest car I ever owned and I've own a 5.0 mustang. So that's saying alot.
The Honda Accord will always hold a special place in my heart. At 17 I got my first car which was a 07’ Accord SE with 131k miles on the clock. Whether it was going on spontaneous trips with friends, going to work, school, or a joyride to clear my mind, it got me through a lot mentally and physically. However the story continues, cause 26,000 miles later (currently at 157,153) it’s still chugging along.

I own 3 Subaru's and a 91 Accord. Guess which one has never let me down. I just add a little gas and oil every once in a while and it keeps on going. My buddy had a 92 coupe back in high school when they were new. It was the car that opened my eyes to the import world. Before that I thought only old muscle cars could be fast. Even with only 130 hp that thing would get up and go. Fast forward a couple of decades I was looking for a daily while I finished a motor build on my WRX. So I decided to pick my 91 up for $1500. It's been the most reliable car I have ever owned. I put 80 miles a day on it for over a year and it didn't even cough once. Only problem I have with it is the cops around here love to profile me in it. I get pulled over all the time. As soon as they see it's a 40 year old dude with no record they let me go every time. It's not completely riced out but it's also not stock so I get where they are coming from... Oh yeah and my dad had an 84 Accord when I was a little kid that the only thing I remember about it is he hit my sister with in the driveway because there was no clutch safety switch and it jumped when he started the car.
The accord is the most durable thing I have ever seen tbh no matter how you treat it the car will always still be there with you and last forever sadly I wish the 4th had better recognition I also have a 91 accord ex sedan which I love so much.
That's not really what this show is for, but I would like some kind of episode on it, even though Top Gear and hundreds of other shows covered it already.
The Accord is like that middle aged uncle you see a couple times a year on holidays that’s kinda lost his way, is a father, and drives a family sedan. Has a regular full time desk job and lives in a condo. But he’s got cool tattoos and stories about his younger years, and revealed that he took out his now wife on their first date in his old Integra Type R. Now him and your dad are reminiscing about the first time they got pulled over for speeding in that car, and street racing after watching the fast and the furious at the theater in 2001. He somehow randomly has a picture of him and Mr. T, too.
I had a 1999 Honda Accord EX w/5 speed manual. That was the best car I ever owned and I was so pissed at myself for wrecking it. I ended up getting an '09 Lancer GTS. It's decent, but that Honda was way better.
The Accord pops VTEC at around 3,000 RPM while the Civic pops at around 5,500 RPM, so I'd say the civic or Integra is more of the VTEC king because they make more of a: "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" sound when they hit VTEC.
I have an 04 v6 manual coupe and that thing is a beast, super unassuming and has hurt a lot of people feelings 😂 never ever giving it up. Kinda disappointed they did talk about it more 😔
Same here man! I'm pushing 265k miles on mine! I've had it for a year, put on 15k miles on it and only had to do some maintenance stuff because the previous owner didn't, like headgaskets and stuff. Just had to replace the ignition cylinder lock, but it's running great!
But disappointed you didn't include the CL7, CL9 AND CU2 accords. Those were the prime years, not forgetting to mention the Euro R accord. Kseries accords were the best!
CL9 and CU2 = 1st and 2nd gen Acura TSX in the US/Canada. Was also the AWD CL8, other AWD Accords to. Believe the blue top H23A VTEC was fitted to an AWD wagon? Then there was the F20B which was essentially a higher revving destroked H22. Also there were 2 Euro-R's, was the K20 powered CL7 as mentioned, but also before that the H22A powered CL1, which was sold at the same time as the European Type R.
Can't forget the Toyota Corolla. I hope that Honda will consider the idea of releasing a fiftieth anniversary edition of the Honda Civic in 2023 and a fiftieth anniversary edition of the Honda Accord in 2026.
Sold my 2006 v6 coupe. With 340k km had is since it had 110k km. Beast of a car and fast in a straight line. Just don't try to stop from 120mph more than twice in one night. A race car it is not! Incredible reliability. I did get tired of doing value adjustments ever 80k kn though. Damn v6 was temperamental when the valves went out. That and water pumps changed with the timing belt every 150k km...pita
@@MrMduchesne23 i have never heard of anyone needing to adjust the valves on a Honda before!!! Also.... They are not fast in a straight line, calling it quick is barely acceptable. Thats coming from someone who had a 2003 Acura TL TypeS. Had 245k miles and still screamed lol. Wasnt fast though
@@raymondnewbill5294 and that's how you tell if someone actually owned one. The v6 accord in the gen 7 needed the valve adjusted every so often. Essentially after the 1st timing belt service. Engine needed to be dead cold. Intake needed to come off. God I still have the spacers needed to do it lol. If not done carbon and crap will build up and cause sever knock. Milage suffered and etc. 0-60 and quarter mile times were a little slower than my stock 2015 VW GTI. The sumbitch would take off hard enough to break the engine mount with the 240hp 3 litre engine.
Possibly my favorite video so far. I am picking up a 10th gen Accord this weekend and I have non stop watched videos on this car. I do plan on having my fun with the car with adding front slitter and other exterior mods, but what I am most excided about is I will eventually be bring that sweet 2.0 back to the Type R specs. This car is already nasty, but it's going to be fuming when I am finally done. Keep up all the work. I have been absolutely loving your videos. God Bless!!
Before I even watch this I wanna say that I freaking love Honda!!! I've been waiting for this one for a while! Drove mine til the wheels fell off. 2001 Accord v6 350k miles! Original transmission!!! Love this channel.
I've always been a Honda prelude guy at heart. My 4th generation Lude had a JDM h22a that was a beast. I also had a GSR Integra and a couple of civics and about four different preludes all 4th gens, but I just picked up a Honda Accord ex-L with a 6 spd, and I got to say this thing is a killer all I have is intake and exhaust on it so far and it's a monster not at all what I thought the v6 would be like
I drive a 2004 Honda Accord with a k24 right now, but I used to have the 1994 Honda Accord EX with the 2.2 liter vtec BEASTIE BOI. It was my first car in 2014. I found the car in field, not running. I fixed the shot gas lines, brake lines, headlamps, power windows, moon roof, radio, speakers and paired it up with 4 brand new tires. That car was my gateway into the car scene. Even though it had over 220,000 miles, it still ran great. It was the perfect back and forth car for my high school years and even got me through some of college. However during the summer of 2018 this car would meet it's demise. I had just picked up a friend to go bowling. As we were heading north we have to pass this intersection. It was a 3 lane intersection with a single stop sign for the road that intersects with the other. Kind of like this: |- I was going down the side of the road that is closest to the adjacent street with the stop sign. I was very close to the intersection when this lady decided to turn left. I am not sure of all of the details myself, but I believe what happened was she did not double stop and didn't see me. So she pulls out and smashes into my car. The whole right side of my car is gone. Front passenger side wheel is smashed and bent, glass is shattered, both doors are jammed shut, and the radiator was smashed. Me and my friend were fine and the lady admitted that she messed up. At the time I was hysterical to be alive, but when I got home that night I could not hold my emotions and broke down. I put so much love and care into that car and to see it go like that killed me. Now I have a 10 year younger version of the same car. Although nothing will ever replace that Honda this one is a close second.
"I always thought a car was used for getting from point A to point B, and sometimes point C on the weekends. That man died the day I laid my eyes on the 1979 Honda Accord."- Superintendent Chalmers
They run a long ass time. My dad's is at almost 350k. Had to replace transmission though. Someone stole it and we found it within 10 miles of our house. Whoever stole it drove stick so badly they made it less than 10 miles
That's what is so great about the Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Toyota Camry: nothing can kill them; aside from an auto accident or a natural disaster.
Thanks for pointing this out. I had a ‘96 coupe LX, that I WISH would have come with a H22. The LX model had the non-VTEC version of the F22 (F22B2), while the EX had the VTEC version (F22B1). My sister had a ‘01 Prelude. Many a times I was tempted to yank the H22 out of her car and replace it with mine haha.😎
Haaaa, I've loved these videos and only came down here to see if I was the only one who picked up on this mistake. I knew anyone that had a 5th gen accord would know that it DEF didn't come with an H series engine. I had a 95 EX for 8yrs with the f22b1, great engine. I rebuilt another one and dropped it in the last year I had it, drove like a brand new car. I replaced it with a stock WRX...i went from a loud and slow car, to a super quiet fast car.
Owner of a 2014 Honda Accord LX sedan 6MT. It just lacks power, and the manual transmission is okay, but the rev hang and gearbox are definitely questionable. It’s definitely much more fun than the CVT model by miles, but the newer V6 Accord’s are a whole different ballpark when we’re talking about luxury, performance, and aesthetics.
One of the best cars my parents ever owned was a Honda Accord here in the uk. Everything about it looked great, styling, previous owner had put some racing alloys on, it really had that simple and clean 90s/00s look.
I have an 04 7th gen Accord coupe with the 6 speed manual, beyond in love with it and how quick it is. The J30 is one of the smoothest motors I've ever experienced. Been waiting for this episode for a long time

I feel it’s only appropriate to share my Accord story with you guys. I had a 1998 Accord LX a few years back, I loved that thing more than any car I’ve had. Sadly, I got wrecked and got tboned, so she didn’t make it. Now I have a 7th gen accord, couldn’t be happier
Got a 2002 Honda Accord V6. Thing still runs so well. I actually want it to break down to have reason to buy a new car for just something different, but nope, it just keeps going. Quality product.
I've had four Accords over the years both sedans and coupes. I currently have a 2014 V6 Accord Coupe EX-L with the dual color interior. That J35y under the hood is a beast. Hope Honda returns the coupe one day 😢
ive always loved the accord’s styling, each generation was striking to me in its own way. i hope to own an eighth generation coupe some day, a v6 manual coupe if i could ever find one
My mom (and me since I don't have my own car yet) drives a 2015 Honda Accord, thing has worked perfectly for us. Never has any issues, drives super smoothly, it's great. Neat to see the history behind it.
Bought a 95 Accord LX this April, and by golly it gives me the tinglies driving and working on that thing. Got it at 140k miles from a father and son who took really good care of it. Came with a CAI and 2.5 inch cat-back exhaust. Every now and then, gotta take it out to the highway and stomp on the accelerator to hear it BAAAAHHHHH
I watched this video sitting in my 5th gen Honda accord, I have own 3 5th gens and finally you make this video. Only problem I had is the 5th gens never had a factory h22 in America, they are f22s but that's the only thing lol. Thanks for finally giving the accord the appreciation it deserves.

03 Accord V6 manual coupe. 0-60 in 6s flat, double wishbone suspension, sunroof, heated leather. $5000 with 85K miles and it'll never die!
I have an auto sedan it the J series is the best thing ever
Soo lucky its a manual i have an 05 v6 auto with 163000 miles but the damn tranny went out twice -_-
Same. Love my car long live the J series.
Please please please please please do a video on the Corolla, not only the AE-86
It's on the list!

Even if it doesn't drift it's still a fun car
@@Donut WHEN???????????????
Eww. The Corolla is so slow, even the S
But disappointed you didn't include the CL7, CL9 AND CU2 accords. Those were the prime years, not forgetting to mention the Euro R accord. Kseries accords were the best!
exactly he didnt mention accord euro
Yeah love the CL9
CL9 and CU2 = 1st and 2nd gen Acura TSX in the US/Canada. Was also the AWD CL8, other AWD Accords to. Believe the blue top H23A VTEC was fitted to an AWD wagon? Then there was the F20B which was essentially a higher revving destroked H22. Also there were 2 Euro-R's, was the K20 powered CL7 as mentioned, but also before that the H22A powered CL1, which was sold at the same time as the European Type R.
In my view, the best Accords ever made. Stylish, and sporty!
CL7R is the best hehehe euroR rockz

Honda Civic, Honda Accord, and Toyota Camry are loved so much, that they are the most stolen cars of all time.
Can't forget the Toyota Corolla. I hope that Honda will consider the idea of releasing a fiftieth anniversary edition of the Honda Civic in 2023 and a fiftieth anniversary edition of the Honda Accord in 2026.
I mean yeah some of the most common cars would get stolen a lot.

My first car (still own it) is a 2006 V6 Hybrid Accord. Sumbitch has 433,000kms on it and still runs damn near perfect.
I’ve got myself a 2005 v6, great car. Though mine had some problems when I bought it because the previous owner wasn’t exactly kind to it
Sold my 2006 v6 coupe.
I appreciate your use of sumbitch
God Bless!!
How was it? Planning on getting an accord soon myself
Chills every time you introduce the VTEC.
As a driver of a 1992 Honda Accord, thank you.

Kind of like this: |-
I was going down the side of the road that is closest to the adjacent street with the stop sign.
Can I get 7:32 as a GIF? I think it best describes every Honda owner's reaction when it kicks in

Finally Honda Accord!! Been waiting since I own a Honda Accord 1997. Thanks for hearing me out Donut Media been begging to make a video on the Accord

saucy4life sorry for the lost :(
5 gen Honda Accord Coupe from 1994 was my first car. Best first car ever. Period.
You forgot to mention that they run forever. My 87 tapped out at 400k
@Sideways G it was due to rust more than anything living in Minnesota cars really cant last forever no matter how good the car is
HEY GUYS CHRIS FIX HERE
This makes me very hopeful w my 08 I plan on keeping forever
The way James screams, shows the kind of love he has for that car.🚗🚗
In 1994 Acords came with F22B1 Vtec engines. H22 were DOHC and were reserved for Prelude..
Why don't they address that error. He kept saying H22 and I'm like doesn't he mean the sohc F22?
Thanks for pointing this out. I had a ‘96 coupe LX, that I WISH would have come with a H22. The LX model had the non-VTEC version of the F22 (F22B2), while the EX had the VTEC version (F22B1). My sister had a ‘01 Prelude. Many a times I was tempted to yank the H22 out of her car and replace it with mine haha.😎
Accord 6th Gen JDM had euro r with h22. Also there was h23 for a wagon version.
@@PastorTylerThere was H22 in 6th Gen accord from the end of 1997 to 2003. P. S. Since when WRX is a quite car?
