You obviously have a great deal of study and knowledge invested in these, so get a public speaking coach to critique your delivery and make this an excellent work. Every phrase ends with a rise in frequency of about a 6th tonal interval. Neurotics like me can't unhear it. You're good. You can be even better. Thanks for trying to help people.

Migraine with Aura suck !!! Been getting them since I was just a kid .... The aura makes me nauseated, I have to cover my eyes and meditate during the aura or my headache gets worse and I’ll puke.... These dam things are a curse ...

Yes! They are. I’ve very sorry that you have them. I agree it’s almost like a curse! Sometimes I truly think it must be a curse!!! I hope you make progress in controlling them.
I’ve had these ridiculous things since I was three!! My mom found me in my nursery playroom in the corner crying w a pillow over my head. When she asked me about it...? I said I have a “ hakeache” they run in my family we found out after many tests. I’m 54 now. My Grandmother said hers when away after she went through the change. Mine only got way worse. 😖 warrioron!!!!! Migrainestrong!

Jacquie Hosey .... Hey thanks, appreciate your time and story .... I’m also sorry you get them as well, they can be brutal, I lose at least a couple days when I get one, feel groggy and spacey after, head hurts for several day’s, gets less intense after the first day but I’m not totally normal for at least 3-4 day’s... It’s even effected my speech, that freaked me out the first time that happened... The Aura though, 30-45 minutes where I can’t see, NOT FUN!! 😒

@@funkyflights i get the same as what you describe, as soon as i see the aura i take Sumatriptan which works good for me. There are other triptan drugs that may work. I only get a couple migraines a year which is good I guess. Ginger powder can help with pain as well. But yeah I feel your pain, worst feeling I have known.

Just in case this mite help, I've had aura migraines on and off for a few years now and recently have discovered that if I exercise/workout when I get it or even after getting it that working out helps me to rid the annoying after effects quicker.. Usually the aura comes on gets higher and bigger lasts for about 15 - 30 mins then the aura goes away and then I have pain between my eyes and a ugly feeling in my stomach for the rest of the day, and usually it ruins my day but now after I said stuff it I'm not gonna stop my day cause if it I'll do a workout and I feel better, not sure why, maybe cause it gets the blood flowing or endorphins or increase mitochondria.. Now in terms of triggers for the aura I'm not quiet sure I've but of recent times I'll write down when it's comes on and what I had done as in, looked at the phone for too long or bright lights like fluorescent lights mite be a trigger or sometimes I've noticed come in when I've had foods like oats/nuts/seeds, not all the time but often when I consume those kinds of foods and maybe from sulphites in those foods..

Do you think the aspirin or magnesium would be helpful right at the time or as prevention?

    • @adamwilde7132
      @adamwilde7132 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Disclaimer. I am not a doctor. I was struggling with AURA Migraines for years. I came across a study showing that daily aspirin is one of the best preventatives for treating "AURA Migraines" specifically. Look into the studies and talk to your doctor. Once again I am not a doctor. I just feel a responsibility to share what has changed my life from debilitating Aura Migraines.

Had a migraine with aura the other day.... I had like vision splicing as well as a weird flashing pattern on the edge of a blurry spot. Couldn't make out part of the face of the person I was looking at but was pretty much coherent besides forgetting a word when talking to them. It came on slowly and left fairly rapidly, I thought I was having a stroke or flashback. The tingling aura happened exactly as she described, started in fingertips, moved up arm and onto left side of face. This was following a period of anger/stress that was extremely intense. I was relaxing when this happened. If you look into it, relaxation following a stressful situation is one of the main catalysts for this condition. So be mindful and try to stay relaxed, it was definitely very strange and kind of scary. Also remember to eat food after an intense workout because I feel like not being satiated was another reason this happened.

my son (16) has aura migraine since winter 2018. It started after jumping on an indoor trampoline for about 30 minutes. „mama i have a blind spot“ were his first complains. Extreme nausea, headache and vomiting followed. Never heard about aura migraine and thought he has an „eye stroke“ 😱 ..... afterwards he only ever had aura migraines from september-december. 4-7 times in total per year. We found that really weird. We couldn’t put a finger on the causes. But it seems that it more often happens after workouts. Involving jumping (basketball, rope jumping) but also.... as atm after weight lifting workout. (1st time he ever had it in the beginning of a year)..... he already felt kinda weird during the workout. Weak, sickly, weird. He hate lentil soup after the workout and shortly after his aura (blind spot) began. It was different than usually he said. After 10-15 minutes the blind spot turned into something with colors. He took ibuprofen 600 as a supp. because we thought with all the soup in his tummy it will take ages to get absorbed or even worse: when he has to vomit, it all will be out of the system anyways. Now he s lying down with really bad headache. 😔 We ve tried different medications. Paracetamol, Aspirine, Novaminsulfon, .... a mix of some but Ibuprofen 600mg seems to work best. Best is to take it as soon as aura (blind spot in his case) starts. I guess today we ve waited a bit too long or the absorption down there isn’t as fast.

I come across to your video and I diagnose with migraine with aura last November 2017 but I suffer for headaches for a very long time that I just ignored because doctors cannot gavecme a direct diagnosis, I lost my vision for 1 month due to migraine and I also experienced with paralysis, but till now my neurologist just gave me 1 medicine to take ahead before the migraine hit me, but I constantly feel the blurry vision, and I don't know i I need to consider it to go back to my neurologist because I bother me most o the time

@@holdenburris648 I started with a journal and wrote everything I done on the days I had a migraine. I included everything from Food, duration of sleep, how I felt, fluid intake etc.
My triggers all happened after strenuous exercise so I know I need to eat the right foods before and after I worked out or played sports, take electrolytes and limit caffeine.

@@MrPeanut17lufc i ve tried that with my son (16) who suffers from aura migraine since winter 2018. The funny thing is he only ever had aura migraines from September to december. Untill now..... he lies in bed right now with migraine. We couldn’t figure out what soecifically triggers his aura migraine but most often it was after sport. The first time he ever had it it was after jumping on an indoor trampoline. After that it was usually after basketball but not always, Sometimes we suspected a shower directly after sport but never could put a finger on it. Today it indeed started after a weight workout and after eating. Blind spot started, then funny colors and later the migraine starts. Well that was his planned playstation evening i guess. Poor guy 😔
He already mentioned he felt kinda weird/sickish/weak during his workout..,. so maybe this time it was the combo of not having eaten + working out

@@StephyPlantBased I'm only using my example here. I narrowed mine down to caffeine, lack of water and added in some electrolytes. I've also added more zinc and magnesium every day and before I exercise I have a supplement called "Electrolyte Plus" made by myprotein. I double my water before a workouts and drink more during. My migraines definitely happened more when I sweated more.
I stopped playing football due to an injury for a few years and when I went back, I was having a migraine after nearly every session. I haven't had a migraine now in nearly 3 months and before that was about 6 months.
There isn't a common trend with a lot of aura migraines but I've definitely decreased mine massively over the years. If you do need any more info I can leave my email address and I'd be happy to send over everything I've done over the years.
I hope you get to the bottom of it.

@@MrPeanut17lufc my son takes magnesium on the daily. (around 3 grams which turns out to be 300-400 elemental Magnesium i believe) he also takes D3, K2, Zinc, Omega3, Iodine, a Multi from time to time.... Yea, i guess it’s not possible to really prevent it from happening sometimes as not every day is plannable. But i am glad u found some things that helped you. Most of the time we seem to do everything right since he didn’t have aura migraine for 4 months now. I just hope it stays this way. Thank you for ur input 😊👍🏻
