How to Use Crimp Beads with Loops

  • beadaholique.com - One of the easiest ways to finish beading wire ends is to use crimp beads with loops on their ends. These pre-attached loops make it very easy to then just attach a clasp via jump rings. Use these crimp beads with loops the same as any other crimp bead and use crimping pliers to crimp them.

    Hi! You really need crimping pliers vs. flat nose pliers to get that good solid securement.

    Does the bed Actually hold really well because I’ve always liked the tubes because you loop back in and then cramp and you can run the wire down. This just seems like if you had too much weight on the necklace like more than a pound it would come out is that the case or not

    Hi, thank you for showing us how to use a crimp tube. I would like to ask you how to use the crimp tube to secure a ball chain and what size of crimp tube to be used, for example for a 1.5 ball chain.
    And another query, how does the tube not break while pressing it with the tool?
    Thank you for your time and help.

    I have a necklace with beads on 22 gauge gold color wire. Could I use this crimp tube on that? Would it need another size? Thanks Diana

    I was trying to use this on a box chain and after the first cramp when I would turn it to do the other side when I would squeeze it would then flatten the part I was squeezing but open up the other side that I had just crimped shut

    Hi there, I just tried to make your Lustrous Loops Earrings, I bought everything that the tutorial said to, the wire I used was .019 soft flex versus the 0.18 flex right, that was the only difference, I watched this tutorial a heap to make sure I knew exactly what I was doing, I know it’s super simple and I didn’t need to watch it that many times, but I’m a tad of a perfectionist. It was difficult trying to get 3 pieces of wire in versus a simple piece of chain, but I got them in, and I went around the end over and over to make sure it was stuck on there perfectly, then when I thought any more squeezing would be Really overdoing it I stopped and I gave a gentle tug, and guess what happened ... all the wire just slid right out ..... I’m devastated and have absolutely NO idea what I could of done wrong or done differently, it’s a simple task and it seems I may just as well trash everything bead related as if I can’t even do this then what’s the point ☹️😢

    • @VioletSkye19
      @VioletSkye19 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just to add, I tried this again and again and every time they’re just sliding right out of the crimp end, and it’s impossible for me to crimp it anymore than I am. I honestly don’t see why something that should be this simple is this impossible. I was wanting to make these to sell and now I’m looking at my dreams falling apart 🙁

      Hi there Violetskye19, so I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I just re-tested both wires; the .019 and the .018. And It may seem minor but the .018 was indeed more secure. What crimping plier are you using? I would try the Xuron 4-in-1 because it gives a nice v shape so it will hold better. I think that will help you tremendously. Don't give up. Okay, no now for the bad news. This is a Design made by Beadaholique for the purpose of personal use. And what that means is that we ask that you not sell our original projects and kits by our in-house design department. However, please feel free to use them as inspiration for your own creations. We love that you love making this design and we hope you continue beading!

      Beadaholique Hi there and thank you for replying, I’m sure you have a ton of other things to do other than TH-cam replies ! I am using the same crimping tool as you, I bought it from you after seeing it used so often in your videos. I did look at another video on crimping and I noticed they mentioned to keep the wire nice and flat (I’ve never crimped before so I’m learning right from the beginning here) I wasn’t aware that I was supposed to keep this flat and I kept turning the end of the crimp around and around recrimping it over and over, could I possibly of done the wrong thing and I should of been keeping the cables all flat ? The other video was also doing tiered loops like this one. Oh and I think I didn’t explain one thing properly before, I’m NOT planning on copying your design of these colors/placement etc, just using loops of wire to make earrings is all I meant, and I’m so sorry if you thought I was going to copy your design !

    I Realize This Is A 10 Years Old I Enjoy Watching It However I Do Have A Question Can I Use The Magic Crimper To Round The Bottom Instead Of Flattening It As Another Option 😊 Thanks 😊

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Great question! I think you will need to experiment with that since these are not magical crimps to go with the Magical Crimper tool. I think it would look lovely and it might work, but it would take some experimenting.

    I've seen some of these on Amazon and ebay. But they look really heavy duty and uncrimpable. Is there a dif?

    On Etsy, it shows that these are only useful for leather cords. Would I be able to use this on a box chain?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure these would hold as well on box chain as they do on the beading chain you see in the video. Beading chain is a little sturdier, it won't compress as much when closing the crimp onto it. However I think if you wanted to add a small bit of glue to the crimp before you closed it then it would hold perfectly. GS Hypo Cement is what I'd recommend beadaholique.com/products/g-s-hypo-cement-precise-applicator-essential

      That might work with a large enough crimp, we've done something similar with wire in order to make a claspless necklace: beadaholique.com/collections/instructional-beading-videos/products/how-to-finish-a-strung-necklace-without-a-clasp

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I would not recommend nylon cord for this technique. I think it's too thin and will slip out and the metal might actually cut the cord.

    • @beadaholique

      1mm wire should be fine, if it ends up being a little loose you can also use a tiny dot of glue, we like to use G S Hypo Cement for that: beadaholique.com/products/g-s-hypo-cement-precise-applicator-essential
