Although I suspect 40 miles range is totally unrealistic, I suspect this thing would work well up to 25 miles as a commuter ride. You ride the 20+ miles to work, carry it to your office or cube or whatever, and plug it in. By quitting time you are are full charge and it can take you home easily.

Just read your review on the 9 Bot. I am thinking about purchasing one but I have a number of other scooters in mind as well. I have never owned an electric scooter and I am buying one mainly to ride on trails and bike paths. As a long, long time rider of high powered sport motorcycles, I can give you a tip about cornering that you may find handy. When turning right, lean right and push on the right side handle bar simultaneously. The same goes for left hand cornering. Lean left and push left to go left. I know this sounds counter intuitive but it really works. It is called counter steering.
To change miles an hour it’s in settings. There’s two different types of settings you have to go to both of them in the app you will find it keep looking
Do i have a defective unit? Or is it normal for a high frequency screech or squeel sound to come from the back wheel area when you start to accelerate past 15 mph?
43 lbs though. Can you carry it? Yes. You really don't want to walk around with it though. I didn't see any really good location on the scooter to use to lock it up, for example to a bike rack or whatever.

Later on, I was riding on my bicycle as my friend was on the ninebot, and it didn't take long before I wasn't able to keep up. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers.
