Love your channel. My buddy Michael Bohn from elementary/middle school was the screamer. Dude had Tourette's syndrome and ended up being an awesome screamer/singer.
I was about to write “same brah” and then I remembered what the date was. This shit is timeless; we need more music like this today. 2023 let’s goooo 🤘
+bitebullet745 DUUUUDE ES is fucking epic man, especially the new album, not all of the songs but the album is great, I love The Last Garrison the most.
Man, this song makes me sad at the end, when the waves are crashing on the beach. The fact that it was released when I was 16 makes me think of 10th grade, and how I first took surfing lessons in elementary school with my best friends. I wish I surfed more, here in San Diego. CALI MADE. It makes me think of all the times I skated in school, all the way up to community college with all my friends. It's sad I won't see them ever again, being 27 years old and it a much different social position than I was back then with mental health, and other personal ISSUES. I wish I was younger again, but life goes by too fast. If no one reads this, just know I might not be alive after you read this. So, give me a good RIP.
Hope you are still here my dude. I was 16 as well when this came out and turning 27 on the 28th. Life comes fast but, enjoy it. We are still "young". Do what you want to do. Go meet new people and surround yourself with people that want you to be happy. Keep it kicking!
I can't believe Ive never heard of this band...it's 2021...man time completely wasted listening to asking Alexandria and all those metal bands....but this music...Holy hell.... I've been listening to this non-stop for the last 6 months... Almost every single song is good.
its hilarious how issues goes from suicide silence to sleeping with sirens within seconds, and then some random dubstep thrown in, but i really love this song
Julius Caesar any part where there is screaming its pretty heavy sounding to me I juts said suicide silence because they are well known for being heavy
I have quite a varied music taste - it goes from metal, rock, post-hardcore to '80s pop, hip hop and alternative. I don't give a single shit what anyone else says,i love my music and i love this band :)
Man these guys were ahead of their time, so many bands are pulling stuff like this now, specially the mix with the dj, the whole nu metal/core vibes. Good shit
There were such good days and everything now is just so complicated and fucked up. Getting harder to live and more things to stress out about. This reminded me so much of my hot summers, hanging out with my friends and having no worries. I miss these days so much. Song brings. me back in time every single time.
Funny how people think that something that is labeled metalcore or whatever can only be good if it's heavy, or follows a generic pattern of breakdowns and shit. Issues are not trying to be heavy, they're trying to be different, and they are. And they're god damn good at what they do
Not trying to be heavy? Are you serious? No generic breakdowns? Genre classification aside, they're using the same staple breakdown drum beats and chugga chugga crap every other scene band adores; and don't even get me started on the trap-style intro and leads. This is what happens when the industry tries too hard to stay relevant amongst today's youth.
Mate you could not be more blind. The whole "No this totally isn't metalcore BREAKDOWN" intro has been done to death, there's no fucking way you can tell me those verses aren't the same generic chugging every other band does and then the fucking tween-friendly chorus is not something I can say is new. I'm not saying it's bad, music being fairly subjective in that regard and all, but you're so very, very fucking wrong about them doing something new.
HumbleKami they are doing something new.Tys DJing, Tylers R&B parts, AJ's unique guitar style. name one band that is similar to issues in almost every way. you cant.
I'm not saying they're a complete copy/past of any single, other band, but nothing they're doing is completely new either. The heavier parts are fairly standard for almost every band of the genre, techno is used by, like, 50% of the genre, but if you want specifics then you've got Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack, Bring me the Horizon, among many, many more. The intro isn't an exact copy/paste of anything in particular either, but post-hardcore in particular is rife with songs that open in a way that intentionally sounds like a different genre and then smacks you in the face with some chugging immediately after. It's mostly used in covers of pop songs, but Issues is certainly not the first band to pull a fast one with originals. Again, I'm not attacking the band or trying to tell you that you shouldn't like them, maybe you just like the way they arrange their not-so-unique styles together more than other bands or maybe you originally didn't care about how different they were (which, really, you shouldn't) and liked it regardless, and now you're just pointlessly trying to defend a point because you feel like someone's insulting a band you like.
Why the fuck are people so preoccupied with categorizing what genre this is? If you like it, great! If you don't like it, great! Just listen to it for what it is!
This song is so amazing. It gives me chills every time. Issues wouldn't be Issues without Scout. Tyler's vocals are just so amazing. Michael's screams are epic. AJ ad Sky kill it with the guitar and bass. I'm not completely sure if that's Case or Josh on drums, but either way the drums were amazing. Giving love to the whole band because I hardly see the other members ever mentioned. One of my favorite bands.
I always find it funny whenever people hate on cleans. These guys aren't like August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, or any other band that is just all screams/growls. With this type of music, cleans are appropriate, flow well, and definitely add to the power and feeling of the song.
Kinda sucks to hear such good music then see a lot of "real metal fans" hating on it because it's "not metal" Isn't the whole rock genre by itself supposed to be about expressing who you are despite what other people say.?
***** Would you stand next to pile of rotting garbage, pointing at it and shouting out to people passing by, stating that it is a pile of garbage? I don't think so. So if you think this is garbage, why are you still here? The rest of us dont think its garbage.
***** While I respect your opinion, I do believe it is flawed. Their general style of Metalcore/hardcore/nu-metal/Whatever the hell you wanna call it is meant to stand out and not really seem normal. Listen to any one of their songs and the transitions will be awkward, they'll throw you off, but if you listen, it's in time, it goes with the beat. I don't understand how you think the singing is terrible, Tyler Carter has a great voice. The lyrics are ehh. But how, exactly, does Nickelback come into play here?
***** I am neither one of those things and I disagree on both fronts. I know many people who also are neither of those things who also disagree on both fronts. Nickelback isn't necessarily good, but they are talented enough to get big. Issues are pretty damn talented and it's definitely out of the norm. It's not bad, it's just not their/your cup of tea. So, from now on, I suggest that you be able to define the line between bad and not your style.
This song is so memorable for me. Bit of a story time but: Issues and other bands like them helped me so much through my depression. I didn't know anyone else who listed to Issues, until I was in hospital. I was in a psych ward for 15 days, and I heard this song playing out loud from another guys portable speaker who had also been admitted due to suicidality. I remember shyly saying, "Is this issues? I love them!" Of course I knew they were issues. But the biggest smile came over his face and he said, "Thankyou for existing". We bonded over this awesome music and talked. It was something I will never forget. I said that I loved this song and he played it again for me. I always think of him, wonder if he's doing well now!

Yo this band is amazing live. Saw them yesterday at Warped Tour in West Palm Beach. They played last, but they were definitely worth the wait. They closed warped with this song.
the song that got me into Issues. Still a banger pushing boundaries song. Aside from all the drama, Issue's music is a template of diversity of taste can poured into Metal music.
A ton of you are degrading this song by saying the cleans are unneeded or trashy or that the mix of music is too much. This is, and always has been the same Issues that released Black Diamonds. I think the flow of all these types of music sounds perfect with the good balance of heaviness and cleanliness. This is what Issues is about.
Jay S It actually isn't perfect, but that's what makes them stand out. Tyler stands out like a sore thumb yet somehow they make some good music. It's almost like he's an outcast who's making it work
So much shenanigans to this song. this song also helped me develop faster cleans and better screams. Thank you issues for being a slightly different kind of pop punk!!!

2024 anyone? ❤️ this song is my childhood 😭
Saw it live in 2014
Omg I'm so glad I found this song, I used to listen it with my brother some years ago
still the best song in 2016!!!!!
Does anybody know why this was taken off Spotify? All that's available is the acoustic version
At least they have the balls to try something different.
I thought it was beautiful.
