I grew up on this dudes street. I played with his little sisters. He was always playing the drums. He was a little shy. His mom was the nicest human being I have ever met.
This is why rock will always be my favorite, The passion, the message, oh and nothing more is amazing......Wow 2 years later and so much has happened in the world, Hopefully all you fellow rockers are staying safe, Cant wait for some new Nothing more to rock out too.
That vocal range though.... I work in law enforcement and had my music going when a pursuit kicked in. This song came on mid pursuit and i swear to god it was a magical experience. Recovered a stolen car and returned a man priceless pictures his daughter made for him. Was awesome and the first time i heard this song. Pandora totally turned me on to you guys and you guys rock. Please come down to the new orleans area and see a real good time!
One of the greatest rock voices of our generation. The most original rock band we've seen as well. These young men deserve every dollar and accolade coming their way and they certainly deserve them all!!
Uhhh... Jonny is definitely an amazing vocalist. Original, though? I wouldn't go that far. I hear both Myles Kennedy and David Draemin in his voice. Just saying. It's unique, but not that Original.
Blows me away this was released 7 years ago. It still holds as much weight as it did on that first day. Something haunting and angry that soothes the lost soul 😌
I’m 58 and for a few years I’ve been asking for a metal band who have a positive message in their songs, so glad I found you guys, I have been reading and studying men like Allen Watts for years now and you guys are a breath of fresh air, thanks
Colton Morrow - YESS! Yesss!!! Hence why I’m here!! I love this band! But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised it was this one! Didn’t expect that!!!
Edit:"I literally listen to them every day." No disrespect, I'm simply fixing an autocorrect mistake for you. Your welcome. I'm sorry, I'm always being told how sarcastic I am without meaning to be. I'm working on it. Even when I type I sound like an adshole. I'm sorry sincerely. I hope I don't hurt your feelings and if I did I regret even trying to attempt to fix a stupid typing error on the computers part, not yours. You have an amazing taste in music and I feel the same way about your opinion too. My girlfriend asks me all the time, "do you have to listen to those songs everyday?" My response,"yes, I have to to soothe my soul."
This song never fails to give me chills. I'm so glad I randomly heard Mr. MTV on the radio. Seen you guys live 5 times now and you never fail to entertain. You just keep getting better.
This man's voice is the most emotionally stimulating thing i have heard since old school linkin park. That softness and the Edge of a Screamgrowl what ever its called. I'm a guitar player and normally focus on that in any song I listen to but this guys voice is so good that its not untill i wrote this that i realised how powerful their frontman is.
+dobby240 I'm right there with you on this. I rarely focus so intently on the vocals but this guys voice is fucking insane. Reminds me a lot of the guy from Boy Hits Car. Another great frontman and got some real nice guitar playing too. You should check them out if you don't know them already, dude.
+Project•Vanko boy hits car are great I have heard of them. It's very hard for singers to impress me and even more so this guys voice is quite high but his diversity and clarity is just brilliant
+Project•Vanko NOTHING MORE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!, If You guys enjoy Nothing More then like Night Prism on facebook, Ben A. (Drummer) of Nothing More is drumming on 2 of the tracks and absolutely kills it, EP to be released early May. So Please give us some start-up support before we hit you with some EPIC TUNES in the coming months. We'd Greatly Appreciate it. -NIGHT PRISM
I will give them a spin. I just got back from a local show I went to after my shift. We have a responsibility to get the music alive! Now my all time album to make money to and drive hard is Marilyn Manson "Antichrist Superstar" or Metallica "Master of Puppets" but I am old. Tonight I had a mix of Linkin Park, New Alice In Chains, Starset, and Nothing More. That worked out great!
How am I JUST now hearing this song!?!? Have been on repeat for the last hour. Absolutely LOvE everything about this song. The slow start and build, his tone in this song, and let’s not even talk about the perfect lyrics! Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!
Darroh Sudderth of Fair to Midland has a full 7 octave vocal range.( some would argue 8) Johnny Hawkins doesn't have quite that range but he does have an amazing voice.
As a teenager I was a Tool lovin' drummer, now.......I'm 37, married, have 3 kids, (including a kicka** teenage son who self taught how to play the guitar ) and.... I LOVE this band NOTHING MORE! Why haven't I heard them before? Can't wait to get their albums and start cranking up the volume again!!!!
This song should have won every rock award it could possibly have been nominated for. Best track from the year of release. Epic af and will be a banger that never loses its place in time. Absolute masterpiece.
They’re completely badass live. Their stage presence is phenomenal and I would probably pay ridiculous amounts of money if I had to just to see them again. I’ve seen them twice and they do NOT disappoint.
I want to see them live so BADLY. I've been in love with Nothing More ever since I was little, I'm 16 now. I know pretty much all of their songs by heart. I would do anything to see them in person!!
kittenswithketchup I agree. I'd say "progressive metal" is the perfect description. I grew up on "metal bands" -- this is definitely "metal," however, the lyrics are quite amazing and profound. I just heard them for the first time today. Definitely a thumbs up! Good stuff!
G0DM0NSTER he is one of the singers that belt as high as he does and still enjoy cause they get it a little whiny but he usually pulls it off insanely well
This song was one of the first ones I ever heard live. They opened for Middle Class Rut and Chevelle back in 2014 and although I only knew a few of their songs at the time I still was absolutely in love with their music. After the main act got done the singer was actually hanging out by the merch area and me and my friends spent a few minutes talking to him and he was great! I ended up giving him a hug before we left and I spent the next few months addicted to their music. Love to see these guys getting so big and the recognition they deserve!
There's something special about his voice... He doesn't always use it, but uses it beautifully in this track. It's very heartfelt, the kind of song that I feel to my core.
Seeing these guys live at aftershock was quite possibly one of the best performances ive ever seen, that lead singer puts his ALL into performing. Great voice and showmanship even in person.
When did we become these sinking stones? When did we build this broken home? Holding each other like ransom notes Dropping our hearts to grip our brother's throat You can't see because you don't know You're caught below, beneath your own shadow Stuck inside, half alive Do you ever stop to ask yourself why? Close your mind, identify Do you feel, do you feel? Do you call this a life? All you waited for Drowning just to keep score We always start with good intentions But lose ourselves along the way This is the time that we let it go These are the words that will take us home Singing the song that's inside us all If we don't open our eyes we're walking blind Anchored in anger, we exile ourselves Bitter blood builds our prison cell Darker water now fills our lungs The depths of our heart have blacked the sun You can't see because you don't know You're caught below, beneath your own shadow Stuck inside, half alive Do you ever stop to ask yourself why? Close your mind, identify Do you feel, do you feel? Do you call this a life? All you waited for Drowning just to keep score We always start with good intentions But lose ourselves along the way This is the time that we let it go These are the words that will take us home Singing the song that's inside us all If we don't open our eyes we're walking blind Naked we come, naked we leave Fools we are, to hold tightly We are the jail, we are the key We are free, we are free This is the time that we let it go These are the words that will take us home Singing the song that's inside us all If we just open our eyes This is the time that we let it go This is the pain we are forced to know Singing the song that's inside Inside us all, inside us all Walking Blind
+Tom Mcmahon I read this yesterday and had no clue what the fuck you were talking about. Today I was listening and heard it randomly. Now I can't unhear it.
My mom passed away when I was 19 due to an autoimmune disease and I knew she only stuck around longer than her time due to my bad habits and mental health with my sui*ide attempts, this song sticks with me and I can’t ever get through the first set of lyrics without balling because of how relatable this song is to my situation and now I’m 9 years clean of opioid addiction and alcohol, I got in a very bad relationship that made me fall back into some bad habits and I told myself I needed to leave and finally did, now I’m almost a year clean of heavy drug use and I did it all for her, I know she wanted better for me and I continue wanting to make her proud even tho she’s not here I know she’s here with me and that I needed to stop blaming myself for her passing, even tho I have a lot of healing to do still I thank you for putting out such a relatable and moving song…
Maybe he thought the water was cold and other times he probably is warm on stage that he doesn't need it. Or he probably doesn't want the water on his stomach
I heard this song for the first time when I was 14, almost 10 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was about 2/4 am and I was laying on the couch in the pitch dark alone with my little mp3 player/radio. I was listening to a rock station, I can’t remember if it was local or not. The recent song had just finished playing when the host announced, “Up next we have something new here for you, this will be the first time we play this song on the station. This is by Nothing More, titled this is the time.” It was the best experience of my life listening to a new song. It was literally music to my ears and soul. And ever since hearing this song, I always have to make sure to add it to my playlists and listen to it. It means so much to me since. Thank you Nothing More!!! Can’t say it enough, I love you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Probably the best song on the radio right now, and not just because it is so catchy and intense. Lyrics like these are almost never publicized. On the contrary, hatred, bigotry, and ignorance are all glorified because it's easier to behave in that way - hubris has destroyed reason and self-control. I'm so impressed that a modern rock group is willing to move against the grain and give people what they need to hear. Many compliments gentlemen. On the music side, the intro and verse are strongly reminiscent of "Black" by Sevendust, which is one of my all-time favorites. By no means a copycat, you've managed to improve the intensity and delivery of that same riff. 10/10.
I'm here in an abuse shelter. These guys have saved me from committing suicide, got me through some bad situations, and is my daily inspiration to go on every day. I love these guys, and so did my friend before she passed on. It sucks, but it's something everyone goes through. Tough times won't stop at the most vulnerable out there, unfortunately. I have a pretty messed up history, don't know my birth name or social security number for privacy reasons, but still humanity never fails to amaze me with both it's beauty and it's splendor. Stay up, everyone.
Hi Kathryn, I just wanted to say I used to be like you - on the edge. Thats when I discovered the truth - I found Christ, or I should say He found me. I learned we are all here for a purpose, and everything we go through has a reason. Our Father in heaven is real, and we are his children put here in this circumstances as a test to become worthy of inheriting ALL He has to offer us. If you look for Him, He will come to you, you just must keep an open mind and look for His signs as "coincidences" in the world around you. God Bless, stay strong
Good Advice my friend. Stay Up. Goin through a monumental change in my life. After 30 yrs with one person I am done. I stumble onto Jenny and it went from there. Now they are on loop. “I’ll be ok” and so will you.
They are coming to Canada on the Periphery "Juggernaut" tour with Wovenwar and Thank You Scientist, not sure if they are coming near you though. Going to see them tomorrow :D

Damn I forgot how hard this band rips. I remember this coming out in 2014 and seeing them live pretty soon afterwards and they fucking killed it. They they would switch instruments and do like percussion jams mid set and had cool performance elements that spiced up the live act. It all flowed with the set/never felt like a gimmick. Cool ass band
They definitely put in their time and paid dues before getting signed! I remember seeing them throughout the years at local shows around Texas, early 00s - onwards.
Wow I thought I was seriously the only ones who thought I loved the hell out of both of them! Have you guys ever heard of Fight the Fade, Escape the day, Devour the day, From Ashes to New, or even Our last Night? These are bands that deserve a lot more of attention.
DusTiz Back 1º - Fight The Fade's songs lyrics may be good, but their singer voice is as good as any other, and to say the truth, the only thing good one their songs are really the lyrics. 2º - Escape the Day hasn't a single popular, and in my opinion, any good song. The vocals between the two singers should be better... 3º - I bet you are only talking well about this band because most of the members used to belong to Egypt Central. 4º - From Ashes to New are one of the most popular bands of this year. Especially on The AMV society. Good part of this year great AMVs have their songs as audio. But the band still has a problem. They only have release five songs until now. 5º - I have to confess, this band kind of plays good songs. But most of them are from another famous bands. I guess their only famous music made 100% by them is Dark Storms, but I have my doubts about this music. 6º - Don't get angry because of this. There are a lot of bands with talent that don't get to become very famous. Like SR-71, Like a Storm (for now...), We as Human (For now to...), Crossfade, The Unguided, Royal Republic, etc.
S- Pain I agree with you on pretty much everything except Escape the day. They do have a few entertaining songs. I also like We as human too. They are awesome!
Nikki Sixx brought me here. This song was his #1 sideshow pick for several weeks! All the top 10 songs shift around sometimes so the song is #3 currently. But for quite a while this was #1. Love this song!
Ryan Holmes He sounds like Sonny Moore a bit (back before Skrillex) - check out waves goodbye by From First to Last. I love this cd more than all of from first to last though, it's great :D
This is unbelievable guys. You have great things ahead of you. My friend introduced me to your music and I've been in love ever since. Can't wait to see more videos! I'll continue to support!
Chuck Norris They probably do love their fans but I seriously doubt it is actually a member of the band replying. Probably someone like a publicist who is paid for such things.
Nothing More I'm assuming maybe an HID ballast? LOL Idk. That's what I think when I think of ballast. Ballast for HIDs in vehicle headlights. I'm a car girl. =)
Reed Leighton You don't have to be an electrician to know what a ballast for HIDs mean. And yep, a car girl. A chick who's interested in cars... works on cars... gets her hand dirty... I guess you don't know too many. You're going places, bruh. =)
We have been blessed to watch NoMo bloom into a rock juggernaught. What you are seeing is 10 years of blood, sweat, and tears. These guys deserve everything coming their way. The live show is legit. Get out, and SUPPORT these guys.
i thank god i met this someone who introduced me to this band. its his favorite and now its one of mine. they’re so good but under appreciated, they actually deserve more recognition. so much love and support for you dudes.
+Justinius Builds NOTHING MORE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!, If You guys enjoy Nothing More then like Night Prism on facebook, Ben A. Haha yup this song is absolutely amazing. And especially one of the last verses were he says 'this is the pain were forced to know '........ damn that line right there seems to speak directly to my soul. It's huge to me for many reasons.
This song got me onto Nothing More and holy shit, I haven't heard a song on the radio that got me to Google the band so quickly since...Animals as Leaders maybe like 5 years ago. Incredible lead melodies, and that modern prog metal guitar sound is what really interested me. Glad to find out that they are actually into fun time signature changes and real prog metal roots! I'll be spinning this song in between sets at my band's shows to get more people into them, too. Will definitely purchase all of their earlier albums as well. Their FB posts just add to their overall image and ambiance. Keep up the good work!
I can not stop listening to this song. I played this song on the guitar for a talent show. Anyway love it! Thanks to my sister she is the one who told me about it
That's bad ass!!!! I know you more than likely absolutely killed it!!!! I totally agree with Nothing More!!!! I would love to see the awesome performance your high school!!!! I wouldn't doubt it if you absolutely blew their minds!!!!
Destiny Fortney Well, that's awesome!!!! They couldn't have gone wrong, choosing you as the winner!!!! Especially with your music choice!!!! Hope you do just as awesome next year at the next talent show!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
Dear members of nothing more. Found your band by algorithm on you tube. This was such a enormous gift for me. You're miles away from other bands. Every song of your last 2 LP's is absolutley phenomenal. My favorites are fade in fade out and ships in the night but only 1% more than all other songs. Every part of each songs is well done. The lyrics are sensationell - think you all read a lot of quantenphysics etc. Sadly that a lot of the people in my life don't know your band and the sensational songs. I will do everything to change this 😉😁. Hope you will tour in germany as soon as possible. Greeds from a new big big fan from germany and please excuse my bad English.
Nothing More is very, underated and not given enough attention Edit: Holy shit stop with the "ye, sure **current amount of views** isnt much huh" this was nearly 4 years ago when this song didn't have 1 mil. Fkn stop with that comment.
Don't worry mate, They are doing huge shows and are lot more popular than they were a year ago..I have been following them from a long time, I certainly see the fan base getting wider...
@R. Alex Same here. I found jenny in my recommendation when i was listening to some rock song, It was just few weeks since they released Jenny. I loved it, Started exploring them and became their huge fan as almost all the songs from their album were good. New Album was great too. These guys are amazing. These guys are one of the best modern rock band out there.
+broken angel NOTHING MORE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!, If You guys enjoy Nothing More then like Night Prism on facebook, Ben A. Hands down one of the best songs and best bands ever!!! I absolutely love everything about Nothing More and the passion each member puts into their music!! This song blew me away when it came out, still does to this day and always will!!! Many people have said this already but I’m gonna say it as well, they are a very underrated and unappreciated band and that absolutely astounds me! This song and many others of theirs has gotten me through some very horrible times especially the nasty divorce I am still going through after a year and a half!! Please don’t ever stop making amazing and beautiful music!!
***** Yeah im gonna agree with ya on that. sidenote fuck skrillex. and if ya didnt hear spencer sotello (periphery) is gonna be playing with From First to Last
WARLOCH24 I'm not much into Skrillex, but I love Ellie Goulding. And, the guy from Periphery has a voice and a half. That man's got a monster voice, and he's got that cool cave man look going on. :)
This is the first band/song that I remember exactly what I was doing when I first heard it. It was on one of those endless music channels, on cable. (I love rock music and I have my favorites but this was and still is the only one I can remember what I was doing.) I was cleaning house, stopped and wrote their name down. They were never played on the radio in my area. I had to seek them out elsewhere. Been a fan ever since! Thank you Nothing More, best wishes to you all.
EDJR0 Their okay, FATN sounds too much like Hollywood Undead and old Linkin Park to be the next big band rock band, can't find that Stardust band unless you possibly mean Starset?
Saw these guys a few weeks back at The Machine Shop. I've always been a fan, but that live show really upped my appreciation for the intensity they bring to their music. Just an out-freaking-standing show.
Their most complete and powerful song. I wish there was a song on their newest album that I liked half as much as this. The beginning is an all-out assault, his vocals awe-inspiring and wide-ranging, and throw in a killer cadenza for good measure.
@@cameronrichner3108 That might be my favorite song ever...If I Were is amazing, too. Then again, so are Do You Really Want It and Go to War...these guys are just soooooooo good.
I just came here to say this is one of the best songs I've heard this DECADE. I don't know how many time I've listened to this since 2014. I remember sending the link to every fuckin person I know. The unique voice, the simple yet compelling main riff and the song structure, that goddamn intro, the lyrics, the outro that begs you to bang your head on your knee. Freaking masterpiece.
I never thought that I would like music like this but damn. I grew up listening to old country to where i was listening to new country but now i'm liking stuff like this. This is so incredible. I'm so glad I broke from my roots enough to listen to this. Absolutely amazing. Go to War seems so different than this bit both are spectacular! Thank you for this music.
Only found these guys a few weeks ago and I can't stop listening. Love all the albums, songs are so passionate and incredibly produced. I kinda wish they included the intro track with this song instead of separate but still amazing none the less.
For years I stopped writing. For years I just drew a blank so I gave up. When this song blasted through my speakers a overwhelming feeling to write came back and this song did it this song alone and I'm so happy I found Nothing More. This band it's members are truly blessed with a gift. This is what I wrote thanks to this one song. These chains grip my ankles, the stones of a past that can't be let go. I stand and watch the waves crash against the stones beneath me, the roar of the ocean screaming at me. The weight I know will pull me under, I inhale once more and drop the weight. I succumbed to the weight pulling me down further and further below to the ocean floor, I close my eyes slowly and let the water fill the empty space inside. I feel faint and weak, the world starts to fade slowly and grows cold. My body motionless and calm, the peace of silence has settled in, my mind is empty and my heart is black. I can't hold it anymore and the panic sets in... I reach out for help and there's no one there to grab my hand, there's no one there to help me heal this pain... I curl into a ball and scream, I continue to scream and let all of the pain out as my lungs fill with the water that shall be my coffin. I close my eyes and accept my fate... There is no one who can help me... I drift into a sleep and Ip hope I never wake.... Moments later I'm laying on the beach, there's no one around me, my clothes soaked. The beach empty and quiet, then I hear her voice, "This isn't your end, there's more in life I need from you. Please stay strong and I will be with you until the end." I fall to my knees, the tears begin to flood my eyes and roll down my cheeks, I look around, and find, Nothing More than a white dove.
Nothing More is from our hometown of San Antonio and we've looked up to them for years great job guys! album was killer hopefully we can join you guys on tour soon
I grew up on this dudes street. I played with his little sisters. He was always playing the drums. He was a little shy. His mom was the nicest human being I have ever met.
R.I.P. to his mother
Haha!- i read that assuming you were a guy & it sounded kinda sus at first xD
My dad knew him growing up said he could sing awesomely back then 2
I know him to my BSF is his gf girl
Did he ever play with you?
This song is pure genius and vastly underappreciated.
Zoharargov 20 mil! They are doing alright!
Band*
Tou think they're underapreciated look up chevelle they're the moat underrated and underplayed band in rock music
@@joedenhardt4604 Truth.
@@joedenhardt4604 they are okay, and very underwhelming live
This is why rock will always be my favorite, The passion, the message, oh and nothing more is amazing......Wow 2 years later and so much has happened in the world, Hopefully all you fellow rockers are staying safe, Cant wait for some new Nothing more to rock out too.
same dude
As a fan of Linkin Park, this band is the only other band I've heard that is even close to L.P. in so many ways.
Better than being some criminalistic thug gangster wannabe... Pimps are rapists and entrap little girls...
Oh wow, 2 years later didn't expect to see 300 likes, lol
This song has so much more meaning after 2020-2021. Good art is timeless.
My friend who I lost 3 years once requested me to play this for him. I miss that man and I'm glad he and I shared music like this.
Thank you! And thanks for protecting NOLA. It's my hometown! Much respect

Oh I bet that was bad ass ❤ !!!!!!
I'm a simple man, all I need is GREAT music...NOTHING MORE!!
Blows me away this was released 7 years ago. It still holds as much weight as it did on that first day. Something haunting and angry that soothes the lost soul 😌
2021.
Couldn't agree more!!!
Yesssss! Well said.

His voice is both badass and beautiful
Nothing more
I agree
Anti Venom Fuck yes! ❤ saw them 2 weeks ago. Seeing them live was just glorious 😝🤘
The manipulation on his voice is too much to overlook.

The vocals on this should make it song of the decade! This dudes voice is like something from another fucking planet!
I mean this is a fucking great song but putting it as the number one song of the entire decade is giving it too much credit.
A masterpiece.
I’ve never heard this song before your cover. This song is awesome and your cover was incredible as well! Big ups!
Thank you covering this.
I hadn’t heard this in years. So glad you got me to come back to it.
I love you! I loved your cover of this :)
Your amazing cover of this brought me here! Never heard of this but im going to be checking these guys out more! Thank you!
The emotion. The screams. The music video. The lows. The highs. The everything.
Still gets me even now. 2019 🤘🔥
So glad I saw them couple years back.
I honestly think Nothing More deservers so much more fame than they already do, they are such a great band. I literally them every day.
spy909ify nominated for grammay :)
They’re blowing up finally
Honestly I prefer no because when bands starts to get game they start being so commercial
I just saw them last month. They are so good. Underrated.
Edit:"I literally listen to them every day."
No disrespect, I'm simply fixing an autocorrect mistake for you.
I'm so glad I didn't skip this song in ITunes Radio. I love this song so much!
Lol same here
We al do
Emily S. same! xD
Lmao same!
+Emily S. Makes me want to twirl hula hoops that are on fire, or something just as incredible!
Agreed. The guy is definitely a one off with the bands that are about these days. The track I'll Be Ok is another one that he just blows me away.
+dobby240 very very stimulating >.> :)
His range blows me away especially when he switches to lows. Omg
Stephen Hill - Wait a second here...
@@stephenhill1716 😂😂😂
@@stephenhill1716 yoooooo wtf 🤣🤣
I like some parts... But other times he reminds me of the sound of music... I don't like his lows but his highs are definitely something new
too bad its a studio thing, hes nowhere near that live.....sad but true.
I'm a delivery driver and I wait all shift for this song to come on! I love it. I just bought the album. You guys are awesome.
Many thanks!!!
Nothing More I too am a driver and this is some money making music. Audio adrenaline! You guys and Starset are my favorite bands of 2014. Thank you.
Gary Bowen Try Gemini Syndrome too!!
Lol! I'm a delivery driver, too, and I allwayyysssss blast this song when it comes on!
His range is incredible. Just mindblowing.
Dude it seriously is ridiculous then take that and mix it with his ability to throw out those deep growls. Fucking amazing vocals.
same
Fair to midland
Darroh Sudderth of Fair to Midland has a full 7 octave vocal range.( some would argue 8) Johnny Hawkins doesn't have quite that range but he does have an amazing voice.
Thomas reminds me of sonny from first to last (now skrillex) and cole from saosin
As a teenager I was a Tool lovin' drummer, now.......I'm 37, married, have 3 kids, (including a kicka** teenage son who self taught how to play the guitar ) and....
I LOVE this band
NOTHING MORE!
Why haven't I heard them before? Can't wait to get their albums and start cranking up the volume again!!!!
Oh how I wish I could go their concert in March in Atlanta, Ga!!!!! (closest to my home)
I would definitely take my son, Dylan!!!
Rock on
My brother and I discovered Nothing More about 6 months ago, and we constantly listen to them. We agree that they were our greatest musical find ever.
Awesome thanks!
Nothing More I can't wait for you to come to Bogart's in Cincinnati,Oh. I hope I can get some tickets.
Almost 10 years later, and this song is still one of my absolute favorites ❤
Still get chills at 4:30. Does anyone else love it when the bass guitar and drums sound like that?
its essentially a breakdown, yes its meant to sound badass! :) lol
@@discoveranceband Hell yeah! That's why I love it
i think they should have had implemented more of this sound throughout the rest of the entire song, or maybe a second track release version
man this was the song that got me into nothing more, and every time i come back, even 8 years later its still so fucking awesome
This and Jenny 🤘🤘🤘
@@slipknotron1626 this whole album, MTV, Ill be ok, sex and lies, god went north, and all the many others

That'd make sense
You have not the slightest idea. This song saved my life one night.
glad your still here. be blessed hun :) live life to your fullest!
This is the best Metal Album I've heard all year.
I like it, but this ain't Metal.
Josip Sinković Uhh, how is this not Metal? It's Progressive Metal.
kittenswithketchup I agree. I'd say "progressive metal" is the perfect description. I grew up on "metal bands" -- this is definitely "metal," however, the lyrics are quite amazing and profound. I just heard them for the first time today. Definitely a thumbs up! Good stuff!
kittenswithketchup
Hmm i guess you are right. Maybe im just to used to heavy metal. See ya
Bluemagus Wait you've heard the album? Is it leaked? It says above June 24th but i can't wait that long :/
Just saw these guys open up for Disturbed a couple of days ago. They put on a hell of a show.
I've seen Nothing More 7 times live and they are hands down one of the most underrated bands of all times.
Jonny's range is insane, he can sound so different in a multitude of songs.
G0DM0NSTER he is one of the singers that belt as high as he does and still enjoy cause they get it a little whiny but he usually pulls it off insanely well
G0DM0NSTER seeing them live was absolutely amazing! Hit every note😊
BrittySykes sadly, nothing more pulled out from my venue and I was extremely disappointed. Still love them though
His singing is impressive but what really is special is the writing.
Myles Kennedy has been my fav vocalist for many years, I think this album has changed my mind
honored... Myles is a baddass.
I'd still put Myles and Steve Lee from Gotthard before Jonny. But these guys are really good!
There's something special about his voice... He doesn't always use it, but uses it beautifully in this track. It's very heartfelt, the kind of song that I feel to my core.
Vibrato!
Seeing these guys live at aftershock was quite possibly one of the best performances ive ever seen, that lead singer puts his ALL into performing. Great voice and showmanship even in person.
When did we become these sinking stones?
When did we build this broken home?
Holding each other like ransom notes
Dropping our hearts to grip our brother's throat
You can't see because you don't know
You're caught below, beneath your own shadow
Stuck inside, half alive
Do you ever stop to ask yourself why?
Close your mind, identify
Do you feel, do you feel?
Do you call this a life?
All you waited for
Drowning just to keep score
We always start with good intentions
But lose ourselves along the way
This is the time that we let it go
These are the words that will take us home
Singing the song that's inside us all
If we don't open our eyes we're walking blind
Anchored in anger, we exile ourselves
Bitter blood builds our prison cell
Darker water now fills our lungs
The depths of our heart have blacked the sun
You can't see because you don't know
You're caught below, beneath your own shadow
Stuck inside, half alive

Congratulations on your sobriety!
Keep fighting. Every single day keep fighting. Your mom is watching down on you proud.
Keep fighting the good fight. I'm rooting for you!
Most people take their shirt off when it gets wet but thats the only time Jonny puts one on.
well he wants "nothing more" than to show off his abs :P
haha
Maybe he thought the water was cold and other times he probably is warm on stage that he doesn't need it. Or he probably doesn't want the water on his stomach
Hypothermia is a very serious thing!!!!!
The black paint he usually wears would pollute the water, so he's gotta get that look some other way
Years later but man this song still hits so hard
For sure. First heard 'em on Octane back 2013/14 on a road trip, and I keep coming back.
All their music still hits me. I don’t care how many times I’ve heard a particular song I’ll still cry like it’s the first time.

By the way Jonny (the vocalist) was born in 1986 (he's 35YO).... we may consider he's our teen. :D
Thanks Matt Jacobsen Really glad its hitting you so strongly. Come say hello at a show.
Why am I just finding them now?! SO GOOD!
This band opened up for Five Finger Death Punch and Breaking Benjamin last night, which brought me here. They were great!

I don't know you but keep it up ! ^^🤘
@@aiko9635 I will for sure. Rock on.
@flint exactly my experience!! completely lost till i found Christ. i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

These guys and Starset have loads of potential. Both groups have caught me totally off guard and now I'm a fan of both.
Same here! The Starset album is amazing also. I really think both bands have a bright future.
Wow I thought I was seriously the only ones who thought I loved the hell out of both of them! Have you guys ever heard of Fight the Fade, Escape the day, Devour the day, From Ashes to New, or even Our last Night? These are bands that deserve a lot more of attention.
I really like what I've heard from Devour The Day also! Haven't heard too much from the other bands though.
He melts my heart with the notes he sings. I get chills and sometimes he makes me cry from the beautiful lyrics, especially in Jenny.

Thank you!!!
Nothing More You know they love their fans when they reply to comments that aren't even in their channel
Chuck Norris
They probably do love their fans but I seriously doubt it is actually a member of the band replying. Probably someone like a publicist who is paid for such things.
+Jeff Pierson usually it is, but in Nothing More's case the band actually does reply to many of the fans on social media and other platforms :)
This song and this bands energy will never get old. All these years later and it still gives me goosebumps.

I was looking for ballast as in the kind for lighting and found this instead which I am glad to discover. Great song.
Nice. Like the kind in a fluorescent light fixture? You must be an electrician then?
Nothing More I'm assuming maybe an HID ballast? LOL Idk. That's what I think when I think of ballast. Ballast for HIDs in vehicle headlights. I'm a car girl. =)
kissmeblindful So we have electricians. The greatest up and coming band from 2014. And a car girl. This comment strand is going places guys.
Reed Leighton You don't have to be an electrician to know what a ballast for HIDs mean. And yep, a car girl. A chick who's interested in cars... works on cars... gets her hand dirty... I guess you don't know too many. You're going places, bruh. =)
kissmeblindful There's also a ballast in fluorescent lighting in buildings. Hence the electrician assumption.
We have been blessed to watch NoMo bloom into a rock juggernaught. What you are seeing is 10 years of blood, sweat, and tears. These guys deserve everything coming their way. The live show is legit. Get out, and SUPPORT these guys.

This was 10 years ago? I've been missing out a lot. These guys are great.
Right?! They ROCK!!
Nothing More is very, underated and not given enough attention
Edit: Holy shit stop with the "ye, sure **current amount of views** isnt much huh" this was nearly 4 years ago when this song didn't have 1 mil. Fkn stop with that comment.
Don't worry mate, They are doing huge shows and are lot more popular than they were a year ago..I have been following them from a long time, I certainly see the fan base getting wider...
same with the band highly suspect. sometimes it can keep a chill fanbase though.
i was a big fan of three days grace until Adam left.( Matts doing great but i personally just prefer Adam)
Well 24 million hits for one song is not bad lol :D
still love this song so much❤
Best. Opening. Ever.
Never heard of these guys before, but I am majorly feeling their lyrics bigtime. And the video and song are making it to my playlist.
+broken angel NOTHING MORE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!, If You guys enjoy Nothing More then like Night Prism on facebook, Ben A. (Drummer) of Nothing More is drumming on 2 of the tracks and absolutely kills it, EP to be released early May. So Please give us some start-up support before we hit you with some EPIC TUNES in the coming months. We'd Greatly Appreciate it. -NIGHT PRISM
+broken angel The lead singer is my mom
Trivium ninepointzero Brutal
By "boned" he means cried on their shoulders after they saved him from the girl scout curb stomping his ass.
your mom sounds like a kind person, wish she was there when I got mugged by girl scouts
All I Can Say Is, Thank You Nothing More!
Thank YOU :)
You're Very Welcome :-)
My God they’re perfect. Their videos are insanely perfect. Perfection fed directly into my ears and eyes!!
Heard this while waiting in line in Six Flags. Holy digitty. I've repeated thid 14 times in a day.
Totally love it.
You gotta check out their other stuff, they have 5 albums out
Wow, Six Flags has great taste!
I absolutely LOVE this song! The singer has the coolest voice. The video is cool, too. :)
Check out Sonny Moore, The singer of Nothing More sounds ALOT like Sonny Moore
iFrndlyfire Thanks for the recommendation. I checked him out, and I'm not sure I can agree with you. :)
If you like this guy's voice, you should check out Fair to Midland.
This is EXACTLY how I discovered them, too! 🤘🏻
They're almost a quarter of a way there to 1 million. This is going to be the next big rock band. I know it.
Exactly what I'm thinking
surge2k7 I honestly see From Ashes To New and Stardust being the next big rock bands also. Check them out if you haven't heard them. They're amazing.
They're getting good press here in Michigan leading up to their appearance at DirtFest in August.
EDJR0
Their okay, FATN sounds too much like Hollywood Undead and old Linkin Park to be the next big band rock band, can't find that Stardust band unless you possibly mean Starset?
***** That's what I meant. Starset. I must've had a Gemini Syndrome song stuck in my head that's called Stardust.
the way it transitions from the intro i get chills every time i love it
This song is 10x better than any pop song ever. I wish rock wasn't so underrated!
Saw these guys a few weeks back at The Machine Shop. I've always been a fan, but that live show really upped my appreciation for the intensity they bring to their music. Just an out-freaking-standing show.
thats one tallented vocalist. and the band really blends in well. found them by there song jenny
+yaacov benjamin that was one of my favourites by them! You listen to any of their others?
+Price Bae all of them. love almost every song
+yaacov benjamin i found them in the same way... mr. mtv is also a cool song..
yeah, never gets old
+yaacov benjamin mann if you think these songs are good might as well listen to them all
Their most complete and powerful song. I wish there was a song on their newest album that I liked half as much as this. The beginning is an all-out assault, his vocals awe-inspiring and wide-ranging, and throw in a killer cadenza for good measure.
Agreed, man.
Nothing will ever come close to this song, or their self-titled record, for that matter.
Both of you really need to give "I'll Be Ok" a try. The vocals on that _fucking_ song...
@@cameronrichner3108 That might be my favorite song ever...If I Were is amazing, too. Then again, so are Do You Really Want It and Go to War...these guys are just soooooooo good.
Nothing More is so underrated, I hope to see them in a concert soon.
You will if you havent already trust me
I just came here to say this is one of the best songs I've heard this DECADE. I don't know how many time I've listened to this since 2014. I remember sending the link to every fuckin person I know. The unique voice, the simple yet compelling main riff and the song structure, that goddamn intro, the lyrics, the outro that begs you to bang your head on your knee. Freaking masterpiece.
Decade hasn't been going very long yet
This came on my local rock station today. About damn time. Love this damn song!
Whos here in 2024?
🫡
Hell yea Im here for it 🤘
Had to come back to these bangers.
Ask your self why
No
I'm not sure why but anytime I hear this guy sing it makes me emotional and I start tearing up. I have no idea why. Love this band!
I don't usually like things on TH-cam, this deserves a like... best of luck to you.
❤️
I am happy for you please keep writing
Amazing
Wow... ❤
Whoever had the idea to get these dudes drenched while playing their instruments, thank you 😍
Stacy Sankar At this point I think you drenched them

Stacy Sankar I second this comment. Amen
52 years old and this song is one of my all time favorites. And from some good Texas boys! The Vevo acoustic is even more amazing!
