Thanks for this support. I *generally* avoid clickbait titles, don't feature Seiko or Rolex in every video, and I stay away from the feuding and politics of YT watch channels. This hurts my view volume, but it also keeps my audience upscale and civil. The drawback of pitching to the largest possible audience is that sensational content and huge view counts tend to draw a wild crowd of people -- some of whom are always looking for trouble. For what it's worth, my WBR channel gets 5-6 times the volume of this one, so I'm doing OK purely on a volume basis. Best, Tim
I very much agree with what Tim said about watch price: I’m exhausted ! I feel foolish to spend car money for industrially manufactured watches… My next watch will be that white gmt Tudor !
The Tudor Black Bay GMT with the "white" dial is a great value watch as Tim mentioned. The color of the dial is really opaline. If you look carefully at the hour markers, they are a brighter shade of white then the opaline white dial. Just a little detail that Tudor added to the design. I am not sure if the bezel is the same red/blue as the black dial version of the GMT, but the bezel really pops with the opaline dial over the black dial version, IMHO.
Thanks for being honest. I don’t own an Oris, but it is a great deal. I am 70 and remember when the Riviera came out. Beautiful car. Really different tan anything else.
Tim, a great show every time! Love the conversation around value and all the comparisons/options. You are 100% right about watching headlines...we'd think the world was falling apart if we read them all!
I do watch baseball and auto racing through online streaming, but I only read news. TV news is hard to stomach for more than a few minutes. It drives me crazy when I go to visit my parents and 24-hour cable news channels are playing in every room all day long. Best, Tim
I've got a ton of mileage out of that jacket. I bought it at OTC Newport's uniform shop in 2009. Honestly, it's the longest-lasting article of clothing I've ever owned. The collar is still stamped internally with white ink and my initials for OCS "RLP" inspection. Best, Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews Yup, I love cars, all cars. That was me with the Dayton’s and the Ferrari FF, different pics over the last month. I love off-roaders too!
Tim will you ever get a Karma GS6 or some other iteration? By the way, I bought a 2nd x71 for my Blancpain and the new x71 is de-contented. Less finishing on the underside of the bracelet and the logos are stamped, not engraved.
I'm very sorry to read that about the new X71. Sadly, that seems to be the direction for most major brands these days. That's one more reason why I mostly favor small independent brands or midsize independents like Sinn and Oris. Those have a good recent track record of making products better, not just cheaper to fabricate. As for the Karma, I'd love to own one. The used market reflects doubts in the brand and its staying power, so used Karmas are a buyer's market. Plenty of former $100K+ cars are floating around for $80-85K. If I hit my savings goal for the next year or Berkshire Hathaway decides to buy WatchBox, I'll go for that used Karma. Best, Tim

@@BenTramer I've sold the Volt, but I have only one enclosed space to protect a "fun" car. That will go to the Karma, and the Karma will displace the Corvette. The quartz GS I think will come to be seen as a real collectable in a decade. Heirloom quartz.
Sadly the lack of micro adjustments on the bracelets is a real disappointment
