4 years geez where did time go, I still love and play this game endgame is kinda slow and just repeats of killing scorchbeast queen and Earle but I still find enjoyment in it, I just love how Appalachia looks and feels sounds corny I know
Despite the bugs and shortcomings this game had at launch, im proud to say im one of the few who emerged from vault 76 at launch and stuck with it through the bugs, i rebuilt appalachia so that others could come and resettle. I was among the first to greet the new settlers in wastelanders and i conquered nuclear winter. Despite its rocky start, this is a great fallout game as of 2024

While I had heard some...not exactly pleasant things, about Fallout 76, I reserved judgement until I got my hands on the opportunity to play it myself.
And despite it's bugs, shortcomings, etc., be they at launch or at different points of time now...I think I can safely say that I wouldn't ever call 76 a bad game.
It's definitely not the greatest Fallout game by any means, my love for Fallout will always belong to New Vegas first and foremost.
But I refuse to call 76 bad, or a bad Fallout game, or anything of the sort, because it really wasn't. It definitely didn't have New Vegas level of story or anything like that, but to call it bad just because of how unpolished it was at launch just...feels wrong to me.

@@xtcyrafa You just grind and grind, do a lot of looting for better weapons, armor or just looting for materials to build ur camp and more. Doing some main quests or side quests is fun too. Fighting a variety of enemies, bosses, exploring the whole map which is the most fun part imo, it is just all about grinding. It's kinda difficult to get somewhere, but its fun.
I agree, I stopped playing for a year but I recently got back into it, just hit lvl 375 and I love it, the story the fact I can just basically autopilot the game and just wander around and collect junk and the new Nuka world on your update is awesome. They truly made this game enjoyable for the fallout fans, the real fallout fans, cause even when it was bad all that did was weed out the people who don't understand how to have fun and what is left is a community that is amazing
I tried to play fallout 3 and fallout 4, but i get bored after all that walking and boring npc's, glitchy movement and what the hell i didn't see nothing interesting 🤔, what's the deal with this game? Why u people play this?

Rough around the start but now an amazing game.
Ya they have made it a lot better. It used to get terrible fps and crash my system. Now I max out often at 144fps and doesn't crash. Definitely should have waited a year or so to fix all the bugs before they released it. It's now how it should have been at launch.

Its been 5 years. All the friends ive made, the memories... all of us brought together by Bethesda's Appalachian wasteland. I continue to play this game with my friends today, whether they be friends i met in Appalachia, older friends or newer friends, i always come back to Appalachia with them. Fallout has been a staple of my life, truly, since fallout 4 came out when i was 12. One of the only things i truly have memories of is Fallout.

Happy birthday, Fallout 76! You turned 5 years old and I haven't changed one bit. I've been there since the launch, and I'll continue to be there until the end of it. The road might have been bumpy, but you made it. This trailer still lives in the back of my mind, rent-free, and so does the game in my heart. I still remember my hype for it, and I'm still getting excited with every single update. Everyone can say whatever they want about you. You changed a lot since then. For everyone reading this, the goal of Fallout 76 wasn't to be the perfect rpg solo game but rather a fun gathering from different kinds of Fallout lovers to share their own passions. Fallout 76 literally is the saying, "It's not about the goal but the friends we made along the way," and I find it beautiful. Congratulations to the team who made it.

Say what you will, the game has a cool premise and there’s definitely a good idea for the Fallout series. It just wasn’t executed right at launch, they should’ve let it cook in the oven a little longer before release.

In all seriousness, when the soldier walked to the edge of the road just to see the bombs drop knowing that there was nothing close to him to protect him, and when he looked down and saw the bombs dropped, he took it in like a man and witnessed the mushroom clouds and dying fearlessly

I dont think most people know how big of an impact this trailer had in getting Country Roads into the mainstream culture where it genuinely has joined the newest generation as though the song were released with this very trailer.
To this day this trailer still give me chills.

I remember when Fallout 76 inconveniently launched at midnight (my bedtime at the time)
I lived with my father and we were both huge fallout nerds and we wanted to play when it launched

It was a nice touch placing vault 76 in West Virginia in honor of our country.
During the beginning of the civil war, the union was suffering devastating losses and was losing almost every battle. Despite this, People in western Virginia felt like they were disgracing their forefathers and so they seceded from the confederates and became a new state of the union. “West Virginia” despite seeing their country on the losing side, they would rather go down with it then be rebels. Loyalty at its finest. 🇺🇸💙

Or, the fan base is the soldier, the nukes are 76 and China is Bethesda

@Bouaziz Elia Yeah I had it year one but Wastelanders definitely improved the game, still think there didn't have to be ANOTHER BOS faction, but still improved
I just bought fallout 4 and 3 again, no way in hell purchasing 76. I would rather replay those than ever try that shit experience again.

@@AstralShot i thought so too but its just so boring after you finish the wayward quests. They make you think the rest of the game will be that good but its not. I stopped playing when that dumbass raider robot kept sending me across the entire map several times for useless shit.

@@deiradinn and that's how they get you with these live service shitpiles. Release on hype, bank the money. Put a smaller team on it, build the game up slowly over years eventually kinda delivering what you promised but not really.

@@frankiepollock7380 they actually had a big player base from the get go. Live service or "MMORPGS" aren't shit piles imo. It wasn't ready at launch but that's almost every game, even not open worlds or love service games.
