Can you put the controller and phone away in a bookbag etc and still have it track you? If im hiking or biking and need both hands. can i take off the joysticks and just put it in the bag? thanks

Great to see another good video from you. With active track I have no experience yet but that is going to change this year. I am going to design a support for the controller that can be placed on the bike. All existing brackets do not, for my taste, comply. I am going to design a click bracket that is easy to install and remove without difficult screws.
Thanks Ronald! They sounds really good regarding making your own bracket, maybe you could sell the design to one of these Chinese companies that make the others! Active track is a great tool I have to admit :) thank you for watching

This is exactly the problem with the mavic 3 my friend, I can’t test it due to the UK regulations
I've been supremely happy with Active Track on the Mini 3 Pro. I am, however, disappointed that the waypoint planning feature is only in Hyperlapse, and not for actual video. So now we're left with waiting, yet again, for DJI to release the SDK for Litchi to pick up and patch the feature holes.
I heard they may not do it this time....
It just goes to show how important line of sight is and why in situations like this it's best not to try to fly solo. Great test! Thanks Gavin!

Had my mini 3pro 6months...active tracking myself and my own car is at the bottom of my got to do list...maybe I'm too scared 😱
Don’t be scared just take it steady and keep your eye on it and as you can see it wil do a great job 👏🏻
I’ve no idea what the fascination is with Active Track, it can’t frame a shot correctly (my biggest sticking point) and often goes haywire. I’m not interested until I have more control over these issues!

I actually think the mini 3 pro does better than the mavic 3 for active track although I've sold my mavic 3 now because to many rules and didn't get to use it so much but gav that footage looked brilliant and yeah that was very close to that street lamp lol. Yes I see no point for the mavic 3 when the mini 3 pro is so capable, don’t get me wrong it’s good but it’s a lot of money for something you can barely fly anywhere. Iv had two very close call one similar to yours , mines avoided the lim post/cctv camara post another close call returning to home flew back as crow flies straight thru a pylon pheeew lol

Cheap drones fly back to a homepoint in China, expensive drones follows the wrong car back to China 😆
A screen like at time 01:05 pops up now and then without asking for it, having the hands on the joysticks. In the same way a full blue screen appears having "Go Fly" down to the right. Not amusing at all being in a tight situation....
Suppose I position the drone at a safe altitude (not hitting over hanging tree branches) behind my veteran train, locks it to follow, and set of with the train. What would the odds be for success and a survived drone? The speed limit of the train is 50 km/h, 31 mph... Sports mode will manage.
What is the precision of the altitude control? Is the altitude related to a certain angle to the object followed?

its been a bad day for me, my drone was stolen off my bike rack today im gutted.
