Over the moon that you've made an ambidextrous design. As a lefty, it's near impossible to find a rifle with these features that I can comfortably use. I had to dig a bit to find this info out, so please make it a point on your website. I cannot wait and am happy with the changes you've made after listening to feedback. Cheers
Certainly will have an option, tho in the short term we won't change the extraction side, but we make sure it wont end up in your face. :) Good point on the website, will add it!
Hey guys love your product, but a controversial take... 9 News went after the pump action MPR308 recently and Aussie Reviews took it down with a copyright strike (Thank god!). That's not to say these rifles are comparable... But are you blokes concerned at all that lever release centrefire rifles in the near future could have the same fate as the ones in the UK a few years back? After all this could be the fastest firing centrefire on the market for CAT B license holders. I love this idea and I've been following this product for a while and hope you guys are successful. What are your thoughts?
Hi mate, a couple things. The Speedline from Verney Carron is a 308, 3006 or 300 win mag centrefire that has been on the market for 3-4 years already with no dramas. We are now just adding to the range with the Eureka 223. There is always a risk for legislation to come in and change the status quo e.g. WA. However, we believe that the lessons learned by the politicians during the Adler fiasco, will lead for QLD not changing course again. The labour goverment thought that it was a good idea to take the shotguns from farmers when they needed votes in the far north....from the farmers. Didn't go so well. A lever ban would cost the tenth of millions if not close to 100m just to buy the firearms back. Any government would certainly not gain this in voters back. That said, politicians are sometime not logical so who knows really. Either way, we are making a legal firearm and we would encourage as many people as possible to get one because in the end the more we have the better the chances that they won't do anything about it. Plus it is most likely that they grandfather the rifles if they restrict them, so better get in quick. Bastian
Very interesting rifle, guys, nice job! I love the workaround for the local laws! Any plans to export a standard semi-auto version over to us Yanks? ;-)
Hi mate, thanks, there will be semi and there is no legal reason we can't export it to the US. The commercial issue with the US is that it is cheaper for you to buy a brn180 than our gun. So unless we manufacturer overseas (Asia) there is no way we can be price competitive. Hope that makes sense?
Yes mate, 308 will be coming after the 9mm. After that we don't know yet, we will put it to the customers to decide. After all we are making it for you guys!
Gentlemen, I wish you all the best with this project ! The only comment that I would add, learn from the “others” mistakes. Telling customers 6 months delivery time, and delivering in 2 years is just going to “Warwick”everyone right off. A quality, reliable functioning firearm will win over price every time. Aesthetic are nice, but Cerakote option’s can mask an awful lot of crude detail. Cheers
Thanks mate for the comments. We certainly will be late for this or that reason, it is very complex to source all the parts at the right quality and there are always fuck ups on the way you didn't account for. We believe in inform the customer on every delay. E.g. If i know it is going to be late by 4 weeks because there are some issues with barrel samples that need further testing....I sure as hell appreciate the communication and honesty, rather than just not getting an answer whatsoever on delivery dates. We try to do better and be open about it....ask me in 6 months if that was a good call or not :)
I have preordered gents, quick question: Will we get serial numbers in line with the time at which we placed our pre-order, to reward those who backed you early?
Yes, the serial numbers will be in order of order. However, there are some dealer orders that are ahead of your order so the number may not match the number of the receipt. That said, we are planning on something super cool and you will like it for sure, stay tuned we will announce it in the next few weeks :)
Please add or engrave something on the left side of the action. (at least as an optional add-on for non-NSW buyers) A whole plain surface looks a bit ugly... Looking forward to your final design
Thanks for the feedback mate, much appreciated. We are weighing up production cost vs beauty, and for us production cost wins as it will enable more customers to afford the product. That said, we are also big believers in customisation so that customers like yourself can make it the way they like it. I'll take the feedback on board and will see if we can offer an add-on engraving look. A production step like that would probably cost 200-300 bucks extra (gut feel). What do you think?
Will an 18 inch barrel be available for the stockade? I am thinking I want a bit extra velocity compared to the 16 inch barrel (and to differentiate it from my 16 inch Taipan) but don't want the rifle to be too unwieldy/frontheavy with a 20 inch barrel when working out of a ute, especially with the muzzle blast deflector and potentially a bipod on it. I know it's a bit niche, but it would be nice to have in my opinion.
Thanks for the suggestion. From a manufacturers' perspective there is always a trade off to way up the number of options vs the cost of manufacturing as more available options increase the cost of the overall product. With the stockade we are aiming at an affordable solution hence we have to be very restrictive on the number of available options. That said, you can always cut the 20inch down which would only be 150 bucks from your local gun smith if necessary. At this point we are bringing out the 16 and 20 inch, that is not to say we don't bring out 14.5 or 18inch in the future.
We are positive it will be. Unfortunately, we don't have proof until the first firearm is registered in a specific state as there are no hard and factual descriptions on what the gun can or can't look like. In other words, there is no definition on what is "scary". We will advise as soon as possible and we will certainly work with the authorities to make this rifle available in NSW and any other state or territory. I know this wasn't a definite Yes or NO, but these are unfortunately the times we live in.

Keen to see some more photos with the hand guard on
We have just finalise the hand guard design, it will be uploaded this week to the eurekaguns.au website.
Very impressive boys, I’ll be really keen to get my hands on one hopefully with (1:8) twist
Yes, there will certainly be a 1/8 barrel available.
looks great fellas and like others have stated, happy that it's ambidextrous. I know it's still early days but are plans for 308 on the horizon ?

@@AustralianSportingAgencies Great. I would definitely pay extra to make it look more like an AR.

Will it take P-mags?
Yes Sir!
Love it great stuff ❤
Thanks mate. More to come
Any news on this being accepted in NSW?
