I'd take one in Blackout, any plans?
Will be officially announced shortly, so you are first to know. :) Yes will be available either in August or September.
Is the Straight Trigger design the final design, or will it get a traditional curved trigger?
Straight as an arrow mate! No curves here. Once you feel it, you will appreciate it.
The Buck Master PB 5 rounds more fun than 2 rounds double barrel shotgun
Yes and once the 10 round is out you get 8 more rounds of fun :)
Hi, I bought the Verney Carron Veloce 12G and Speedline in .308 about 2 years ago. But I will be looking to sell them and get the Buck Master Gen 2 & Chimera .308 now. The forend button position is much more ergonomic for follow up shots than the lever release on the Verney Carron's. I am very impressed by the design. Thankyou for bringing these to Australian Law Abiding Firearms Owners for feral pest control! I've subscribed and will be following closely for their availability. Cheers, Dan
Thanks Dan. Just to make sure you understand what you would be selling, the french quality is certainly better than the Turkish (reflected in cost of the product) but I get what you mean about the mechanism, if you are not working from inside a vehicle or from a tripod the forend button is certainly a better choice.
Just think, in 10 years time this might just be Australia's Cat B answer to the AR, with every Aussie youtuber banging on about their Eureka Stockade as though no other rifles exist. With the right balance of affordability, accuracy and reliability it might just happen.
that would be my and the teams dream come true moment.
Awesome! I've been wanting a Buckmaster for ages. Now I'm not sure whether I should wait for the box mag version. Decisions, decisions!
The box magazine is unlikely to happen before end of year, so your call by when you need one. Plus the cost will be higher as the receiver is significantly different and is more like the Chimera than the buckmaster.
My condolences Jim ❤️
Getting any firearm into anyone’s hands in Australia is such a chore…. exactly as the government wants.
yup mate, it certainly is. Rules are an issue if they are subjective which they shouldn't be or when they are not applied equally. Fingers crossed we get through it.
Very excited to get my hands on one. Will be getting my gunsmith license very soon so I’m keen to see what I can do with the chunky foregrip. Would love to see the Rossi style M-lok foregrip on this bad boy
me too mate!
Hey Bastian , will you be releasing a video of the rifle functioning before you release these for purchase ? Do you have a release date in mind? Cheers Ronan
Hi mate, there will be several videos in the near future. I am just waiting for my 5 test guns to finish (hopefully next week) then there will be torture and accuracy testing videos. So more to come. Production start will be this month, deliveries are starting in August.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies Sounds great mate . Cheers
How are you looking with approval Bastian ?when do you envisage the website going live ? Cheers Ronan
@@user-sr8wv6uy4m Hi mate, the director of weapons licensing has met with the inspector of ballistics yesterday. I was meant to hear back from him after the meeting. Obviously that hasn't happened yet. So stay tuned on that one. In regards to the website, I have completed 90% of the options and am just editing the videos. The pricing will be completed tomorrow, so I am positive for sometime next week. (if we get approval from QPS as we need that first)
Cheers mate
Can’t wait
Thanks Brendan me too!
Will I void warranty if I spray paint the rifle? Awesome work love Australian made
Very good question, I am not sure. The warranty document has not been written yet so I just don't know at this point. I will ask Eureka Gun Co to include a comment.
I had a buckmaster out of the first shipment way back and it was a nightmare. I’m running Templetons now they are unreal. Your 308 will be cool if it runs
Hi Stuart, sorry to hear. The previous distributor has done heaps for the guns to work better and we have further improved on that as well. Now they works fantastic, but I understand your frustration. We will ensure that the 308 works when it hits the market.
Forgive me if this has been covered. But what is a rough estimate on the price for the end user?
Hi mate, we were aiming for $2500 but I need final pricing from Eureka hopefully this week.
🇦🇺😎👍Great effort mate 🇦🇺🏁🇦🇺🏁🇦🇺🏁
Thanks Big Trev :)
Great looking and functionality hope NSW can approve it
Thanks mate, so do we :)
So far so good! I have just a few questions. What barrel lengths can we expect? What profile will the barrels be? Will the barrels be threaded?
Hi mate, all barrels will be match barrels. The weight is lighter than the standard barrel and it is more accurate, also better heat dispersion. They are available in 16inch and 20 inch in either 1/8 or 1/12. All barrels will be threaded with 1/2x28 and will come with a flash hider/muzzle brake
Really like that retro, standard stock. Reminds me of the SLR. British army. (Great gun!)
Thanks mate!
I want one! Just waiting for my licence. This will be my first gun.
Great to hear mate! Put a pre-order in to save yourself a spot in the line. You don't want to get your license in a month or so and then wait another 6 months for the gun if you can help it!. If you sign up now you are likely to get the gun in september/october
I am really surprised. QLD "weapons" licencing have been great with me up until now. I am not the greatest fan of the police, But! I live on a boat and I didn't have an in date passport (pommy), So by the time I got a new one my application would have expired. I was expecting them to try and stop me at the first hurdle. They have replied to my emails the same day normally and have been nothing but helpful. Credit, where credits due.
I agree, we see a positive trend in the right direction. Hope that continues.
This will be my first rifle. Take my money!
Now that's a statement!
Maybe a bit of a weird question, but have you guys tested whether dryfiring the rifle will cause any damage to the firing pin or other components?
Dry firing will not cause any damage beyond the normal wear and tear of live fire. Actually less. So feel free to go for gold dry firing.
What does it weigh?
Best guess 105kg
Seems like its going to run hot 🤔 id best send you guys an email 😉
She will mate
I was hoping for a type of lever release that had a lever that reset like a trigger so that the bolt won't go forward if you hold the lever down too long while shooting. I can imagine some timed competitions or pest control where you are going for speed. This may cause a disadvantage by causing a round to be loaded but not able to fire it. I imagine it wont be impossible to modify the lever to reset assuming there is room in the receiver wall? I do love this project and I am glad there is some new Australian made rifles like this!
Thanks for the feedback. Believe me when I say this is a non-issue. In practice you won't have that issue, especially if you trained. In terms of modification, many companies have tried to make it work in a centrefire but failed. We understand how difficult it is and left it alone. That said, once you have one and you work something out, let me know.
@AustralianSportingAgencies I've got a cnc machine, I'll try and work something out. I know it took a bit of practice with the PB12 shotgun, I might try an adaptation of the sear system used in their button.
@@sionsoschwalts2762 please touch base with me if you get something going, would be super interested in seeing it.Maybe we can put it into production
@@sionsoschwalts2762what have you done to a PB12 shotgun for the lever
@kruzewillmott6934 just using the push button as a template for an auto reset dropping sear. Another option is to copy something from an open bolt pistol/smg that is semi-automatic.
What happened to Australians lol
I know right?!
I've sent emails to the details on your website and received no replies - you're way behind your promised schedule AND your customer service is pretty bad - not a good start mate. I really truely hope you pick it up and that it turns out well. I'd love one of your boom sticks once I see they are in other peoples hands. No way I want to be in the first batch problems.
Ahh, that’s what I love about my fellow Australians, so f**k**g supportive.
@@GHHunter740 Ah mate, I am supportive - I'd love to own one of these and that's real support: buying the product. I am just complaining because I noticed these months ago, the website promised dates already past, and when I emailed requesting a timeframe or update i was totally ignored... that's worth mentioning, no ? It IS constructive criticism and not holding it against anyone, just threw my commentary in there. Whatever mate. Can't hack it, then don't read it.
@@foff-666 HI mate, apologies for that. send me one directly to action@australiansportingagencies.com att: Bastian. Originally we expected to release in March. However the barrel manufacturing has taken significantly longer than expected. Which in all honesty is a good thing as it gave us 3 months more to refine the product and I think it will pay off big time. Hence, I am positive that Gen 1 will work. Production of the receivers will start this month, the barrel will arrive end of July and we will start delivery in August assuming QLD police gives us the last green light in time. Final torture testing should commence in the next 2 weeks.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies It's all good mate i'll email you again and definitely will be a customer i love the design and can't wait for it to be ready! cheers
Will the original angle cut fore-end be an option still?
I know right? Was my idea and I liked it. Turns out the majority did not. We may have different forends in the future that you can buy after market, so stay tuned.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies definitely grew on me - will be picking one up then when they’re available
@@demby3554 make sure to pre-order from your local dealer of eurekaguns.au otherwise you will have to wait a few months. We are now at 600 orders, so the first 3 months are booked out.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies already ahead of you boss 🫡
Bastian , how long do you think before state approval and option selection going live on your website ?
2-3 weeks max.
Exciting times ahead, thanks
@@user-sr8wv6uy4m yup!
Will it be possible to fit an arca Swiss plate to the fore end on the chimera 223 ?
Great question. I hope to bring out a tactical forend in the future with M-Lok. The current version has a pic rail, so you would need a pic to arca adapter to make it work.
Thanks for the updates guys, much appreciated 👏
Thanks chief!
Nice design. Saludos from Argentina.
Muchas gracias tio!
The way that grip has that lump under the trigger guard looks a bit off .
Cheers for the feedback, the reason it is there is because we set the grip further back so that normal sized men can actually pull the trigger properly. We found that the AR has the trigger way to close to the grip. You could almost think they were built for kids hands.
looking very good Mr Rick
It would be good if that tool could be designed to fit inside the hand piece or in the stock. That way its always on the gun no matter where you are
Sorry mate we tried and it won't fit it.
Rest assured you can do it without the tool, Rick and Jim are just bit sensitive :)
Looking good fellas. One question. What is to stop the charging handle from coming loose and unscrewing when shooting. I noticed it was threaded and just concerned with the hammering it will get, will it come loose over time and risk losing it?
HI mate, great question. Unfortunately, I can't give you an answer because the guys don't want to share the answer at this point. They seemed to have worked out a smart way of doing it and they don't want to let the competition know how they have done it. Obviously the secrete will come out eventually. In short, it has been considered and resolved.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies all good mate. As long as it’s been considered and addressed that’s all that matters. 👌
Great work guys, great to see so much thought put into this design . are you guys thinking of putting a couple of QD sling points
Yes they will be available to purchase when you customise the gun. You will be able to QD sling to the M-Lok and butt Stock and buffer tube.
Just suggestion, make a guide for the cleaning nuts. If you just made it from nylon and it can slip in the upper, they will be even happier!
I think this is for someone to make aftermarket. good idea tho!
Will you sell overseas?
We are considering exporting, however we will only start with that once we have satisfied local demand as we won't want local customers to wait longer than necessary. Where are you based?
I'm excited to support an Australian made product. What calibres will it come in?
It’s good to see Australia doing some great engineering.
Thanks Glenn, indeed! My biggest concern is that the gentlemen are all old and I have to do a knowledge transfer before they cark it on me lol
@@AustralianSportingAgencies😂😂😂
Beautiful piece of engineering. Work of art. Would love to see some machining videos. Love the detailed review. Can’t get enough.
Thanks mate. Scott just bought a gopro for that purpose :) Its coming :)
@@AustralianSportingAgencies can’t wait
Looks good, manufacturing is hard work! coming along nicely.
Unsure, I just sit back and shit happens....so I think its easy.....from my desk :)
fuck yeh FDE rules
Yup
Good on ya legend 👍. Can’t wait to see the final product and it going to market. The Eureka Stockade looks like it’s going to sell like hot cakes.
will these be available in 308?
They will be. Aiming at end of year maybe early next year.
@@AustralianSportingAgenciesHopefully 243 as well?
@@Christoph1888 Not on the cards at the moment. But after the .308 we will send out a survey to see what calibre should come next.
Hey mate, rifles looking great. What are the chances of adding an inbuilt arca tail to the forend where the current 90 degree is? Ergonomically not much different to a 90 but keeps the forend profile minimal instead of having to add an additional rail.
That was what I recommended. Got knocked back. Maybe we will offer additional forends in the future.
Looking good with the updates 👍 I really like the barrel cleaning access consideration.
Thanks mate, Rick was very proud of it :)
I think one of the first things I would do, is get some 12mm X 35mm timber and copy the bolt holding tool. Then put the original one away. Love the updates and the rifle is looking "smicko".
lol lol that made my day!
