So sad to read that Mr Paul has passed away. I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed his recipes and the non fussy way he presented them. Rest in Paradise ❤
At long last a real baker who provides lovely recipes. We have Yorkshire pudding the way Yorkshire folk traditionally eat them. My husband’s Grandmother showed me how to make Yorkshire pudding 55 years ago. Lovely served with real gravy and roasted beef. Yummy.
So good to see you back, and especially with good old Yorkshire Puddings (the real ones.... ;-)! (Yes, I'm a Yorkshire lass). I can remember back in the day that Yorkshire puddings were served as a first course with gravy, before the traditional Sunday roast and veg. It was a way of filling up the hungry tummies, when meat was expensive. To be honest, for me that was the best part of the meal! Wallowing in happy nostalgic memories now, as I usually do when watching one of your videos 🙂
Hi Jane, nice to hear from you, I'm feeling much better now I've go rid of the collar, it was a real pain especially in this heat here. I still have my Yorkshire first with onion grave even toga I'm on my own.
Thank you Jane, I certainly will, in fact I have workmen in at this very moment fitting hand rails here and there to prevent any more falls. Thanks for watching.
Mr Paul--you're looking so fit and well! Just lovely to see your joy, and I'm so grateful for this recipe. I've yearned for proper Yorkshire puddings, but nothing I've tried was right. You're right--every tutorial shows some fancypants beating the stuffing out of the batter as if they wanted souffles. These are perfect! And I'd expect nothing less from your kitchen.
Thank you very much, although not quite in 'excellent' health just yet, but getting there. I certainly feel much better for getting rid of that collar, it was difficult in this heat. Thanks for watching, nice to hear from you again.
I’m so happy you’re better! You look like you feel better too. Thanks for the REAL recipe for Yorkshire Pudding. I’ll trust your recipe over all the others.
Thanks Pete, thought I would start with an easy one. I feel so much better without the collar, it was getting me down especially in this heat. Loved your Kebab video by the way.
I'm from Colombia and i have to tell you i had never heard about a yorkshire pudding before watching this video! It looks delicious and i will defenitely be making it in the future

Very good to see you getting well again, slowly but surely, and not overdoing too soon Mr. Paul. With a perfect how to do it recipe too, thank you! 😊 I used to do the mixing of the Yorkshires on Sundays about 70 years ago as a little girl and they were made exactly as you've shown, beef dripping and all, cooked in a cupcake tin in our case. Still came out delicious. I do appreciate your down to earth and unpretentious lessons, making it so much easier for anxious and insecure cooks to have confidence. 🤗 Take care and thanks again. 👍🌹
Thank for you comment, I really do appreciate it. Yes, I thinks so called celebrity Chefs have a lot to answer for, they just try to make things as complicated as possible,

Great to see you on the mend without the collar, I bet that's been extremely uncomfortable in the heat recently, Another greatly informative video 👍. The celebrity "chefs" too often over complicate things & whenever I see " with a twist " it usually means completely changed/ruined the recipe 😁.

Hello from the US! I made Yorkshire Puddings this year for Christmas dinner and loved them! Had never had them before. Followed the “celebrity chef” recipes. Excited to try yours! Thank you!
Welcome to the broken neck club. Yes, I broke my neck where I worked. Anyway, I absolutely love watching your videos. I am glad you are back. It might be a slow recovery but you will get through it. Thank you for the wonderful recipe. I look forward to watching what else you come out with.
@@MrPaulsPantry for your neck, just go slow with things, if you push yourself too hard, your recovery will be far more difficult. As far as recipes go so far, you’ve made anything I could think of but if you think of anything else that you haven’t made, I’ll let you know. Best recovery.
Brilliant 👍 straight from the Yorkshireman's mouth. 🥰 . It's funny...I had been brainwashed into thinking you need the centre to rise. I use all milk... and they are a bit stodgy. Looking fwd to try this. 👍
So glad to see you've recovered Mr. Paul, and quite quickly I must say. I'm an American and spent two weeks exploring England, and felt the north of England was much more charming and beautiful than the dreary south, but that's just me haha. Great to see how it's done as always.
Many thanks Ron, however, wearing that neck support for 8 months didn't feel like 'quickly'. I thought it was never going to end. But, I do feel much better now, Thanks for watching.
I used to make these with my mum every Sunday lunch 60 years ago. The way you make them is exactly the same. Thank you for reminding me of the recipe. The only difference is we sometimes had them AFTER Sunday lunch with jam in them as a pudding.
Yes, as kids we had exactly the same. also in Yorkshire it was customary yo have the Yorkshire pudding as a starter with onion gravy and not on the plate with the Sunday roast.
I have one of those tins, that I brought here from England to Thailand over thirty years ago. When there was only three in the family it was fine. But with increasing devourers I began using small cake tins to make twelve at a time. As you say, puff balls. Time to use my old tin now. I wish you a speedy convalescence and keep your chin up.
I’ve only just discovered your videos after your cheese flan recipe was recommended to me. You are a delight to watch! I love simple recipes as I’m not exactly a great cook, you make it all look so easy!

Paul, my mum used to make a fantastic deep pan Yorkshire pudding, but I only ever remember her using one egg. I know that you can get anything to rise if you bang in six eggs, but mum only ever used one, the sides were very crispy and the base was all soggy, but the taste was absolutely fantastic, and of course, made with beef dripping

Hello Mr. Paul . Lovely to hear you‘re from Leeds; I too am a Leeds Loiner! I was told by my Mum, back in the day, to put the eggs in first, one at a time and then add milk/water gradually too. Mine always look pretty much the same as yours, so maybe it doesn‘t make that much difference! Thanks for your recipes. Glad your fit and rearing to go again!
Hi Susan, yes, my stepfather had 5 pork butchers shops in Leeds, we had a small shop and a manufactory behind in Beeston Hill, one at the bottom of the Mecca arcade in Vicar lane, one next door to M&S and one next door to C&A and one in Cemetery road Beeston, then I had my first bakery on Roseville Road. As for the Yorkshire's I've tried all ways and it make no difference how you mux the ingredient.

Hello Mr.Paul!! Nice to see you back and looking so much better ☺. I have done Yorkshire puddings incorrectly tbh, but I will definately go out and buy a proper pudding tin. Thankyou for the easy to follow recipe. Take care and safe Mr. Paul. 👍👍👍
Yay glad to see you without your neck brace. Now I know how to make these properly i will definitely be trying them out. Take care and thank you for making it full proof and sharing. Oh how fooled I’ve been, great to see you on the mend finally 🤔👍👏❤️
Well I'll go to hell!, my granny used to have a tablespoon that was worn out with beating, But then again she used a slightly different method. 1 heaped tablespoon of plain flour to an egg, mix. Add milk and a pinch of salt to get the right fluidity, then beat the hell out of it! but she put more batter in each tin (and got a soft bottom). The oven was set at max (220C+)with a good teaspoon of dripping in each tin and the batter was not added until the tins were smoking. I still use this method but use a hand blender to beat the mix.... I love em! Thank you for showing us a different method and style!
I just made my first Yorkshire pudding for Christmas, I watched many videos and the recipe is pretty similar, but your technique is different. I enjoyed my puddings very much, but now I must try your technique these look fabulous. Some in my family thought mine were greasy and I thought maybe I put in too much fat. I used part lard and part beef drippings from my browning my meat. I loved the texture of them. In watching your video you used quite a bit of fat also. Guess I’ll make them just for me lol! Thank you for your expertise!
Paul I made Yorkshire pudding using your method they turned out fantastic. The best I have ever made. I have taken a photo of them but don’t know how to show you. Old age I’m afraid

Ah Mr Paul, lovely to see you and feeling a little better! I use your sultana cake receipt all the time…. And it’s easy and Yummy!
Wonderful Jennifer, thanks for watching, nice to hear from you.
Thank you Sally
