Visited Scotland last year- cannot wait to come back and do a 2 week driving tour. We were lucky- it never rained one single day we were there and it was warm in March. Everyone said we brought the South Carolina sun and weather with us! Beautiful, beautiful country.
So I visited Scotland last year- everyone kept asking me “did you see Jamie”. After seeing the beauty of the country I decided to watch Outlander- OMG the beauty of the country, the beautiful scenes, the wonderful love story- can’t wait for season 6. This beautiful music and scenery will help hold me over. I often hear Scotland calling me to come back......
@@keithlordofalbascotland3371 I was just curious to know if Sue Seitz visited Glasgow or Edinburgh because I can't seem to decide which one should I visit (considering a scenario where I can just visit one of two)
Lovely thought. This music is so haunting and beautiful. It makes my heart ache for my Scottish heritage (my gran was Scots on my mum's side). I feel in touch with my Celtic roots watching Outlander and hearing this gorgeous music. So peaceful.

To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life. 🙏
After having Outlander gathering dust in my queue for 2 years, I was finally friend-shamed into watching it...in February. Since then, I've subscribed to Starz, watched all seasons, have a Fraser skirt, a amber colored dragonfly necklace, cowl, and am in the midst of Book 6. Also planning a trip to North Carolina when the "all clear" is sounded and still have "the ring" on my wish list. What has this tale done to me??? I am well and truly under its spell.
Don't you want to kick yourself for waiting so long? I read the books over 20 years ago and can't tell you how happy I was when I saw it was going to be on Starz back in 2014...
Welcome to the Outlander Family Ms. Smeaton! I am new also by only a month before ye! I joined in Jan this year! :) There are many? several? outlander groups on facebook if you are looking for a place to discuss all things outlander. "All things outlander" is one group, and "Outlander North Carolina Clan" is another I am a member of :) Come on over! :)
@@WriterOfMany There's an event in the fall called Fraser's Ridge Homecoming in Ferguson, North Carolina. This year they were to have Gavin McTavish, Gary Lewis, and Annette Badland. I discovered it while watching the Scottish dude's video. Then found additional videos from 2019's event. Of course, it has been cancelled for this year, but it's definitely on my bucket list for the future.I believe all 3 actors were confirmed for 2021.
@@leonareber7774 agree completely, the commercials are annoying. I figured out how to get rid of them easily, just scroll to the end of the video, give it a sec and allow the play button to reappear, all of the yellow dots that were visible showing where the ads were, should be gone. Just slide back to the beginning of the video... voila! It has worked on every video so far.. best of luck! 😊
There will be ten books, she’s writing the nineth. They will film the sixth season, so hopefully we will have some years ahead. BUT, Diana Gabaldon said she pretends to write about Brian and Ellen Fraser, Jamie will be a child. Hopefully their romance will be just as beautiful.
@@MarianaOrrico She has also written some side stories about Lord John. There is also a side story that has an interesting timeline for the Comte St. Germain and Master Raymond. Also a segment about Roger's father. I highly recommend reading the side stories too. There are so many paths that the author can go with her books.
I use this soundtrack for my kids. And after they fall asleep, I can’t help but watch them sleep and shed some tears for being so beyond thankful that these are my children that I get to wake up to every single day, watch them grow during the day and pray over them at night. My heart goes out to those moms and dads who lost a child and cannot do the same thing everyday. hug your kids and family close. you will never know when someones last day could be.
the most beautiful, authentic love story...indeed the best love story...there are no IFs, BUTs, PERHAPS...theirs was not a declaration of love, but a witness to how and what it is to love...no matter what the cost...

Wish I could bring everyone to Scotland to see the hidden beauty the Scottish are very friendly and kind obviously we're very patriotic anyone not from Scotland who likes a good laugh and would like a real insight into the way wee are and especially Glasgow I would advise to watch Still Game it's a comedy show based around 2 older men from Glasgow they're actually not old men but dressed up for the show as are all the main characters but it gives a true perspective of life in Glasgow and it's Hilarious although people might not understand most of the Glaswegians slang words it's still hillarious the 2 main characters are the writers well worth a watch for a good laugh all my love to everyone from Bonnie Scotland 💙💙💙💙💙💙
@@sharonkennedy1893 I'de love to go to Bonnie Scotland. Some of us, here in Serbia, call ourselves Orthodocs Celts😀, and I'd love to get knowing your people by living there for a couple of months, maybe I will when this pandemic is over. Stay well all of you
If you haven't seen Scotland yet, I highly recommend. I just spent a week driving across Scotland and its one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I'm definitely coming back.
I am not Scottish and have never been to Scotland. The attraction for this country, culture and history has always been unbroken. This mystical aura that surrounds this country makes it so incredibly interesting. I hope to visit you soon!
I think the Scotish are very very lucky to live in such a beautiful place, have it all the music the scenery one if the most beautiful places on the earth. The music gives me goosebumps and sends me to places that only dreams are made of.
I read Diana's books several years ago. When I saw the series, I was struck at how perfect Sam was as Jamie. He was exactly as I had imagined when reading the books. I am blown away at how well Starz has produced this series.
From Dallas, Texas: I discovered I had Scottish DNA AFTER I went to Scotland and started watching Outlander! I always loved the music and dancing. The country was gorgeous and the people were gracious! I can't wait to return.
I agree :-) I can't stop watching over and over all the episodes of outlander. Anne of the green gables was my favorite series from which I discovered Tennyson :-)
i've never watched Outlander, I'm only here for the Scottish music. Though I absolutely adore Anne of Green Gables, and Anne with an E. So if you say Outlander's main love story is similar to Anne and Gilbert, I'll start watching it straight away just because I read this comment.
I spent a long time of watching Outlander a few months ago and I was obsessed with it! I was feeling it very hard. And every time I come across with the soundtrack now, the thoughts and feelings that I had while I was watching it come straight back to my mind! It's amazing how fast and effortlessly it happens.
yeah christina..its same with me..i cant get over with it..i dnt want to..m under complete control of scottland..even i searched for scottish cricketers and famous people, landscape, history of scottland..m in love with that country...love from india
I finally got around to watching Outlander. OMGosh. I fell in love with Scotland, the history, the characters, the music. What a greatest love story of all. ❤
I'm 71% Scottish, although I've never been there. Outlander pulls at my heartstrings and is calling me to Scotland. I felt very emotional about the battle of Culloden, knowing I had ancestors who fought and died for Scotland. My daughter and I will visit within the year. The musical score in Outlander touches my soul
I'm Puerto Rican, but I have such a love for Scotland even before Outlander. There is a mystery. There is something that has always called my spirit there.
This gives me goosebumps every time I hear the opening song and then all the other beautiful soundtracks. I've always been fascinated by Scotland and its culture. Ever since I watched Outlander I promised myself that someday I will visit it. Fantastic music and the best series!
We went to Scotland a few years ago. My wife is a descendent of Mary Queen of Scots and I’m from a clan; isn’t that something. See the castles, take the bus tours up to the highlands and enjoy the Scottish people.
L'écosse et ses paysages fabuleux, sa musique fantastique, son accent gaélique, ses esprits qui l'habitent, et qui la rendent si mystique... Merveilleuse Ecosse 💖
My adoptive Father was born and raised in Edinburgh. And although I am a born and raised child of Africa, I have been blessed to visit my heart Country, Bonnie Scotland many times. I am 63, and a big, big part of my heart still belongs to Scotland. Sadly, I don't qualify to live there, for I would in a heart beat, it that were allowed. I absolutely loved this series, and I love Scottish music and the Bagpipes. I plan to visit my heart Country once again, even if it may form a part of my bucket list.
Such beauty, such blessings...I am not surprised why Scottish are so beautiful outside and inside. That beautiful nature couldnt give birth to bad people and bad people couldn't create beautiful music and songs which capture your heart. Best greetings from Ukraine 💗
I finally watched a few months ago for the first time. I immediately restarted the series. I can't get enough of it. I sing that song in the shower. This is simply the best show ever.
I yearn for a home I’ve never lived in. Feel melancholic of a place I’ve never visited. How can a place inspire so much without even having been there?
This soundtrack reminds me of all the great moments that Claire and Jamie shared as well as all the difficult things they endured. Listening to this is giving me chills, a strange sensation in my feels. I hate that I love the show and it's characters because I keep coming back and getting heartbroken.
Just watched the series two times in a row :))) this is crazy, I can’t watch anything else anymore! I’m so thankful to Diana for this amazing world. Started reading first book because the series are not enough anymore :) the music is absolutely divine!
can NOT count the ## of times watching the show but am on my 2nd reading of #1---8 books !!!!!!!! I HAVE NEVER been so ENGROSSSSSSED in a series as I am this one !!!!!!!!!
I have had the very same happen to me. It spoiled me . I'm addicted. I have watched 3 times in a row. All other tv seems so boring to me. I had to wean myself down a bit. because I couldn't even think about anything but JAMIE
Scotland resides within. My experience of watching Braveheart had me leaping over to Scotland in 1997 for a 6--week walkabout. On that ground, I understood exactly what had been true in my soul all along. Now Outlander has me needing to take the same trek home again. Thanks so much for this offering of music!
I've been waiting for an Outlander ambience for so long so I can read the books while listening. There isn't a better ambience than yours, thank you for shearing it
I’ve watched the series and fell in love with it and finally after all this time I have the books and I’m currently on page one of the first book. Here we go
Can you imagine how brilliant you have to be about to compose such an amazing score. To be able to figure out the sound of every instrument, the range each instrument is capable of and then to be able to put them all together into something that sounds amazing is the ability of true geniuses. Thank you for sharing your amazing gifts with the rest of us mere morals.
I always want to come to Scotland and after watching Outlander, heer I am!!! Today I was to the Skye and now I am righting from the Fort William! I am so exciting to been here, I love this country ❤❤❤
Love the show and love Scotland. The Scottish music is so peaceful and Scotland is so beautiful. I have family ties to Scotland.I would love to go back thru time and visit Scotland.
I simply have no words for this music, especially the theme that plays for Jamie and Claire, and how it makes me feel inside... it is as though my soul was filled with something inexplicable for which it longs. It transports me to another world and makes me feel as though my soul was about to burst out of a cage and take flight. There must be a name for such a feeling/phenomenon, I'm sure of it, and I know I cannot be alone!😄. I absolutely adore the story of Outlander and have fallen completely in love with Scotland the more that I learn about it and immerse myself into all that makes it the land that it is. 😍 Oddly enough I'm applying to veterinary school in Scotland as I type this very comment as it has always been my calling to be a healer of those without a human voice. ❤
Há um mês tive Covid, e fiquei isolada. Assisti a série toda de uma vez, por horas, e também fiquei apaixonada!Como pode uma história tão linda mexer tanto com nossos sentimentos? E essa música , então? Fabulosa!
@@cristinacrognale3471 Congratulations! How exciting for you! Oh my god. 😭😭😭😭❤️ This is.... I always thought the music of the series was outstanding but it hits different when you read the books with this as background music. 🤧❤️ Thanks. ❤️
Nothing is better as the books, the series is gorgeous made, BUT it losts sooo much of the great Story in the books and thats sometimes sad. I am a outlander Fan since years and years and years and i am So glad and happy that i found this fantastic books❤️❤️❤️
lally ladyoflallybroch Have you read it all? I am in 30% the fourth book, but in my opinion it’s not so good as the first three. How’s that for you? I wish I have read first because my mind imagine the same faces of the show, it would be nice to create them all. For me, the best thing of the show are the costumes, in the books it is not so pretty. ❤️
Being half Scottish myself I wish I grew up on the motherland. I think I would feel more at home than I do here in Canada. Despite having deep connected native Canadian roots I still feel like Scotland calls my name. The music and the people bring my stomach to butterflies and thills me to my bones. Alexander Ross was my 4x great grandfather with deep Scottish roots. Though my great grandfather was also scottish he did not grow up in Scotland, he in fact grew up in the Guernsey islands and sadly the name McKane was not a clan name. Among other Scot's on my birth father's side (only found that side of me a couple years ago.) Heck bagpipes make me instantly cry. Not that im sad but it touches the soul deeply!
I recently learned I was 32% Scottish. I had absolutely no idea as I never knew one of my parents. Exploring the music and culture to understand part of my roots. Absolutely beautiful.
My good buddy is scottish and invited me to be in her wedding. I got to go with some family members and let me tell you! They are so incredibly kind and they seemed to appreciate all the attention Outlander brought to their country. It's so worth a trip
Outlander just warms my heart so much. Every time I hear the music I just melt, and I have hope for a future that just might be as beautiful as Claire's was.
A huge thank you to the Ambient Worlds musicians for creating such a masterpiece. At least half the series Outlander involves beautiful music and it creates the mood. I see many more of these theme mixes on youtube and I'm eternally grateful. Simply beautiful!
I'm an American whose family originated in Scotland. I am very proud of my Scottish heritage as the Scots represent what is good in this world. Honesty, bravery, and an intense national sense of loyalty and fierce independence. The first time I stepped off of the Flying Scotsman in Edinburg I felt as if I were home. Strangely I also intuitively knew where I was, how to get to my hotel, and was able to find most landmarks without direction. The Scots are wonderful people and treat visitors as old friends. The only problem I had was understanding what was being said after a few pints and drams in the pub. All in fun though.
My husband is a third Scottish and I only have a minute percentage of Scottish. Anyhow, while I was pregnant with my son, I played this near my belly. He was born last week and I play this while I am nursing and it soothes him. I call him my Scottish prince ❤️
Once again you have amazed us with beautiful music and scenery, every one that you have done has exceeded my expectations, you truly have a gift, thank you for being a blessing.
I swear I'm so captivated with Outlander...and the music is amazing. Transcendental! I must've been Scotish in my other life! The drums, pipes, strings-too beautifil-cannot be of this earth!
It takes you there emotionally you feel like your part of it, it draws you in like the scent of a wild rose growing on the hedge row as you walk along the ancient paths with the sun and a light breeze swirling in your hair, savoring every step knowing your closer to something just beyond the horizon perhaps it’s a dream or is it that’s calling you home?
I love the stories in which TIME plays the main role. Those ones we can "travel" to the past, to the future, go back to the present and try what it is better for us. There's destiny and other kinds of powers that can be stronger than anything. That other film "Somewhere in Time" became a "classic" and has the same kind of theme. They are fantasy, may be dreams or wishes. Whatever they are the "phenomenon" could be true so we would have the opportunity of improving our lives, so many times we need, until we reach the complete Happiness. That would be perfect, wouldn't it?🤗
Im a huge Outlander fan and Outlander is by far the best show ever and i love the music!!! Am saving for my trip to Scotland! Love the country and its history! 💙🏴💙😊👍
Hermosa historia pensé que eran más capítulos pero la veo cada vez que me siento perdida me levanta el ánimo en ver como ese amor incondicional traspasa el tiempo
I just discovered this series after being so sceptical for long time... My Goodness had I known !!!! This is one of the best I have seen so far !!! I officially entered the circle of Outlander-fans! Thank your for uploading this beautiful playlist, love your work Ambient Worlds!
One of the most compelling on screen music & scores of all time. The fact I am partial to the Scottish sound is irrelevant ..... just beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to Scotland last year. A very beautiful country, it's impossible not to feel like you entered into a mystical world, more so in the highlands. Hopefully when this pandemic is over I can return.
I cant help it...I have Outlander on continuous loop for watching the series. Never knew I had Scottish ancestors until I started watching the series. Wishing I was Scottish. DNA, 47% I was so happy!
Although western classical music is my first favorite, I love Celtic music second and all folk music around the world. Outlander has a special magic of its own. I can't wait until the next series starts. It's amazingly well acted and true to what I know of the time and place of the story.
Escucho esta música y siento que aún tenemos oportunidad, siento que el cielo está cerca y que solo tenemos que poner el corazón para seguir hacia adelante
I am watching season 5 now on Netflix, cant believe that Outlander affect me so much 🥺 the bond between Jamie and Claire is so strong. So many obstacles they had, but always getting back together even after 20 years. Before I go to sleep I play this Scottish music the Outlander soundtrack then I started to get an undescribeable feelings, like I can feel their love and bond. I wonder how their story will end (a happy ending hopefully), was that Jamie's ghost visiting Clair in 19 century (?) I know it sounds exaggerating but I really cant describe my feelings when I listen to this music, especially minute 1-3.30
Amo Outlander! Uma das melhores séries da atualidade para mim. Muito bem feita essa série transmite sentimentos de amor, paixão, luta e honra como poucas, é muito inspiradora!
1700 people here that feel the same- thought was alone and maybe I shouldn’t feel this deeply but the series, characters, country, this tune, Scotland speaks to the soul, my soul for sure.
Literally just bought the first series to watch again on amazon because it is basically the only thing on tv that can get me through this pandemic. And i come onto yt to see THIS. Beyond excited!

Thank you.....
I'm an Aussie, my darling Dad was 100% a Scot. I'm ENORMOUSLY proud of my Scottish heritage 🇦🇺🏴
Why North Carolina?
@@WriterOfMany There's an event in the fall called Fraser's Ridge Homecoming in Ferguson, North Carolina. This year they were to have Gavin McTavish, Gary Lewis, and Annette Badland. I discovered it while watching the Scottish dude's video. Then found additional videos from 2019's event. Of course, it has been cancelled for this year, but it's definitely on my bucket list for the future.I believe all 3 actors were confirmed for 2021.
Outlander has been filmed in Scotland, NOT in North Carolina...they found a place in Scotland to simulate North Carolina
I still get chills when I hear the Outlander theme song. (Then I sing along at the top of my lungs. Lol.) This is absolutely beautiful.
Same lol
Only trouble with it is the constant commercials that break in just as I am floating on the gorgeous melodies. A real downer!😖
@@leonareber7774 amen. It didn't do that at first. So annoying.
@@KarleeBoohoo Thanks. I'll try it!
Wouldn't it be amazing if there was no end to Outlander if it continued to play on and on...
my mom said that there is still stuff in the book that hasn't reached the show yet. So for right now, I think it continues for a reason.
@@jeannekowalkowski6533 Great Author She Is!!
Jeanne Kowalkowski where do we find the side stories?
I use this soundtrack for my kids. And after they fall asleep, I can’t help but watch them sleep and shed some tears for being so beyond thankful that these are my children that I get to wake up to every single day, watch them grow during the day and pray over them at night. My heart goes out to those moms and dads who lost a child and cannot do the same thing everyday. hug your kids and family close. you will never know when someones last day could be.
Odd statement for this thread, but the sentiment is appreciated nonetheless 🤷🏻♀️
the most beautiful, authentic love story...indeed the best love story...there are no IFs, BUTs, PERHAPS...theirs was not a declaration of love, but a witness to how and what it is to love...no matter what the cost...
Not only is it the best love story ever, it is the best show ever!!
Yessss deeply touching my heart ! Make me feel to one day to discover Scotland...

Sing me a song of a lass that is gone
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye
Billow and breeze, islands and seas
Mountains of rain and sun
All that was good, all that was fair
All that was me is gone
Sing me a song of a lass that is gone

What a great show, take me to Scotland, Jamie. Or anyone with a Scottish accent, hiya ✨
Hi from Bonnie Scotland 💙
The passion about this beautiful Scotland , and Outlander , I'm watching g it again, ca t get enough of it♥️🌺😘
Wish I could bring everyone to Scotland to see the hidden beauty the Scottish are very friendly and kind obviously we're very patriotic anyone not from Scotland who likes a good laugh and would like a real insight into the way wee are and especially Glasgow I would advise to watch Still Game it's a comedy show based around 2 older men from Glasgow they're actually not old men but dressed up for the show as are all the main characters but it gives a true perspective of life in Glasgow and it's Hilarious although people might not understand most of the Glaswegians slang words it's still hillarious the 2 main characters are the writers well worth a watch for a good laugh all my love to everyone from Bonnie Scotland 💙💙💙💙💙💙

I think the Scotish are very very lucky to live in such a beautiful place, have it all the music the scenery one if the most beautiful places on the earth. The music gives me goosebumps and sends me to places that only dreams are made of.
So proud to have Scottish blood flowing through my veins. Love Outlander, and love this music.
everyone has the same blood lol we all came from Africa and same person ^^
and don't forget the whiskey 😉
I read Diana's books several years ago. When I saw the series, I was struck at how perfect Sam was as Jamie. He was exactly as I had imagined when reading the books. I am blown away at how well Starz has produced this series.
Sam was BORN to be Jamie!!
From Dallas, Texas: I discovered I had Scottish DNA AFTER I went to Scotland and started watching Outlander! I always loved the music and dancing. The country was gorgeous and the people were gracious! I can't wait to return.
Outlander is up there with Anne and Gilbert of Anne of Green Gables in my opinion.
Totally agree. I was devastated when I heard Jonathan Crombie died
can't agree more! they're both amazing
So if you say Outlander's main love story is similar to Anne and Gilbert, I'll start watching it straight away just because I read this comment.
that frog isabel they are not similar love stories at all but they are that kind of love stories that they made to be together their destiny.
I spent a long time of watching Outlander a few months ago and I was obsessed with it! I was feeling it very hard. And every time I come across with the soundtrack now, the thoughts and feelings that I had while I was watching it come straight back to my mind! It's amazing how fast and effortlessly it happens.

The emotions the songs conjure up after watching the series it incredible.

This soundtrack reminds me of all the great moments that Claire and Jamie shared as well as all the difficult things they endured. Listening to this is giving me chills, a strange sensation in my feels. I hate that I love the show and it's characters because I keep coming back and getting heartbroken.

Thank you Bear McCreary!!!!!!
Fabulosa!

lally ladyoflallybroch Have you read it all? I am in 30% the fourth book, but in my opinion it’s not so good as the first three. How’s that for you? I wish I have read first because my mind imagine the same faces of the show, it would be nice to create them all. For me, the best thing of the show are the costumes, in the books it is not so pretty. ❤️
I have never heard Jamie called Claire "my love" in the show. But he called her so many times in the book. He is way way so loving in the book huh?

Technically it'd be more along the lines of 'curated' it than 'created' it. Though still a solid effort / great channel either way 🙂
I'm an American whose family originated in Scotland.
I stumbled across this and after 5 minutes I knew I was listening to Bear McCreary. He'll be remembered as one of the greats, for sure.

That other film "Somewhere in Time" became a "classic" and has the
same kind of theme.
They are fantasy, may be dreams or wishes.
Whatever they are the "phenomenon" could be true so we would have the opportunity of improving our lives, so many times we need, until we reach the complete Happiness.
That would be perfect, wouldn't it?🤗
