Around 15:56 and into 17 that beautiful build into the "Frasers Ridge"theme gives me chills and makes me cry! So funny how a fictional place can make you feel like it's a real place in your heart. In the books, the Fraser's and McKenzies are all over the place. Savanna, GA, Boston, sometimes back to Scotland, sometimes not even in the same time in space! but it's so strange how when they return to Fraser's Ridge, you feel the same way they do when they see the house coming into view..."we are finally home..."
I think if they had given the kitten something to eat and pulled that quilt over more into the seat of the chair, he would have sacked out for a nice long nap.
Love this show and this song.. just makes me weak in the knees and calls to my soul... I had to look into my Scottish roots because of this show. Turns out..my family..were highlanders...and quite possibly my ancestors fought in that battle..Thank you so much!!!
That's so cool! I did too, but only a little while before watching Outlander. Turns out my ancestry from mother's side were lowland nobility who were among the main septs of the Stewart clan. They were related to the early Kings of Norway. I tracked an ancestor who moved to Rotterdam in the early 18th century before Culloden, quite possibly stripped of all fortunes. I even found his address in Rotterdam, which is also the city where I happen to live right now. I also found a document which stated that, years later with the uprising, he boarded a fregate back to Bo'ness, Scotland! Had to be a jacobite. Think I'll have to go do some more digging in Scotland...
Over 50% of my heritage came from Scotland, I also had Fraser, MacKenzie, Stewart, Bruce, Henderson, Finley/Findlay, Russell, MacCrum, MacDonald..but I have never visited Scotland but my youngest son did, with his red hair he was mistaken for a Scot in Edinburgh..also I found in my history that there was a James Fraser that was raised by a MacKenzie family...and I had many relatives that died in the Battle of Culloden, also a lot came over the colonies in Augusta, Virginia before the Battle..
Thank you, this is wonderful to sit back and relax to, especially with today being so cold and rainy. Very excited for the new season to start, I miss Jamie and Claire and everything else, really. Still, those 20 years apart..breaks my heart. I never get caught up in a show as much as I have with Outlander..I almost feel silly lol but you can’t help what or who you love ❤️
Added to my watch later playlist. We have a Yule Log video that plays on our local tv station every Christmas and now I have this. Thankful to Bear McCreary and the Outlander staff for this to continue yearly.

I go to sleep listening to the soundtrack to outlander every night. This one has a few not on it like Richard rankin singing at the Highland games. It’s an amazing song and his voice and guitar playing is fantastic 🥰🥰🥰

Very excited for season 5 but also *cannot wait* until season 6 when A Breath of Snow and Ashes is covered. Book#6 is my second fav of the series (thus far) right behind book#1 and I *really* hope they manage to stay as close to the page as possible because *so* much happens in book 6, much more than book 5 in my opinion.

They should have spread the blanket on the hard chair for the kitty. He really wanted to get down but he’s so small and the chair is so high.
