I am not of Irish or Scottish descent, but have a very dear friend. Pat, who passed on St Patrick's Day several years ago. All who knew her, felt she "chose" that day. So it is now St Patty's Day rather than Patrick's. I was looking for Celtic music to play in the background and found this video. Thank you for helping me to honor my dear loving, joyful friend, whose nickname was Aunt Happy 💚

I LOVE THIS. IN HONOR OF MY ELIZABETH BELLE FINLEY FROM COUNTY CORK....ELLIS ISLAND, MET MY PAPAW(CATTLE MAN) BENJAMIN FLOYD.....SHE WAS ONLY 17 WHEN THEY MARRIED....5 CHILDREN....SHE SANG ME IRISH SONGS AND TOLD ME JOKES &POEMS....COOKED LIKE CRAZY....MISS HER AND HER FRECKLES, BRIGHT RED HAIR! SHE HAD A GREEN BIBLE.❤
I'm sorry for your loss & what wonderful memories, to be treasured of someone near & dear to your heart. When I'm listening that beautiful Irish music,i feel like I'm returning home, probably in another life I was born there... always Scottish bagpipes makes me cry 😢& Celtics songs send me to a Dreamland, where I want to live my life.Tank you for wonderful, gorgeous and magical moments 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
My Grandad and Grandma was from Scotland. I managed to take a trip to see where they were from about five years ago. The music takes me there. Thanks for trip.
Happy Saint Patrick's day everyone!!!! Today would of been my parent's 73th. Wedding Anniversary. They were married on Saint Patrick's Day on March 17, 1951. Like the old Traditional Irish song goes that is very true about my Dad's parents, my grandparents. " The Orange and the Green. " My Dad's father was Orange and his mother was Green.
They were married two weeks and two days before I was born! I have no Irish blood, but married a Welsh man and love Celtic music of all kinds. We have played it semi-professionally for the past 40 years. Hammered dulcimer, guitar, bodhran, mandolin, along with penny whistle and flute on occasion.
I'm English , but all my life from first hearing Irish and Scottish music , both instumental and songs I have been drawn into a different level of world ( if that makes any sense ) The Scottish laments played on the bagpipes steal my heart every time , especially , but I also love the Irish music and the romance of it. I think I must have been born into the wrong country 😊
I was suddenly brought back 60 years by this song: "Dear thoughts are in my mind, and my soul's so enchanted" (19:19). My mum used to sing The Lark in the Clear air all the time and whenever she reached the word: "enchanTED", ending on a sudden leap of a fourth up, my dad used to say, "yes love, whaddya want?" What a silly memory but I've never forgotten this song.
I got to go to Ireland a few years ago. I could feel my ancestors touch my soul especially with the music. I have tenfold recordings on my phone - a song for every mood. Thank you for the videos!
I found Ireland so disappointing. It looked more like England, nice enough but Scotland and Norway were out of this world beautiful. There's some good golf courses in Ireland but overall Dublin/Cork and the countryside is a 6/10.
I'm Welsh with Scottish, Manx and some Irish ancestry. I live in Finland these days but I'm Celtic to my core, and this brings tears to my eyes. I miss my beloved Cymru (Wales), but I can't afford to go back to visit my family.

I’m adopted,so I’ve no history or lineage that I can claim. All I know is that from the very first time I heard the bagpipes, harps, of Celtic music,& the Isles, Moors,& mountains it has been my favorite place. To see Scotland is a dream I’ve had fora very long time. I fear it will be an unrealized dream. I live in the U S, & worked all life. No real skills other than customer service, so not accumulating wealth at all. Thankful for utube, instagram, & the many musical channels where I can hear the beautiful music. Thank you for this!!❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏
DNA tests are on sale quite often! Ancestry and others also! I worked customer service jobs all my life! I sold Waterford Crystal at one and was determined to visit the factory and my Irish ancestral trail there. I saved for 2 years and fulfilled my travel wishes! You can do it!
I knew a lady that was of Irish decent. She was kind and loved by many, She loved to sing and when she was ill and taken in an ambulance she was still singing. The people attending to her would yell out "Sing Mary sing". What a beautiful and charitable soul missed by many. That was my mother!!! Thank you for this video. The memory lingers!
I am from north Spain, Basque country!! And from my childhood I feel like I must to visit one day Ireland... Celtic culture is in my heart I don't know how or why but one day sure I will visit this wonderful places and sure I will discover why from my childhood, this countries attracted me from always!!! They are amazing and wonderful landscapes...!!!❤❤❤❤ green like my country, north Spain!!!❤❤❤🌿🌿🌿🌿🌳🌳🌲🌳🍀
These ethereal Scottish - Irish songs are most uplifting and endearing - they capture the heart and envelope the mind… leaving me lost in my swirling thoughts & daydreams - carrying me over the deep oceans and endless miles of yesteryear- where my family experienced their amazing journeys while happily and bravely contributing to the survival of the clans for centuries in the enchanting lands of Scotland & Ireland. Thank you! 🙏 🏴 🇮🇪
Beautiful music and scenery! 💖I love these kinds of tunes to relax and put on when working from home. I hope to go to Ireland/Scotland/UK in the next year or two and this makes me think of when I'll actually be there in person and to see my family's ancestral land, can't wait! 🇮🇪 🇬🇧
As a youth my grandmother said that we were of Irish descent ent . Years later I had a DNA test done , which showed I was a “ bowl of oats “. Irish , Scottish and some English and Denmark . Regardless of the ethnicity I have always loved the music and the landscape . I guess this helps explain why I love the fair complexion and red hair of ladies I see .
haha I'm the opposite in personal preference. I absolutely love the beautiful olive complexion. So very attractive! As a very fair skinned, very freckly, auburn/reddish haired woman myself, I dislike my pale/bland/anaemic looking skin shade & wish I possessed my 2 gf's skin shades. Pale olive is just so warm, appealing & beautiful looking. But, (as my Irish/Norwegian/Swedish/Danish/Scotch/French/German) Maternal Grandmother used to say.... there is great beauty to be found in "all" skin shades across this world. We just have to step out of our own comfort zones/bubbles, really open our eyes to "all" external human variances & learn to appreciate them, rather than reject or fear them. (Her exact words. She was a very intelligent & wise woman & she taught me much about life & people.) She always spoke in either Irish or Norge, as she was multi ethnic/multi-lingual. She was blonde, very fair, porcelain skinned/as pale as a ghost, complexion wise & still, I thought her very beautiful in her own way, but she always stated that it's just skin. She'd say, It's not so called "white", anyway, as that is a totally "made up" word historically, as we all possess varying skin shades within every continent on earth. The complexions of Europeans, from North to South, varying greatly from the palest skin shades, to the darkest, albeit the darker tones are way more prevalent within Southern Europe, but can also be found In NW Europe too & vice versa. It just depends upon the person's specific genetic mix/ancestry. No one is ever really 100% anything genetically speaking & modern day DNA tests are verifying this truth. Funnily enough, most people think they're 100% of this or that, "until" they get their DNA tested & they realise they're so much more genetically speaking. Fun fact, red hair does "not" originate in Europe, but actually in "Central Asia". Yes, this has been verified both archaeologically/visually & scientifically.
@@INTUITIVENORSK2303 Granted the olive skin complexion is a thing of beauty . And I have known many of this description . But …..there still is something about a true redhead .
My beautiful Irish Mammy died last year . I feel so close to her when I go to Ireland. Have now sold my house and am going to live there . I love it so much 🇮🇪
When I listen to this music, I remember the movie "Holy Heart". I was in Ireland once 38 years ago and it is in my Heart forever. I am Russian and music has no boundaries.❤
My daughter and her husband took a trip last oct to Scotland Ireland and endgland then holland .. our grandgathers parents were from there.. mcClure and McCloud. 🍀🌳
I have been to Galway Bay. I have climbed your highest mountain, Carantouhil. I have camped on Achill Island, (nearly blew my tent away.!) I have wondered at those majestic Cliffs of Moher. I have circumnavigated the Dingle peninsula. Croag Patrick was a challenge. Clew Bay is the most beautiful place in the world that I ever seen. But ... what is the best thing about Ireland? Answer: MUSIC like this! As it says in the song: "Dear thoughts are in my mind ..."
Im spanish from Tenerife Canary Islands but always fell this type of music relax & full my senses havnt descender from those countries but love them even havnt been there..God bless you & thanks 4 sharing❤🎉
☘🍀To any human who is suffering right now, feeling so alone right now, or even feeling afraid, I am praying for you & sending the most positive vibes your way. Please know that the sun will shine again, as it always does. Do know too, that in such music, we can find joy, peace & hope. I visited Ireland & Scotland for the 1st time in my life recently, as I've some roots from these countries & I must say, I was so far from being disappointed. I cried often & felt depressed after my return home & my family comforted me, as my pain, for the yearning to return to Ireland & Scotland was so great. This music has helped me to find some comfort. I wish for all who wish to go there, to go there & to find their own meaning, inspiration, inner peace & joy & for those who cannot go there, let these scenes & this beautiful music be of regular companionship to you. Let the music, take you away, even if for just a short while & may these sounds & images always be right there with you, whenever you wish to remember this peace & beauty. Peace to all.🍀☘
You may not believe this because it was drug induced (magic mushrooms) but on a plant medicine journey, I went to Scotland. It was a past life (whatever that means, I don't totally understand reincarnation) and I was told some things about Scotland that I didn't know before, one of which was that the Scots used the land against the English soldiers while they were battling. "They dunna understand our land like we do." The most important thing goes to what you were saying about being heartbroken to not be there anymore. I saw an ancient religious order (not Druids, even older than that) making carvings on the bones of their dead, and then putting them back in the ground. I was told the land is sacred because of whatever they did. That's why there was so much fighting over it, and also why it's so filled with ghost stories. I was also told (if it's real, you're gonna love this) that Mother Scotland was calling her sons and daughters home. That's why random people from all over the globe have a longing for that place. I said, as the woman I was in the past life, "They shot us, hanged us, cut us up into pieces, buried us and burned us, but they dinna know, you canna kill a Scot."
My ancestors are from Ireland and Scotland, Wales. I visited Those countries and enjoyed Meeting wonderful people. Scenery was so beautiful. Thanks for the beautiful music Today !!!!!!😊❤😊

My lovely mum was mostly Irish descent on both sides of her family tree. She would have loved to visit both Ireland and Scotland. My dad’s grandfather came from the highlands of Scotland 🏴. Mum always wanted to see the Edinburgh Military Tattoo live. Neither happened as my dad passed at 63yrs and mum slowly descended into dementia from a broken heart 💔 in part. 😢 So I’m hoping to go see the U.K. with my only sister before I’m too old. I’m 57 and my sister is almost 64. She has lived in England and travelled throughout the country. And visited Scotland also. So as she’s the well travelled sibling she can be my tour guide. ❤
My partners family is from County Mayo, Westport, going back many generations. He grew up in a little farming town in Iowa where nearly everyone was of Irish descent, most going back generations to that same area.
Growing up, my best friend’s mom was from Scotland (born and raised). Very proud of her heritage. She always left during the summer (my friend and her family), to stay the summer in Scotland. I had the opportunity to visit twice in my childhood. I have always loved things that were Celtic. I found out in my thirties, after doing some research on the ancestry of my mother’s mother side of the family, and was so excited to find out that we were Scottish from the Mitchell side! They came over right before the revolutionary war. I hope someday I can find out more where they originated in Scotland and would love to come back there! The images and music remind me so much of my time there.😊 My dream is to visit Ireland someday, too. Apparently one of the Scottish relatives married an Irish gal! 😃
soy de Bolivia sud américa pero me encanta la música irlandesa, escocesa, los hermosos paisajes, al final este mundo es uno y la belleza en todas partes y cada uno se identifica con lo que le llena el corazón.

Hello Cindy,
I feel your words deserve my response,
so here goes.
I know this sense of calling

for while I was aware at a young age
that I had Highland chiefs as ancestors,
I had no idea
just how far I would be able to trace my ancestry,
and feel a connection through blood
with a wide range of Scotland's historic moments
through lairds to nobles to kings.
I know that just into my teens,
I only had to hear the skirl of the pipes
to have my blood rise,
even though I was raised on the land in South Devon.
Now 50 years later,
I am fitting more bits of the jigsaw together,
and gaining insights,
making realisations.

Maybe you are doing the same?
You face an enormous challenge,
for losing someone through sudden death
is bad enough,
but to lose someone inch by inch,
leaving an "empty" body,
must be one of the greatest challenges
that anyone can face.
/
It is said
that no challenge that Life offers
is greater
than our ability to face it,
meaning
that in some way,
we are ready for this challenge,
and
it is part of our path.
So hard as it may be,
if you are not already,
Trust
that this has a purpose,
a deep, deep purpose.
And remember,
that while the birth-to-death-I-dentity
you knew and loved
has seemingly gone,
the spirit
that created that birth-to-death-I-dentity
exists,
persists,
and is very much with You.
/
And far, far closer
than any of us can ever imagine.
You know the painting by Michaelangelo
on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel?
With the weak finger of Man
almost
touching the finger of God?

We get lost in the depths of our troubles,
and lose touch
with that awesome loving energy,
which is always with us,
but our thoughts and energy
mean
that we cannot perceive it.
This is where Trust comes in.
By living in Trust,
we acknowledge something we cannot see,
and
just maybe,
our ability to perceive
will grow.
/
What the Life Lesson is
that Life is offering you,
only you can know,
but there is one,
rest assured on that.

Thank you Zen for the kind and reassuring words and thoughts

rising up through a cloud,
then I came to where a new cloud covered the whole "sky",

it was just THERE.
And EVERYWHERE.
/
Not at all
what "the books"
that Man has cobbled together
over thousands of years,
tells us
is "out there".
This,
and other experiences,
showed me,
beyond doubt,
that Life has a Purpose,
that we are never alone,
and that Life Itself
never ends.
Which changes so many things!
/
I wish you well,
and hope you thrive,
because
what you are going through,
is accelerated growth.
Best wishes,
Zen

Merci infiniment pour cette belle musique 🙏
Великолепная музыка ! Божественное сочетание инструментов , звуки барабана дополняют музыку своей мощью .
I have heard that I have Scottish in my blood line. But my family is from the Appalachian mountains. Love the scenes so majestic and honest😊
Lot's of Scottish, Celtic, Wales People moved to the Appalachian Mountains ❤
I’m adopted,so I’ve no history or lineage that I can claim. All I know is that from the very first time I heard the bagpipes, harps, of Celtic music,& the Isles, Moors,& mountains it has been my favorite place. To see Scotland is a dream I’ve had fora very long time. I fear it will be an unrealized dream. I live in the U S, & worked all life. No real skills other than customer service, so not accumulating wealth at all. Thankful for utube, instagram, & the many musical channels where I can hear the beautiful music. Thank you for this!!❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏
Pls send your email 😊
DNA tests are on sale quite often! Ancestry and others also! I worked customer service jobs all my life! I sold Waterford Crystal at one and was determined to visit the factory and my Irish ancestral trail there. I saved for 2 years and fulfilled my travel wishes! You can do it!
This is what heaven must look like - Thank you so much for this
I knew a lady that was of Irish decent. She was kind and loved by many, She loved to sing and when she was ill and taken in an ambulance she was still singing. The people attending to her would yell out "Sing Mary sing". What a beautiful and charitable soul missed by many. That was my mother!!! Thank you for this video. The memory lingers!
Émouvant !
The great thing about this music as it the whole world can enjoy it.
Beautiful and relaxing music, the views in the video are amazing!
She was a very intelligent & wise woman & she taught me much about life & people.)
She always spoke in either Irish or Norge, as she was multi ethnic/multi-lingual.
I consider this music calming...i always listerns to it if things gets to much or i am sad..this calms me down thank you...stunning country
Im not irish but i really love your place its paradise, the very beautiful people and music.May God bless you more❤

Желим ти да будеш срећан у тој кући у Ирској поздрав из Србије у којој живе људи веома слични Ирцима ❤

I love this music, healing and relaxing, and the country... beautiful, once i will visit it, everything best from Slovakia❤
I have been to Galway Bay.
I have climbed your highest mountain, Carantouhil.
I have camped on Achill Island, (nearly blew my tent away.!)
I have wondered at those majestic Cliffs of Moher.
This is it! Listening to it I felt so serene, happy, joyful !- all in all- just POSITIVE!!!💞💞💞
Wonderful to crochet to this music and gorgeous sights. Thank you. One day I hope to see some of this area.

"They dunna understand our land like we do."
The most important thing goes to what you were saying about being heartbroken to not be there anymore.

I'm Irish Scots. This video stopped by pure chance on Carlavorick castle. The ancestral home of my Scottish anceztors the Maxwells.
Excuse my typo I meant Caerlaverock castle in Dumfries SW Scotland.
My soul sings with the music. My ancestors from Ireland paved the way for my life to exist. Listening to this feels like home.
Honoring those who came before you is something I hope millennials don't loose in this crazy world today as it is very good to do and lets them live again in your heart.
Thank you for this video. This is how I like to travel now. I’m 75 years old now and still very busy working at making a place to live in the mountains. I really like the way you show the name of the places we visit on the screen! Thanks again!

Special melody collection, reminders of a childhood. " Thank you for the compilation. "
Super schöne Musi - da höre ich Schottland , dass ich so liebe !!
I don't know what it is about this one, but I just love it. Maybe it's b/c I've been to some of these places and it brings back wonderful memories?! The music and visuals are just so well done. Thank you so much for this ode to my Celtic ancestral homelands!
This really is one of your best. We love Celtic music and this is simply fantastic.
Many thanks,
Adele
Beautiful celtic music, that brings me to my roots! ❤
Beautiful Irland I went last April, and I know I'll return to that marvellous country 😍💖
2003 when I visited Scotland, I found ❤ myself there in the castle of Edinburgh!!! Thank so much ❤ Scotland!!!!
Now more than ever, I regret not being born in the Highlands, Land of My Ancestors.
Stranger in a Strange Land.
Greetings to my celtic siblings from Asturias, North Spain
Wonderful music, nice visual presentation. Thank you dear friend for sharing beauty.
Odnoszę wrażenie jakby niebo śpiewało,a słońce z księżycem tańczyło a w koło gwiazdy wtórują,niesamowite❤❤❤
I am of German descent but have always enjoyed Irish and Scottish music for years and since I have found your music I now play it every day with a smile. Thank you.
It simply doesn't get any better than this.
So beautiful and have looked forward to this blessing! Thank you.
I'm Asian..from Philippines..my ears like hearing this kind of music..i don't know why...i just resonate so well...
Isn't Music the Global Language for every mind and soul? I value and respect every kind of music from every culture through out this lovely planet Earth.
Обожаю ирландскую музыку! В ней какая-то извечная хрустальная чистота и как она гармонична с природой! Это истинное наслаждение! Спасибо!
Here is another Spanish in love with Celtic music in general and Irish music in particular. I don't know what it is about this music that attracts Spanish people so much (and I'm not exactly from the north of Spain). A hug to the Celtic world!
Es gibt nichts mehr als bei diesen Bilder aber noch viel mehr als bei der Musik zu entspannen.
With mostly both Irish but also Scottish roots, these songs and those like them from both the Emerald Isle and Highlands resonated deep within.
