That is one sweet setup! 👍... You've given me some great ideas regarding the color coordination for the emergency kits. I truly like what you've done. Simple & easy! 👍👍
I like that it is a full size truck (but not oversized, that made me laugh because it is true) and the color coding of important kits is something that I do as well. Love the walkaround videos!
Nice video. Like the truck, great mods, but a big thanks for pointing out the safety and first aid gear. It’s kind of been an afterthought for me, and it’s way more important than i considered.
Nice rig! A Dometic or the like pullout setup is the work around for me, when family isn’t traveling. Thought about right rear passenger, where the fold up is with a possible slide out there.
@@BlueRidgeOverlandGear Basically to run my fridge, a couple LED camp lights and charge my phone. I got a trolling motor box that had 2 cig plugs and I installed a couple usbs and volt meter. I got a victron DC/DC charger to charge while driving and solar for maintaining while parked. I currently have the battery and fridge in the cab in the back seat and that's what I don't like. I want to relocate it to the bed ( like in this video) and just install some plugs and volt meter towards the rear of the bed. Plus I'd like shore power. Just a lot to do. I'm still learning...
Great build, definitely gives me some inspiration for when I get my own Ram. What led to the choice of covered top vs. the Lietner system? I was looking at that rack as well, but I also live in a rainy area so I'm curious what they didn't like about it.
Anyway you could provide a link for the rails or rack needed for the tent to be on your camper shell. Also how would you say the fiberglass hold up with weight on it?
I have a 2022 Ram 1500 limited and love it. I would never consider it for an overland heavy duty off road vehicle. It’s ok but the transfer case is not up to par with heavy duty off road abuse. No front locking differential offered and you can’t change the gears without replace the entire front differential. I would go to a Toyota Tundra or Ford raptor to start. I look at my Ram 1500 is a city truck good for occasional towing and mostly just goes to the grocery store. It is super comfortable and luxurious interior. I would never ever take it off road.
This one worked great for Fury for forest roads, some mild off-roading, and as a base camp for first responder needs. It's not necessarily for rock crawling, but he did take it over Bald Mountain here in Virginia, and that's more interesting than your average forest road.
Awesome video buddy thanks for sharing. Hey how many miles do you have on the truck and where would you recommend a good 4x4 shop to rig out a 2012 ram at here in North Carolina I'm in the Cleveland County area
You'll have to check with @furytrainingconcepts on IG. He brought his rig by the shop and we filmed the walkaround, but we don't have that size info handy.
Sadly not. And he has since sold the vehicle, so I don't think he has specs on it any more. Check out our other series live right now that goes over electrical components, wiring, and charging. Some good info in there.
Weird question, how do you get so many patches? Is there like a pack you can buy? I like the look of the patches but at $5 each it can get a little pricey!
As someone who is working on an offroad/overlanding build on my own Ram 1500, this was very helpful! Thank you.
Very welcome!
Definitely appreciate the shared logic behind color coded first aid gear as I have a similar setup
Glad you found it helpful.
I love the battery set-up is legit and ill keep that in mind
Thanks!
almost makes me want my 1500 back. Do enjoy the build and logic behind it. nice to see more and more ram builds being displayed, ty!!!

This was rock solid. I enjoy the efficient setup. I will definitely use some of these on my ram build
Great to hear!
This truck is set up AWESOME

Right on! Thanks for the comment!
looks great doing few thing like that to mine soon
Go for it!

Lots of options on trucks like this.
Awesome truck.
We agree!
Great setup! I love it! I'm not happy with my current duel battery setup and I might try something like this.
What's the goal for the second battery?

You'll have to check with John. His IG is @furytrainingconcepts

What size is that topper rack ?

might be a bit late but why not put in AlphaRexx lights? Imo the OEM lights are about as useful as candles :D
Yeah, this was a while ago. John has since moved on to another build.
There is no such thing as an oversized truck 😉 Nice rig !
Depending on the trail there is. LoL
Love it
Glad you enjoyed it.
whats the suspension set up to hold all that weight?
@gobi_recon should be able to help
Does the grill support the active shudder system in the ram?
Awesome setup. Besides the air suspension in the rear, is it lifted or leveled?
He's running a level kit, but no lift.
New sub and nice rig
How did you black out the handles
John would have that detail for you. He's @furytrainingconcepts on IG.
I need to know what bumper this is
It's the Warn Ascent with the added PreRunner.
How much time, cost did it take for all that?
Do you have any links for the battery charging system? Or a wiring diagram?
Sadly not. And he has since sold the vehicle, so I don't think he has specs on it any more. Check out our other series live right now that goes over electrical components, wiring, and charging. Some good info in there.
For RAM mounts, is everything suctioned, screwed, or bolted?
Pretty much.
Out of curiosity what's he doing for the spare tire? My 2015 Big Horn won't fit a 35'' tire under bed. Was he able to shoehorn it under there?
You'll have to check with John. He's on IG @furytrainingconcepts

Many people collect and trade patches at events. Others do pay for them. However almost all collections are built over many years.
