Does laughing out loud and hard nose blowing increse eye pressure?!

Hard nose blowing could cause a temporary spike in eye pressure, because that is one of those valsalva maneuver acts that increases pressure in the body. It's so short-term though that I would not be concerned about it affecting glaucoma, unless done very frequently and glaucoma is very severe. It's not well-understood if there is a connection between laughter and increased eye pressure, however, I could see if it's the kind of laugh where you can't even breathe for a few seconds that it could potentially act similarly to the valsalva manuever.... But I would say that even if it were to temporarily increase eye pressure, the benefits of laughter would outweigh the risks. :D Your question really got me thinking, and led me to this cool article I think you might like! visionscienceacademy.org/sparkling-eyes-unleashing-the-power-of-laughter-for-a-brighter-outlook/
