Here something to make you think. In Digimon Tamers when the Sovereign ask Calumon to lend their power to Digivolve all the Digimon they did so even to the ones attacking Beelzemon which turned into Diaboramon. I always felt like Calumon accidentally started another "Our War Game."
The Loogamon line is literally such a solid line from top to bottom. Just wish the jogress was more like an electric/fire wolfman or something so Pulsemon could get some more respect 😭

While the design might be kind of lame, I think putting one of Pulsemon's megas in the same class as OwRyumon is pretty respectful.
Yeah, I love the line, but the design is so off-putting. It is probably my most disliked mega of the year. I almost hate it as much as the Shoutmon X3 and more.

Fenriloogamon being a main partner's line that ends quadrupedal is really neat. It being a blue mammal that ends like that feels like a riff on Gabumon instead of Agumon #15 which isn't untapped but is a bit more neat and unique.

ArkhaiAngemon has been a long time coming for me as a Principality Digimon. With SlashAngemon and ClavisAngemon covering Powers and Virtues, Dominimon for Dominions, Angemon and others for Angels, Angewomon and MagnaAngemon for Archangels, and, of course, the Celestial Digimon covering Seraphim, Ophanim, and Cherubim, we were only missing one rank of the angelic hierarchy: the Principality. It felt so weird for so long that it was just the one missing, so I wholeheartedly welcome ArkhaiAngemon into the new year.
Not that I was a huge Piddomon fan but I LOVE that Piddomon and Dominimon got a line showing that Bandai isn’t ONLY focused on new things but taking older things and folding in new things too. My cynical side though notes that two new digimon is “easier” than four 😅

I want to be completely onest, the gabumon line has always been my main favorite line, but since they announced loogamon and then his evos they became a very close second

the new d-brigade mons look so cool! it speaks to me, because i recently got out of the military. and if i ever get the chance to chose my own digimon, these would be it.
Shoe-premacy! They are friend shaped and I love them.
One thing I find interesting is the nearly posted character blurb for ghostmon has the digivolitions hidden so I’m curious to see if they’re just being obscured to hide some upcoming cards or if it’s gonna be another new line. I feel like we’ve been getting a ton of new Digimon this year and *knock on wood* none of them have missed. So I’m definetly curious to see the 2024 new Digimon ranking in 2025.

Curious to know how many new Digimon we’ll have by the end of the year, because it’s only been three months and it already feels like we almost have as many Digimon revealed as we did in 2023. I know that’s not literally the case but it feels that ways since Liberator is giving us 5 new Digivolition lines as opposed to the two in Seekers.

I absolutely love Hi-commandramon. It's just a war greymon. (Not a wargreymon lol) But yeah I love the metal greymon helmet. It's so nice. I just wish there was a good bipedal dragon ult for commandramon. Tankdramon has treads and Carrierdramon is a blimp. I want a proper ult. Though I do love more D-brigade mons.
I’d say you should look back into Seekers, it’s story is honestly pretty cool and surprisingly heartbreaking in places - which is always a must for a good Digimon story! How Seekers portrays the ecology of the Digital World is pretty dang nifty as well, I’d love to see aspects of this iteration of the Digital World pop up again in the future. The machine translation debacle is fair to criticize, but the story we have gotten so far is legitimately compelling imho.. especially the connection between Ryudamon, Dorumon, and Loogamon. I’d love to see you do a full depth review of the story when it’s finally finished!

Loogamon's line became one of my top favourite digimon alongside Lopmon's line. I love the Mythology aspect behind it being based on Fenrir most likely. I just hope it shows up in the next digimon game alongside Lopmon so I can use both on my team. ❤❤❤ Happy New Year Karn!

I like that Fenrirloogamon is a “daydream of a digicore” Just like Ouryumon and my favorite Dorugoramon! Further cementing that it belongs along side Ryudamon and Dorumon. Also the Takemikazuchi mode gives off Alphamon Ouryuken vibes

I think my S's aren't that far from yours actually. I completely agree on the hamster-shoe and Brigademon brigade (hah) ass well as the steroid Magnamon, which is a given given my profile pic. My differing S's would be "DemiAngemon", "Liberatormon" and ArchaiAngemon, I think. Edit: Oh, and Liampumon would be S too, such a cool design in my book. The rest I pretty much would put A or lower in the same order you've put them. Awesome list, happy new years Karn.
i do hope in the future the D-brigade get a Navy line since both current line are army and air force. Luxmon is my favorite new digimon, love the small dood

My favorites might be Dijangmon and Brigadedramon; I'm sucker for D-Brigade, and it's fun to see Chinese Vampire (Jiangshi) Digimon. Takatomon is solid A+ for me, but I admit, seeing 10 Warrior Fuse with Legend-Arms is unexpected.
Dijiangmon. I can see it working in a Chimeramon line as well as a counterpart of sorts to Gargoylemon in terms of its design. I absolutely love it!
The shoe Digimon is probably going to be in a cinderella line based on it having an attack called fairy tale something. Its the rats that sewn Cinderella's dress. And thats why it has a shoe.I always wanted more fairytale Digimon because I love Fangmon, Puppetmon and the 3 Peter Pan Digimon so I love it too.

I wouldn't have included the Liberators mons because we don't have the names and we only have partial shots for half of them.
It's pretty exciting going into 2024. February 10 will be the Chinese/Lunar New Year, we'll be going into the Year of the Dragon (Year of the Naga in Thailand).
Also, I think it could be fun to see Karn do some Digimon content connected to Zoids; Zoids is a franchise that centers around giant mecha modeled after animals, real and mythological, that use powerful computer systems for their operation seems very well set for some Digimon content, in a variety of ways.
For Fenriloogamon Takemikazuchi, it kinda feels like a nod to Alphamon Ouryuken where Ouryumon just becomes a sword and wings

I mean the DNA-Digivolution of Alphamon and Owryumon is pretty much the same like Fenriloogamon and Kazuchimon with Owryumon turning into Alphamons Weapon. Not saying that I like this kind of DNA-Digivolutions myself but yeah that's a thing xD

I agree with most of what you said about the new D-brigade. I'm absolutely in love with them, though I do personally prefer Darkdramon as the mega just because I think design and lore wise it stands out a bit more, but Brigadramon is still fantastic.
Dijiangmon might be my personal favorite of the year, and I hope we see more of it in 2024.

Predicting PulseBirdMon is gonna be be the Wind Guardians Pendulum COLOR guest route, along the same sort of lines as the GhostGame and Seekers evo lines that have already been confirmed.
Hear me out, Takutoumon looks like a great digievolution for Kumbhiramon.
If in the future we somehow get an Ogremon to Eldoradimon line, it would be great to finally have a jogress that does Leomon and Ogremon's rivalry some justice. Tlalocmon could be huge in that sense.
Also Kazuchimon becoming Takemikazuchi is the same vibe as Imperialdramon just having Omnimon as a sword in Paladin mode.

I really like the new bird rookie and in my heart it would go up beside the new shoe digimon. It feels a lot like bulucomon where they take the standard dino/draconic main rookie and add an element usually reserved for the secondary main characters (that being bird and ice respectively).
I don't know why be the new pink baby lookin digimon reminds me of petitmamon.

I agree with the complaint of Kazuchimon kinda getting shafted when it fuses with Fenriloogamon, but it kinda does the same thing as Alphamon Ouryu Mode, which is kinda fitting as the other 2 main digimon for seekers are a Ryudamon and a Dorumon, so realistically seeing Alphamon Ouryu Mode fight alongside Fenriloogamon Takemikazuchi isnt impossible (granted im pretty sure seekers is either already or almost over so probably not)

True. A fusion between all Fenriloodamon Takemikazuchi and Alphamon Ouryu Mode that resulted in a giant flaming electric wolf knight thing wielding a lightning staff and a giant battle axe would've been SO COOL. Sadly digimon seekers just didn't really get as much attention as the creators wanted, so they couldn't really do that much with it, and while both Fenriloodamon Takemikazuchi and Alphamon Ouryu Mode are cool in their own rights, it doesn't mean they couldn't have been cooler if the other half didn't get shafted and just turned into a massive weapon.
It is most likely that Fenriloogamon Takemikazuchi will end up fused with Alphamon Ouryuken. I say this because Fenriloogamon is a prototype digimon and Takemikazuchi is an ultimate battle blade you know one of the weapons of the royal knights

Those last 2 I personally would not even include as reveals because we don't even have full character art for them. The first one all I can see is the eye of the Digimon and that's simply not enough information for me to even rank it. And the last one I don't even know what I'm looking at, it just doesn't look like anything. I really need to actually see the Digimon before I decide if I like it or not so teaser images like that where I can't actually see the full design I don't consider to even be reveals. Those are teasers and we'll probably see the actual reveal some time next year.

I think that Fenriloogamon: Takemikazuchi is kinda fair to have Kazuchimon as a weapon because it kinda ties back to Alphamon: Ouryuken which does the same thing and they're from the same group so for me its not that bad.

I like that new century being a Chinese specific game allows them to explore more of that culture and I'd like to see them do that with other cultures. Imagine something like the world tour of 02 but with digimon that represents their cultures. Maybe the digimon that emerge in different parts of the world reflect those cultures or maybe these digimon even come from different parts of the digital world

I guess that Fenriloogamon: Takemikazuchi is a counterpart to Alphamon: Ouryuken.
Both have a natural X-Antibody, both got a sidekick that turn into a weapon after reaching Mega. Of the four Digimon, only Kazuchimon does not have a natual X-Antibody.
Interestingly enough Alphamon: Ouryuken has never been treated as a jogress (or at least not that I am aware of).
Waiting for a "Jogress" where Alphamon: Ouryuken rides Fenriloogamon: Takemikazuchi into battle.
Depends it treated as a mode change in some media in other media it treated as a jogress
Personally the top S-tier are a tie between FenriLoogarmon and Siriusmon, Diarbitmon and Amphimon. They and their rookie are the best Partner group since Tamers.
All the Ghost Game megas debuted in 2022 but yeah that's fair they're all good :)
