All my Honda/Acura techs I know the feeling of using the slow HDS and how annoying it can be when you’re trying to flat rate the day away lol. This can also do all keys lost without the pcm code. All my DIY people this is a great addition to your Honda / Acura vehicle. This makes life so much easier 💯.
@@kayjay4060 thanks!! I assumed they were the same, but no biggies, as long as I can fix high idle if it happens after cleaning, I'm all set. I ordered one and plan on throttle body cleaning after I get the scan tool and see that it works. Great tool to have. My 2008 civic si is ultra reliable, but for $120 may as well have a better than basic scan tool.
@@jayc4283 Hold the throttle plate open by turning the key to the on (2) position. (Key on Engine off), and pushing on the accelerator pedal. Make certain that the pedal is never depressed while you have your fingers in there cleaning. You will not like the outcome. Do not push on the butterfly valve to open it. Use the pedal to open it with the electric motor. Otherwise you could damage the electric motor.
@@kayjay4060 Thanks!!!! Got the Creader, ran all the updates, got some interesting extra choice when I select "all" on one of the screen, if I select "Asian" then it looks like most of the online content. Been snowing so testing in car in a couple days and idea if it will push new serial numbers (new in box so I have serial numbers) for TPMS sensors to the computer? I'll figure it it out in a couple day regardless new throttle body gasket at the ready. Not sure if I'll get to the cleaning before my work season starts, no biggie. My plan was as you said use pedal to open butterfly, plan to remove it first and then energize for better access to spray and soft brush. For the money this seems like a great tool. It will pay for itself just walking a buyer through the health check for their confidence, if I ever sell this car.
So you stated with the manual reset for older acuras vs the software reset which is for newer acuras. what would a 2012 4g TL fall under? I plan on getting one for my car and wanted to know. Thank you for sharing this! I peeped the window calibration part as well. My driver window does not auto roll up anymore. Instead it will act like it will go all the way up then it will go back down about 3 inches. I can see this being a great investment since i work on my car as much as possible.
For the 2012 Acura TL yes it falls under the newer models and you can definitely manually reset each single maintenance minder items with this scan tool 👍. I haven’t tried the window reset procedure yet I need to try it lol
A year or two ago I got a Foxwell NT510 Elite from Amazon for about the same price as this. It’s served me well and I don’t need another scanner, but the touch screen on this one is tempting me. 😅
What year honda/acura vehicles will all the features work with? It would be great if it started from the late 90s. Has anyone tested it with older vehicles, like monitor resets or module tests?
from what I gathered on other videos, you can see fuel pressure. I believe one guy had turned on fuel pump, then went to a screen and showed displayed pressure to confirm pump was working.

I have same one, It works well on my Civic 2008.
Is throttle reset same as Idle relearn? I'm wondering if it is what is needed in case of high idle after throttle body cleaning? THANKS!!
You need throttle reset followed by idle relearn (3k til fan on, idle 5 min. excl., fan on time). Throttle reset is not the same as idle relearn.

Lol 😆
What kind of updates would it do for the car?? Like updates straight from the dealer?
It’s not able to perform Dealer Type updates to the vehicles. It has free lifetime updates on the scan tool itself only.

Worked great on my 07 TL Type S. Haven’t yet used it on any 1996 Hondas or Acuras yet. I’m sure it’ll work
I have a 96 and 00 Integra also a 02 rsx type s will this product be good for these years or could you point me in a direction for one
I just got this same model. Instructions say only 1 year of free updates. After that you got to PAY for your updates
Thanks for the heads up

Does it check fuel pressure?

It doesn’t read turbo
Have you tried it and it doesn’t read the turbo data?
