Hey Joe, do not brush your teeth right after drinking lemon juice - it makes your teeth softer and they wear off easier. Same applies to cola and others - you can actually feel the teeth having different texture :)
i love this video. thank you for this. im currently sitting sitting on my laptop at 4 am, whilst stressing out for an interview into a flight school in about 3 hours. the pandemic REALLY stalled all the plans that i graphed for my career in aviation. Ive been studying my ground subjects for over a year and a half because of the pandemic and the uncertain examination schedules in my country. its not very nice for an aspiring pilot to be held back so early into their career. im not going to sugarcoat this, but it genuinely has been a dreadful few months of contemplating my career decisions. im in the mindset of just winging it, taking whatever opportunity that comes to me and gaining as much knowledge and experience as i possibly can. im still not sure whether im on the right path or not. but im certainly sure that your weekly videos are a prime reminder for me to become as knowledgeable, highly experienced, disciplined, focused and admirable as you. im not entirely sure if you'd ever see this comment but i just want to thank you for helping me in ways you cant imagine. i will make sure to come back and tell you whether ive become the pilot i always wanted to be. i love you captain joe.
If you are truly bitten by the aviation bug - once a pilot always a pilot. Aviation is very black and white you either love it or hate it. Sounds like you love it so don't let a bad occurrence stop you from achieving your dream of becoming a professional pilot. The world is big and there are pilot jobs all over the world keep your focus broad. Truth in reality you never stop becoming a pilot as you always are studying, being tested, recurrent training, advanced training, safety training. The only time you stop being a pilot is when you can't pass your medical. YOU CAN DO IT!
Captain Joe, your morning routine of 10-months is very workable. Any single working class can do it. But it becomes a challenge when one has a wife and little children. I love your videos, I always watch. Hopefully, sometimes in the future I'll meet you in person.
First time the baby starts throwing up during your meditation period or the wife wants to talk about the family budget before breakfast, your schedule is trashed. This is for the single man's lifestyle.
I see a lot of iffy comments on this video, but I’d like to say how motivational it is to see what you do in the mornings. Also, thank you so much for the vids, they are fantastic.
When you're going to a job that you really like that gives you a sense of purpose and fulfills your financial needs, it's easy to do these things. But if you don't have that dream job, it's very hard to do these things everyday.

Most of my fellow pilots and cabin crew have family. It is not a problem. Many other professions have a very similar work pattern too. Look at doctors, nurses, train drivers, taxi drivers, maintenance engineers, policemen, firemen,....the list goes on and on. They all have families and they all cope just fine.

For several reasons; one of them is that these tips are what really energises you in the morning and not the inbox or chat apps, plus it’s an addiction and it steals the time you have in the morning. One of the good morning routines too, in addition to what you said, is “starting your day my making your bed 🛏. Before watching this clip, we had made some positive assumptions on and about you, as being very disciplined, methodical, studious, intellectual & extrovert person, and we are happy to note that those have come true.. And glad to know more about you.. U have already become icons and idols of young generation of aviation field. I worked 20 years in Airline Industry, but many of my doubt and queries have got crystal cleared. I hv watched all of your clips, some twice.. People like this pilot are rare breed. Most people can't even follow daily task with amount of dedication like Joe has alone for his morning routine. We too lazy.
Captain Joe, can you tell how you go to sleep any time you need, did you use some pills? I guess you have not fixed flights shedule, so some days you need go to bet at 22:00, some days at 19:00 in order to have enough time for sleep and all morning routines. Thanks!
I have always struggled with sleep problems and fatigue. As someone who is subscribed to this channel for the many aviation related resources, I am ecstatic that you have provided information of what powers you. "Pilot Fuel" we can call it! Haha! great videos! Will try to implement this into my routine and see what happens. Thank you!
That’s one hell of a routine! I don’t think you will have any problem reaching your goals! The most important thing is that you wrote it down and have a date as to when it will be accomplished. As they say, a goal without a plan is just a wish.
Oskari Mölkänen Finally someone noticed! Thank you. I thought I missed it. Even when I had to get up at 03:00 when I was a purser in my early years I planned 30 minutes for a leasurely breakfast. Especially when after 4 legs your next chance to eat would be late in the evening in a hotel.
Hi, i first watched this video when I was about to join my flying school back in 2018. Timeskip 6 years later, I am one week away from reporting to my national airline carrier this February. I wanna say thank you for inspiring me and I hope I can be a great pilot as you!

Captain Joe, I love your videos. The passion you have for balance of mental state as well as physical is awesome. Any books you recommend?
Before watching this clip, we had made some positive assumptions on and about you, as being very disciplined, methodical, studious, intellectual & extrovert person, and we are happy to note that those have come true..
And glad to know more about you.. U have already become icons and idols of young generation of aviation field. I worked 20 years in Airline Industry, but many of my doubt and queries have got crystal cleared. I hv watched all of your clips, some twice.. I m Mech Engr, now retired as "Superintendent of Construction" from Kuwait Airways..
Thank you Joe, I was looking forward to this video😉
Thanks :)
Monday😒 Tuesday😒 Wednesday😒 Thursday😍 best day in the week because Captain Joe load up a new Video👍🏻
People like this pilot are rare breed. Most people can't even follow daily task with amount of dedication like Joe has alone for his morning routine. We too lazy.
you forgot to mention 10 min in the toilet. great video. great info. added to favorites
Only 10 minutes? I wish!
10 minutes!?!?! increase your fibre intake...lol
Eat plantbased and you shouldn't need more than a minute.

Captain Joe, can you tell how you go to sleep any time you need, did you use some pills? I guess you have not fixed flights shedule, so some days you need go to bet at 22:00, some days at 19:00 in order to have enough time for sleep and all morning routines. Thanks!
Motivation level is OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly , this morning routine or another, but Capatin Joe is a reeal role model as a presenter.
Not your average Joe!
Aren't you eating any breakfast
He made pancakes or something in that pan, just didn’t mention it
He had half a squeezed lemon in that mug of water.
Free food at airport???
Gal Fleming lol
Oskari Mölkänen Finally someone noticed! Thank you. I thought I missed it. Even when I had to get up at 03:00 when I was a purser in my early years I planned 30 minutes for a leasurely breakfast. Especially when after 4 legs your next chance to eat would be late in the evening in a hotel.
I anticipated some checklists in his routine :)
In my mind ;)
HELP I CAN’T STOP WATCHING THIS VIDEO IT’S SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I definitely couldn't wake up with this lamp. I think that with this subtle music I would fall asleep...
Then you can play fucking Marduk out of it :D
I THINK This is THE BEST VIDEO IN YOUR CHANNEL.
Very thanks cap Joe.
Carlos Vargas i
Joe you are my inspiration...keep doing well... my heart loves with us...
Hey Joe, I'm currently 15 years old and I want to become a pilot. These kind of videos are very helpfull. I want to thank you for the advice.
My pleasure :)
Most people would just wake up, brush their teeth, eat and get dressed. Job done!
You brush your teeth before you eat?
Yes. You don't wanna eat all that gunk on your teeth, do you?
What gunk? You're supposed to brush your teeth before you sleep, and in the morning after breakfast.
Slash Le Pew that’s just disgusting in my opinion, I can’t stand not brushing my teeth so I do it immediately
I am not "most" people!
Thank you for this routine, it's game changer.
Respect but i'd rather sleep two hours more
Then go to sleep earlier.
Titanius lol
Yep
You're so inspiring! Thank you Captain Joe :)
My pleasure William!
Hi, i first watched this video when I was about to join my flying school back in 2018. Timeskip 6 years later, I am one week away from reporting to my national airline carrier this February. I wanna say thank you for inspiring me and I hope I can be a great pilot as you!
Hello great video,I turned 14 two days ago and I have been watching your videos for a while ,I have always wanted to be a pilot since I was small because I traveled alot and view you get from the plane never gets old ,I have always wanted to go to the cockpit and see from that view but it never happened so my goal is to become a pilot and see the view properly and because my parents want me to become a pilot ,my 2 sister's work in the airport as well which they also inspired me to become a pilot ,I hope to become like you one day 😄,good luck
3-4min shower? How is that even possible? Washing body and shampooing usually takes me 15 mins.
When you're on standby and rushing for a flight it's very possible..... Sooooo it's tough and painful but you'll get used to it.
Shampoo: 30s-1m
Washing body: 45s-1m30s
I get my bath done (with body wash and shampoo) in max 6 mins.
Takes me about 10min
Airline pilot here. I’d say 3-4 min is my average
Captain Joe, you have already made it, you are one hell of a motivational speaker, plus you are addicted, can't stop watching your videos.
Really enjoyed this video. It has been challenging finding a successful morning routine, especially when there is 10 inches of snow outside that needs to be moved.
Scott Nickels there's your workout
You are amazing Joe!!! I wish I can follow these steps every morning before going to work.
Fr I’ve done some of this and I’m feeling better than ever. I added some daily regiments from my parents/coaches and fr you don’t know how much this is helping me to Persue my dreams to become an airline pilot
Your advice is very useful and you are very nice, thanks Captain Joe !!!
