I thought I would love the space black after watching a bunch of videos online. After going to see them in person I was unimpressed with the space black. They were all covered in greasy smudges and fingerprints both outside and in. Also, the black keyboard makes the space black look less black.
I prefer space gray. Then silver. Then space black. I don’t know where Apple got the bright idea to completely eliminate the space grey from the max model.
Got mine today, went with the black since I’ve had silver all my life and my gosh it looks stunning in real life. In one environment it’s pitch dark, the next a beautiful dark grey and in another it’ll be a dark space blue

actually i love it too almost all my device is white or silver but since i compare silver and space gray in the store space grey look so elegant.. and thats what i always saw in airport also people holding space grey look so fancy elegant and cool
@@crazygulrot not at all, as long as your finger is clean from oil or food stains.. and i think it’s good for me also to always clean my device if it’s visible of dust or kinda marks.
I doubt that the color of the keyboard is lighter on the Space Black MBP compared to that of the Silver MBP: I suspect what you are seeing is a well known optical illusion that the perceived darkness or color changes based on the color of what is in the background.
I went with silver because it looks clean and this is my first personal MAC. Then I come to the comments and see that I picked good makes me a happy boy! lol It really does the look the best imo
I just ordered a 16 inch m3 MBP in space black. I wanted something different from my 11 year old MBP. And most people get the silver one, so the space black will certainly stand out. Super excited.
I miss the colour of the chassis breaking up the keyboard ie silver between the keys. Hell, I’d pay more for them to omit this process. It was easier on my eyes and it didn’t give Lenovo thinkpad from the 90s/00s vibes
@@Why_Usernamessolid plan. 😊 One of my favourite MacBook pros was, I believe, the 2013 retinas …light up apple, better quality keys, MagSafe charging, silver between the keys and the aluminum felt more like raw metal (don’t ask me why, maybe I’m nuts but the metal feels less premium now)…honestly if I could somehow have the mini led screen with 120hz and new chips in that very old chassis, I’d do it in a heartbeat. First world problem I know but excuse me while my heart breaks over apple feeling less apple.

I’ve had two macbook pros since 2002…. I’m tired of the silver….. would like a change. Would have LOVED the star light 😔. But thinking of going for black just to change it up.

@@HenrikoMagnificoI own one and yes, sadly it does get dirty easily, especially around the trackpad and keyboard area as it’s the area where apple didn’t use their new fingerprint anodization process. As for scratches, so far if you’re careful enough then you should be good- but accidents can happen where u might get it scratched by something, and if you plan to keep this macbook for more than 3 years then you should really expect to have scratches as it is fairly normal over the course of years. But with this space black color, since it’s “black” and it shines a dark gray color on light, it will show any scratches very easily. I love the new color and i only really bought it to stand out from the other macbooks as it’s only available for the m3 pro and m3 max versions, but i might return it and get the silver one instead because i do plan on keeping a macbook pro for years to come.

I never ever liked Silver but I think Space Black is a terrible option for a computer you might take outside on sunny days. Space Grey for me, always! My almost fully loaded 2017 MacBook Pro ist still perfect for my workload, I might be looking for a slightly used M2 MacBook Pro in 2024! ;-)
The only reason I use silver because everyone I know uses windows laptop and those laptops are mostly black. So I just look different using the silver one.
old mac's standard color was always grey.. i think black only looked best on PowerBooks.. but since the advent of iMacs and MacBooks.. silver definitely has the best Apple Look.
Finally about to upgrade to the M1 Max and I’m getting silver, waited for the 3 to come out and I’m happy cause the prices for the M1 Max are so cheap 1TB 64GB ram 16 inch for $2,000 refurbished 🔥 that’s the starting price of the new MacBook Pro M3 Pro 😂😂

Definitely NOT "the darkest Macbook ever". Before the Space Black color came along, there was the 2008 Black Macbook 13" Core 2 Duo. Look it up, it looks amazing to this day. Some of us have been waiting many years for Apple to release another true black Mac. Space Black is nice, but it's just a shadow of the OG Blackbook.
Just bought the space black M3 16” pro. It really does look just completely black in dimly lit settings. This thing is heavy duty. Unsure how necessary it will be for just daily light use. But so far so good, I guess lol. I do prefer space grey though. I wish they had that color option.

Owned 2 space grays on older MacBooks. Recently bought the m3 pro in silver and love it! Definitely the best color imo.

Silver is the best. Not only the look, but the material itself. The paint will never degrade overtime, because thats the base color of aluminum.

I always had space gray macbook pro, but when I bought the "14 m1 pro they only had silver in stock on sale and... i have to say I like it.

The black plastic MacBook from circa 2007 was the darkest MacBook ever. It didn’t look silver from any angle.
