    In this video I show a unique way to light the photon torpedo launcher area of the model using some wide angle LED's.

    I love the constant sharing of tips that help avoid disasters.
    p.s. Avoid using Tamiya panel accents on BanDai kits, it causes the plastic to oxidize and become exceptionally brittle.

    I enjoyed this video. I’m currently working on my own build on my channel. the enterprise d die cast model from fanhome so far I’m doing ok. Soon I’ll post on my plastic model of the refit but I’m still waiting on parts and funds to buy the other parts I need to include the paint.

    I was waiting to see your method in the side lights on the shuttle pod airlocks. Your method is similar to mine. Which make me feel good knowing I was on the right track.

    My way of thinking is if you want to Light Model it won't look right if you don't Light the Weapons because that Model is so Big .

    Re. the resistors for the photorp lighting being superfluous… I guess resistance really IS futile, huh?

    Awesome! Been stuck building the 1/537 smoothy as having a broken neck limits what I can do so the kit’s been sitting there for months until I get healed but this build will be a joy to watch and keep me going.

      I think it's my bench or something on it that's making that noise when I bump it. We don't have any locusts here but cicadas in the spring are a normal thing.

    Does the kit supply clear parts for the windows? If not do you leave them open or make with pva?

    • @TrekWorks

    Hi Boyd. I'll be starting to build the 1:350 scale enterprise refit, and I noticed in part 6 you used an after market part for the back side of the impulse crystal. I believe it was by hw, but I can't seem to find it to order the kit you used. One site was a spam site, and the others I've found look nothing like the type you used a few months ago when working on the saucer section. Would you be able to send me the information and or link where you found yours. Thank you, and happy modeling.

      Hi again Boyd. Unless I'm missing something, I can't seem to find the fusion core part you used in the recent 1:350 enterprise refit your working on. It's the bottom pieces that go on the underside of the fusion core with the hole in the center to place a 5mm led light. Its two pieces, the one piece is opaque, and the piece that fits in it has already been defused. You mentioned in the video that you can go back, and paint the opaque part black to light block it. Any further assistance would be appreciated. Thanks again Boyd.

    My favorite Enterprise of them all. Looking forward to your build of this. I had a heck of a time with this kit when it first came out. So many issues with its design. I was hoping they would retool this kit some day to make the saucer and nacelle struts connect stronger and better.

    • @TrekWorks
      @TrekWorks  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, a new kit would be nice. Also in the smaller scale to replace the crappy 1/537. I think that would be a big seller.
